The home of Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill caught fire Wednesday while Hill was practicing with his team before the final week of the NFL regular season.

Footage showed smoke pouring out of the 9,300-square-foot mansion as firefighters battled the blaze. A Dolphins spokesman said that Hill left practice after the fire broke out and everyone who was in the home at the time was safe, NBC 6 reported.

“Tyreek has been in communication with his family. Everyone is out of the house and safe at this time. He has also left practice to deal with the situation,” the spokesman said.

NBC 6 also aired footage of four firefighters on the roof of Hill’s home, where they appeared to be cutting a hole in the roof to battle the fire. The star NFL receiver was later seen outside the home hugging his family members. Firefighters successfully put out the fire, and no injuries were reported, according to WSVN.

Hill bought the Southwest Ranches, Florida, mansion in 2022 for $6.9 million, according to property records, NBC 6 reported. The home has seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a home theater, a full-size basketball court, a pool, and two guest houses.

Hill, who started his career with the Kansas City Chiefs — where he won a Super Bowl — was traded to the Dolphins in 2022. He is currently in the race for NFL MVP, seeking to become the first wide receiver in NFL history to win the award. He currently leads the league in receiving yards with 1,717 and sits in second for receiving touchdowns with 12.

The Dolphins, who have already clinched a playoff berth with an 11-5 record, host their division rival Buffalo Bills on Sunday night. A win for Miami on Sunday would seal its spot as the number 2 seed in the AFC playoffs as Buffalo is still seeking to guarantee its spot in the postseason.
