The hostages were released as part of a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas after the IDF has killed thousands of terrorists in northern Gaza over the past several weeks as it seeks to eliminate the entire terrorist network following their October 7 attack.
As part of the deal, Israel agreed to release a second group of 39 Palestinian women and minors who are convicted criminals in exchange for the release of the innocent Israeli hostages.
