Aaron Rodgers bested fellow future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady Sunday with a little help from technology.

Brady had his Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the brink of a tie with the Green Bay Packers as the final seconds ticked away at Raymond James Stadium. After scoring a touchdown to make it a 14-12 game, Brady and the Bucs got set to go for a game-tying two-point conversion. But Rodgers saw something on the stadium’s Jumbotron and apparently told his coaches what play was coming.

“They showed it on the previous play, too,” Rodgers said after the game, declining to say exactly what he saw. “It was a delay on both plays. But sometimes you see things in the game. Sometimes the Jumbotron shows things they probably shouldn’t show, even at home. I saw something and just passed on the information.”

Rodgers was seen talking to Packers head coach Matt LaFleur on the sideline as the Bucs lined up to go for two. A delay of game penalty pushed them back to the seven-yard line. Then the Packers’ defense had perfect coverage as Brady’s throw for Russell Gage fell to the turf.

According to a Reddit post, fans at the game said Brady’s tablet, with the play diagrammed on the screen, was shown on the Jumbotron. Brady has been known for smashing the devices in fits of sideline rage, and will now likely be even more unkind to them.

Bucs coach Todd Bowles said he will meet with the team’s football operations department to find out what was displayed on the Jumbotron.

After the conversion failed, Tampa tried an onside kick. But the Packers’ Alan Lazard recovered it and Green Bay iced the game.

The loss was the first of the season for the Buccaneers, who have weathered the drama of a new coach in Bowles and Brady’s off-the-field issues believed to stem from his supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen’s desire that he hang up his cleats at age 45. Brady also played the game without his three best wide receivers, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Julio Jones.

Like the Buccaneers, the Packers are now 2-1.
