<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/prince-harry">Prince Harry</a> made it clear that he won’t be taking his wife <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/meghan-markle">Meghan Markle</a> back to the United Kingdom anytime soon because he said it’s “still dangerous.”
During his appearance on <a href="https://people.com/prince-harry-appear-new-documentary-phone-hacking-hugh-grant-8675884">ITV’s documentary</a> “Tabloids on Trial,” the Duke of Sussex said that he’s worried about bringing the Duchess of Sussex or any member of his family to the country without adequate security, <a href="https://people.com/prince-harry-wont-bring-meghan-markle-back-uk-dangerous-8684163?utm_campaign=people&amp;utm_content=likeshop&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=instagram">People magazine</a> noted.
&#8220;It&#8217;s still dangerous, and all it takes is one lone actor, one person who reads this stuff to act on what they have read,&#8221; Harry said.
&#8220;And whether it&#8217;s a knife or acid, whatever it is, and these are things that are of genuine concern for me,” he added. “It&#8217;s one of the reasons why I won’t bring my wife back to this country.&#8221;
Following Prince Harry and Markle’s decision in 2020 to step down from their senior royal roles, RAVEC (a committee made up of the Home Office, Metropolitan Police, and the Royal Household) announced that it had removed the royal family member’s automatic right to taxpayer-funded U.K. police protection.

In February, the London High Court ruled in favor of the government and found that there had been no “procedural unfairness” in how the Duke of Sussex was being treated — despite his attorney’s argument that Prince Harry still faced security threats, the <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-68421992">BBC</a> reported.
Prince Harry had argued that there was unlawfulness in how he was being treated when his security protection was being made on a case-by-case basis rather than automatically being given at the same level he previously had.

Though parts of the decision were redacted, the court agreed with RAVEC’s decision, calling it “legally sound” to treat the royal’s protection the same as any other high-profile visitor to the U.K., the outlet noted.
Prince Harry has said he plans to appeal the decision after claiming that he needed the security protection for his kids, Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie, when they are in his native home.
&#8220;The U.K. is my home,” the royal previously said. “The U.K. is central to the heritage of my children and a place I want them to feel at home as much as where they live at the moment in the United States.”
&#8220;That cannot happen if there is no possibility to keep them safe when they are on U.K. soil,” he added. &#8220;I can&#8217;t put my wife in danger like that, and given my experiences in life, I&#8217;m reluctant to unnecessarily put myself in harm&#8217;s way too.”
The Duke of Sussex also offered to cover the costs, but earlier this year, the High Court denied his offer and <a href="https://people.com/prince-harry-loses-fight-police-protection-uk-8601439">upheld the decision to downgrade his security</a>, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/prince-harry-and-meghan-markle-learn-court-decision-about-police-protection">reported</a>.
The Home Office argued that it would be improper for the police to be hired as private security guards, The <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2023/05/23/world/europe/prince-harry-security-uk.html">New York Times</a> noted.

ESPN defended its decision to honor Prince Harry with the Pat Tillman Award for Service amid criticism from the mother of the late NFL star and U.S. Army Ranger after whom the accolade is named and others.
A statement to <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2024/07/01/espn-defends-prince-harry-pat-tillman-award/">TMZ</a> from the sports network read, &#8220;ESPN, with the support of the Tillman Foundation, is honoring Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, specifically for the work of The Invictus Games Foundation as it celebrates its 10th year promoting healing through the power of sport for military service members and veterans around the world.”
“&#8217;While we understand not everyone will agree with all honorees selected for any award, The Invictus Games Foundation does incredible work and ESPN believes this is a cause worth celebrating,” the statement added.
The statement was released after Tillman’s mom, Mary, reacted to news that the member of the royal family would be recognized at this month’s ESPYs with the award named after her son, the NFL safety-turned-Army Ranger who enlisted after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and was killed by friendly fire in 2004, according to the <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/06/30/us-news/us-hero-pat-tillmans-mom-slams-decision-to-honor-prince-harry-with-sons-award/">New York Post</a>.

“I am shocked as to why they [ESPN] would select such a controversial and divisive individual to receive the award,” Mary told the <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13584099/Prince-Harry-award-honour-war-hero.html">Daily Mail</a>.
“There are recipients that are far more fitting,” she added. “There are individuals working in the veteran community that are doing tremendous things to assist veterans.”
“These individuals do not have the money, resources, connections or privilege that Prince Harry has,” Tillman’s mother continued. “I feel that those types of individuals should be recognized.”
Following news about the Duke of Sussex being honored, a petition started against the network to make another decision, the Daily Mail noted.
“Awarding this honor to someone who does not reflect the award’s intent diminishes its value and disrespects Tillman’s memory,” the <a href="https://www.change.org/p/request-espn-to-rethink-awarding-the-pat-tillman-award-to-prince-harry">petition</a> read.
ESPN sports analyst <a href="https://x.com/search?q=Prince%20Harry%20and%20Pat%20Tillman&amp;src=typed_query" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pat McAfee</a> accused his own network of trying to upset people by making the decision.
“It’s going to Prince Harry,” McAfee said.  “Who I don’t even think is a Prince anymore, right? He said don’t call me that? See, why does the ESPYs do this s**t?”
“When you do something like this, you know the immediate reaction from humans and sports fans and like people with common sense and brains is going to be like &#8216;Hey, don&#8217;t be putting our f***ing guy with that guy,&#8217; McAfee <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/nfl/article-13581595/ESPNs-Pat-McAfee-disapproves-Prince-Harry-receiving-Pat-Tilman-Award-ESPYS.html">added</a>. 
In 2014, Prince Harry — who served in the British Army — launched the Invictus Games which featured a multi-sport, Paralympic-styled event for wounded or injured servicemen and veterans, the <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/06/30/us-news/us-hero-pat-tillmans-mom-slams-decision-to-honor-prince-harry-with-sons-award/">New York Post</a> reported.
“This one is for our entire service community,” Harry said after learning that he will receive the Pat Tillman Award, the outlet noted.
The ESPYs will take place on July 11, per TMZ.

The First Lady of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/nigeria">Nigeria</a> made comments about her hopes for young ladies dressing modestly just after <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/meghan-markle">Meghan Markle</a>, Duchess of Sussex, faced backlash for wearing revealing outfits during a visit to the country.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu, wife of President Bola Tinubu, did not specifically mention Markle as someone who dresses indecently, but rather indicated American celebrities generally while voicing her criticism.
“We have to salvage our children,” she said, per <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/05/27/entertainment/nigerias-first-lady-slams-u-s-celebs-after-meghan-markle-visit/">The New York Post</a>. “We see the way they dress. We are not having the Met Gala. And everyone, the nakedness, is just everywhere and the men are well-clothed.”
“Tell them we don’t accept nakedness in our culture,” she added. “That is not beautiful. It’s not beautiful at all.”
“They’re all beautiful girls, but they should be confident in who they are,” Tinubu said at another point. “We are fashionable, we see what is going on.”
“When mothers stand with you, the house is in order,” she added. “Looking ahead, we must endeavor to become the unifying force in our homes and our communities, to bring about greater prosperity for our nation.”
Tinubu did mention Markle publicizing that she is 43% Nigerian according to DNA test results.
“Why did Meghan come here looking for Africa? That is something we have to take home with [us]. We know who we are. Don’t lose who you are,” the First Lady said in her speech.
Markle, who stepped back from her duties as a senior working royal in January 2020, attracted negative attention earlier this month during her visit to Nigeria due to the revealing outfits she wore. Critics said it was disrespectful for her to dress that way in a country that identifies as mostly Muslim.

Legendary “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/music">American Pie</a>” singer Don McLean had some words of criticism for <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/prince-harry">Prince Harry</a> after the former working royal family member criticized Elvis Presley’s former residence in his 2023 memoir, “Spare.”
“Dark, claustrophobic. I walked around saying, ‘The King lived here, you say? Really?’” the Duke of Sussex wrote after visiting <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/entertainment">Graceland</a> in Memphis.
Harry said he stood “in one tiny room with loud furniture and shag carpet and thought, ‘The King’s interior designer must have been on acid.’”
When the memoir first came out, McLean expressed his outrage on X. “Prince Harry should shut his mouth about Graceland and Elvis. He is a hot house orchid, a show horse who never did a thing,” he <a href="https://x.com/donmclean/status/1616890039509872640">wrote</a> at the time.

McLean also said he’s living comfortably. When asked if his estimated net worth of $40 million was accurate, the musician replied, “That figure is very low. It’s actually more than double that.”

A source with the royal couple’s charity told the outlet that the foundation filed on time but the CA registry never got the check that was sent.
Once the foundation became aware of its “deliquent” status a new check was sent by mail, the source added. The source also said Markle and Harry’s foundation expects the whole matter to be resolved soon which — will should be reflected in records in the next week.
In 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced the foundation with a name inspired by their first child&#8217;s, Prince Archie of Sussex. The announcement came shortly after the couple’s decision to step down from their royal roles before eventually moving to southern California, where they raise their two kids, Archie and Princess Lilibet of Sussex.
A message on the foundation’s <a href="https://archewell.org/about/">website</a> said its ““mission is simple: show up, do good. We meet the moment by showing up, taking action and using our unparalleled spotlight to uplift and unite communities — local and global — through acts of service and compassion.”
In a 2021 summary for the initial registration of the Archewell Foundation in CA it read that the charity is “an impact-driven nonprofit created by The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Archewell Foundation&#8217;s core purpose is to uplift and unite communities — local and global, online and offline — one act of compassion at a time,&#8221; the outlet noted.

Filings published by Companies House read that, “Prince Henry Charles Albert David Duke of Sussex” recorded that his &#8220;New Country/State Usually Resident&#8221; is now the U.S., according to documents obtained by the <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13319663/prince-harry-lists-primary-residence-time.html">Daily Mail</a>.
The Duke of Sussex previously recorded his place of residency as United Kingdom, but that has changed after he and his wife Meghan Markle opted to step down from their royal roles in 2020 and eventually move to Southern California where they raise their two kids, Prince Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet, 2.
The paperwork was filed for the royal’s travel with Travalyst, a sustainable travel organization the duke founded in 2019, the <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/04/17/entertainment/prince-harry-officially-renounces-british-residency-lists-us-as-his-new-country-on-documents/">New York Post</a> noted.
When he founded the organization, his original home was listed as the U.K., the Post noted.

At the group’s annual general meeting on Wednesday, the duke made his first public comments since his sister-in-law <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kate-middleton">Kate Middleton</a> shared the shocking announcement on March 22 that she’d been diagnosed with cancer after undergoing “major abdominal surgery” in January.

In a 2022 interview with the “<a href="https://www.today.com/news/news/prince-harry-tells-hoda-kotb-feels-home-us-rcna25136">Today</a>” show, Prince Harry talked about moving to the U.S. and said, “Home for me, now, for the time being, is in the States.”
“And it really feels that way as well,” he added. “We’ve been welcomed with open arms and have got such a great community up in Santa Barbara.”
Prince Harry and Markle are definitely not favorite royals with the U.K. population, with <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kate-middleton">Middleton</a> recently being named the most popular royal in the United Kingdom, surpassing her husband Prince William.
<a href="https://yougov.co.uk/politics/articles/49089-kate-middleton-now-uks-most-popular-royal">A British YouGov</a> poll — taken between February and April — shows that at the start of February, the Prince of Wales led the rest of the royals as the most favored member of the family, with 77%, followed by the Princess of Wales with 74%.
However, those numbers switched by the start of April after Middleton’s cancer diagnosis announcement. Princess Kate now leads the pack with 76%, followed by her royal husband with 73%, the poll showed. Prince Harry and Markle are mentioned much further down the poll as some of the least favored royals, with the Duke of Sussex getting 31% favorability, beating out his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, with only 26% of the vote.

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kate-middleton">Kate Middleton</a> surpassed husband Prince William and is now the most popular royal in the United Kingdom following her unexpected cancer announcement on March 22.
A new <a href="https://yougov.co.uk/politics/articles/49089-kate-middleton-now-uks-most-popular-royal">British YouGov</a> poll &#8212; taken between February and April &#8212; shows that at the start of February, the Prince of Wales led the rest of the royals as the most favored member of the family, with 77%, followed by the Princess of Wales with 74%.
However, those numbers switched by the start of April after Middleton&#8217;s prerecorded video message to the world announcing she&#8217;s battling cancer discovered after she underwent &#8220;major abdominal surgery&#8221; in January. Princess Kate now leads the pack with 76%, followed by her royal husband with 73%, the poll showed. Princess Anne gets the title of third most favored royal with 71%, beating out King Charles III, who scored 63%, the poll noted.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are mentioned much further down the poll as some of the least favored royals, with the Duke of Sussex getting 31% favorability, beating out his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, with only 26% of the vote. The two did manage to beat out scandal-ridden Prince Andrew, who only got a favorability of 6% from those polled in the nation.
It is unclear from the information provided how many people were polled for the survey.

&#8220;In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London, and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous,&#8221; she added. &#8220;The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present.&#8221;
&#8220;My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy, and I am now in the early stages of that treatment,&#8221; Middleton continued. &#8220;This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family.”
Princess Kate said it has not only taken time for her to recover from major surgery so she can start the chemo, but it&#8217;s also taken them &#8220;time to explain everything&#8221; to their three children, &#8220;George, Charlotte, and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be OK.&#8221;
The message came after weeks of speculation about Princess Kate&#8217;s health after being completely absent from public events following the surgery in January.

The 42-year-old former working <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/royal-family">royal</a>, who is married to Prince Harry, debuted American Riviera Orchard with nine photos which combined to depict the company logo on Instagram. As of Friday morning, the <a href="https://www.instagram.com/americanrivieraorchard/">account</a> had more than 382,000 followers. 
The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/instagram">Instagram</a> launch included a short video posted to stories showing a person arranging flowers, Meghan stirring a pot in a kitchen, and a woman posing in a ballgown. The bio section of the Instagram account says “by Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex&#8221; and &#8220;Established 2024.” The accompanying website doesn&#8217;t have any info besides a place for fans to sign up to be on the waitlist.
Before marrying into the royal family, Meghan ran the lifestyle site The Tig. She shut it down prior to becoming the Duchess of Sussex. 
Meghan and Harry settled in California after leaving the working royal life and settled in an area of the state known as the American Riviera.
The brand’s trademark filing application includes cookbooks, tableware, linens, spreads and preserves including jellies, jams and nut butters, and table place card holders, per <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2024/mar/15/meghan-markle-new-brand-american-riviera-orchard-instagram-post">The Guardian</a>. A second international registration application encompasses stationery, textiles, string bags, yoga gear and pet-related items.
The Duchess of Sussex has worked on several business ideas since leaving life in London. She and Harry signed a five-year deal with Netflix and also inked a Spotify contract which ended in 2023. Meghan’s Archetypes podcast had mixed reviews and wasn&#8217;t renewed for a second season.
Bill Simmons, Spotify’s head of podcast innovation and monetization, slammed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as they parted ways with the platform.

A source told <a href="https://www.the-sun.com/royals/10796833/meghan-markles-podcast-netflix-royal/">The Sun</a> that the brand’s launch is meant to coincide with a new cooking show on Netflix, but rumors have been rampant that Harry and Meghan’s partnership with the streaming platform has also been in jeopardy.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told the outlet that the brand launch could be a means to keep the partnership going.
&#8220;Obviously this is another opportunity for them to point out that there&#8217;s a link to Netflix with Meghan&#8217;s new project,” Fitzwilliams told the outlet. &#8220;Now, that&#8217;s particularly significant. They&#8217;re very nervous about the Netflix contract, which expires next year. It&#8217;s worth $100million and is absolutely pivotal for them because they lost Spotify.”

As the photo drama involving <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kate-middleton">Kate Middleton</a> continues to make headlines, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/prince-william">Prince William</a> attended a royal event solo and mentioned his wife in a speech.
Kate has been taking an extended break from public appearances after having abdominal surgery in January. Followers have been speculating about her whereabouts, with that curiosity reaching a fever pitch when the mom of three posted a photo of herself posing with her three children in honor of Mother&#8217;s Day in the U.K. on March 10. The image was later found to have been edited and was retracted by major news outlets.
Followers have been insinuating that the Palace is lying about Kate&#8217;s status, putting forth theories ranging from the Princess of Wales being secretly in a coma to her having botched plastic surgery.
The Prince of Wales spoke at the Diana Legacy Awards in London on March 14, the 25th anniversary of the award. William’s younger brother <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/royal-family">Prince Harry</a> also attended the event via a virtual video call.
Prince William honored his late mother, Princess Diana, in his speech. “She taught me that everyone has the potential to give something back, that everyone in need deserves a supporting hand in life. Prince Harry, who stepped back from official royal duties in 2020 and has appeared to have a strained relationship with royal family members ever since, also made a speech via video call. “So much of the future depends on you guys, right?&#8221; Harry told the award recipients. &#8220;And you know that. And some of you may feel as though the work that you’re doing is small. Some may feel as though it’s big. My mom would be incredibly proud of all the work that you’ve done.” 
Kensington Palace previously announced that Kate would not be appearing at official events until after Easter.

After all the speculation, Kate released a statement apologizing for the edited photo.
“Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day. C,” Kate shared in a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/kate-middleton-apologizes-for-manipulated-photo-after-ap-retracts-publication">statement</a> shared on X after the photo got hit with a “kill” notice.

Trump made the remarks to a British publication the day after Prince Harry appeared in court over allegations that he may have lied to U.S. immigration officials about his past involvement with drugs, which he admitted to using in his book.
The conservative think tank the Heritage Foundation filed a lawsuit against President Joe Biden&#8217;s Department of Homeland Security to discover if the department followed official rules when they granted Prince Harry his visa.
Trump <a href="https://www.express.co.uk/news/royal/1870541/donald-trump-deport-prince-harry-joe-biden" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> the Daily Express that Biden was “protecting Harry,” which is something that Trump said he would not do.
&#8220;I wouldn’t protect him. He betrayed the Queen,&#8221; Trump said. &#8220;That’s unforgivable. He would be on his own if it was down to me.&#8221;
Trump also said that he believes that the Royal Family has been far &#8220;too gracious&#8221; to Harry considering &#8220;what he has done.&#8221;
Trump&#8217;s remarks also come after Prince Harry recently told ABC News that he was thinking about becoming a U.S. citizen.

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/prince-harry" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Prince Harry</a> lost his latest security court battle, which started after his taxpayer-funded police protection was pulled when he and his wife Meghan Markle opted to step down from their royal roles in 2020.
On Wednesday, the London High Court ruled in favor of the government and found that there had been no &#8220;procedural unfairness&#8221; in how the Duke of Sussex was being treated — despite his attorney&#8217;s argument that Prince Harry still faced security threats, the <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-68421992">BBC</a> reported.
Prince Harry had argued that there was unlawfulness in how he was being treated when his security protection was being made on a case-by-case basis rather than automatically being given at the same level of protection he previously had.
Though parts of the decision were redacted, the court agreed with RAVEC&#8217;s decision calling it &#8220;legally sound&#8221; to treat the royal&#8217;s protection the same as any other high-profile visitor to the U.K., the outlet noted.
RAVEC is a committee made up of the Home Office, Metropolitan Police, and the Royal Household.

The duke&#8217;s legal spokesperson has already come out and said his client will appeal the court&#8217;s decision, <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/02/28/uk/prince-harry-security-court-government-intl/index.html">CNN</a> noted.
&#8220;The Duke is not asking for preferential treatment, but for a fair and lawful application of RAVEC&#8217;s own rules, ensuring that he receives the same consideration as others in accordance with RAVEC&#8217;s own written policy,&#8221; the spokesperson told the outlet.
The Home Office released a statement following the High Court&#8217;s ruling that said, &#8220;The UK government&#8217;s protective security system is rigorous and proportionate.&#8221;
Prince Harry first filed the case in September 2021 after being in the country that year to honor his mother at the unveiling of his mother the late Princess Diana&#8217;s statue. 
While there, his security was reportedly &#8220;compromised due to the absence of police protection&#8221; while leaving a charity event, and his car was chased by photographers, the <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/jan/15/prince-harry-presses-for-police-protection-to-visit-uk-with-family">Guardian</a> noted previously.
&#8220;The goal for Prince Harry has been simple — to ensure the safety of himself and his family while in the U.K. so his children can know his home country,&#8221; a spokesperson for Harry told the Guardian at the time.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex previously lost another court challenge that would&#8217;ve allowed the royals to pay for police protection when their family is in Britain, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/prince-harry-and-meghan-markle-learn-court-decision-about-police-protection">reported</a>.
The London High Court rejected a judicial review filed by the <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2023/05/23/world/europe/prince-harry-security-uk.html">duke</a> against the Home Office for denying his application to pay for such services.
The Home Office argued that it would be improper for the police to be hired as private security guards, The <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2023/05/23/world/europe/prince-harry-security-uk.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New York Times</a> noted.

The 39-year-old <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/royal-family">British royal</a> and his wife, Meghan Markle, are in Canada for the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025&#8217;s One Year to Go festivities, per <a href="https://people.com/prince-harry-talks-king-charles-cancer-diagnosis-first-time-8578864">People</a>. He discussed details about his father during an interview with &#8220;Good Morning America&#8217;s&#8221; Will Reeve, son of the late “Superman” actor Christopher Reeve. 
“I spoke to him. And I jumped on a plane and went to go see him as soon as I could,&#8221; Harry said when Reeve asked how he found out King Charles had cancer.
“Look, I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane, go and see him, and spend any time with him — I’m grateful for that,&#8221; the former senior working royal said during the interview. 
The Duke of Sussex refused to comment further on the precise status of his father’s health, telling Reeve, &#8220;That stays between me and him.&#8221;
Things have been tense between Prince Harry and the rest of his family since January 2020 when he and Meghan Markle announced that they were stepping down from their roles as working royals and moving to the United States. These tensions were further exacerbated after the pair participated a tell-all interview with Oprah the following year and after Harry’s memoir was published in 2023.
But the Duke of Sussex indicated that King Charles’ diagnosis could have a reconciliatory effect.
&#8220;Yeah, I&#8217;m sure,” Harry said when asked about the possibility. “Throughout all these [Invictus Games] families, I see it on a day-to-day basis, the strength of the family unit coming together. I think any illness, any sickness brings families together.”
