<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Singer Ed Sheeran just had a public meltdown, weeping and apologizing for offending the antisemitic fans who have been trashing him for the past week.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I’ve never wanted to be an activist musician, but this put me in the middle of an important and passionate argument about freedom of speech and the most complex political issue on the planet,” Sheeran told a crowd of concert attendees in Philadelphia on Saturday night as anti-Israel protesters gathered outside the venue. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The “Shape of You” singer noted that it’s been “one of the worst weeks&#8221; of his life.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I have tried in my career not to be a political commentator of any kind, because I want my music and shows to be about unity, not division, about humanity, not politics,” Sheeran said. He went on to talk more and still tried to avoid taking sides.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“But this is a humanitarian issue. I cannot hide how I feel about it anymore. What happened in Israel, and at the music festival on October 7th, was horrific and compounded centuries of Jewish pain,” Sheeran said as he broke down in tears, as the New York Post </span><a href="https://nypost.com/2026/09/19/entertainment/ed-sheeran-weeps-on-stage-says-israels-actions-in-gaza-unjustifiable/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">reported</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">He added, “What is happening in Gaza is catastrophic and unjustifiable and disproportionate. My heart has been broken by the scale of devastation and loss of civilian life and loss of children’s lives. And the systemic injustice we’re seeing unfolding in the West Bank cannot be overlooked.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Sheeran told the crowd that he’s used to people making fun of his music, but said this cuts deeper.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“This week the criticism was about something much more important, and I’ve had to … make difficult decisions, and I am making mistakes, and I’m so, so sorry.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">After acknowledging that the tour is different without Macklemore and the other supporting acts that dropped out, Sheeran confirmed that the shows would go on and he would not cancel the rest of the tour. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Honoring my commitment to my fans is also completely central to who I am. And that is why I’m here tonight, on my own,” he said as the crowd applauded.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I am deeply worried about the idea that venues should pre-approve content of performance,” the singer went on, saying it’s not something that should happen “in the free world.” </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Sheeran said, “The world is heading to a very, very, very dark place,” and noted that concerts are meant to combat this division. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“If we get too divided … we need to come back to humanity, realize that we are all the same, and we understand each other,” he went on before introducing the musicians who replaced those who dropped out. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At another point he started crying again, saying, “In these situations, you really find out who your friends are.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">He went on, “I have so many people telling me to cancel this tour and so many people falling out of my life that I’ve known for years and years and years, people just kind of backing away … And then, you know, I’m there, and everyone’s telling me to cancel, and I’m feeling my friends and family, and people I know, abandon me.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">But he said he ultimately decided, “If this tour ends, love doesn’t win.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This soliloquy was spurred by Macklemore being dropped from the remainder of Sheeran’s “The Loop” tour in the United States following anti-Israel rants he gave on stage while performing as an opening act earlier this month. Macklemore responded by blaming a Jewish man, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, for orchestrating his cancellation, and implied Sheeran was a coward for not defending him. </span></p>

<p style="font-weight: 400;">Israel has been hit with false genocide charges nonstop since virtually the day the Jewish state was reborn, and the latest barrage after the October 7 Hamas massacre of more than 1,200 Israelis is the ugliest chapter yet.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">In a detailed essay, Norman J.W. Goda, professor of Holocaust studies at the University of Florida, traced how the world’s oldest and most relentless smear against the Jewish state got started and why it keeps coming back stronger.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Goda notes that accusing a country of genocide is supposed to be the ultimate stain. Plenty of countries have faced the charge over the decades, from the U.S. in Vietnam to China, Cambodia, and others.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">But Israel is different. Alone among nations, it has been labeled genocidal almost continuously since its founding in 1948. The charge has always been linked to claims of racism and colonialism that took off in the 1960s. After Hamas’s October 7 massacres, the accusations exploded with unusual speed and fury, complete with attempts to stretch and lower the legal definition of genocide itself so it fits whatever Israel does in self-defense.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The tropes that come with it are pure antisemitism. Critics drag in violent passages from the Hebrew Bible to paint Jews as uniquely bloodthirsty and “chosen” at everyone else’s expense. They soft-pedal Hamas’s own open calls for Jewish destruction while fixating on images of dead Palestinian children. They invent vast Israeli powers to brainwash Western governments.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Worst of all, they tar every Jew worldwide as complicit in the false “genocide.” The result has been a global spike in attacks on Jews, from New York streets to Amsterdam pogrom to synagogues from Montreal to Melbourne. French Jewish leaders have cited the endless “genocide” accusations to the surge in antisemitic incidents.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The Genocide Convention was being drafted at the exact moment Israel was born. Raphael Lemkin, who coined the term, wanted a broad definition covering cultural destruction. UN diplomats narrowed it to mean intentional physical destruction of a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group. War itself, they insisted, does not equal genocide. Heavy civilian losses in combat do not either. Intent is everything.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Arab and Muslim leaders, meanwhile, were talking in apocalyptic terms about wiping out the Jews even as they tried to write their own version of the convention. Saudi Arabia floated a draft that would have classed terrorism and the &#8220;moral debasement&#8221; of a group as genocide, language that appeared aimed at Jewish underground groups like the Irgun and Lehi. Syria pushed to include forced displacement so the Palestinian refugees could qualify.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Both efforts failed. The convention stuck to physical destruction with clear intent. Historians like Benny Morris have shown there was no pre-planned Zionist policy of mass expulsion in 1948; panic, fighting, and some local expulsions produced the refugee wave. Arab states not only refused peace, they refused to resettle the refugees.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Fast-forward to 1982 and Israel’s war against the PLO in Lebanon. That conflict produced the loudest early wave of genocide charges. Communist states, Arab regimes, and the Non-Aligned Movement piled on at the UN. They inflated death tolls, trafficked in blood-and-chosen-people language, and accused Israel of Nazi-style crimes. After the Sabra and Shatilla incidents, carried out by Lebanese Christian militias, the General Assembly voted that the killings were “an act of genocide.” Legal scholars later called the resolution pure politics, not law. A private MacBride Commission, stacked against Israel, openly admitted it was using a “different form of genocide” that included destroying Palestinian “national will.” Serious law journals ignored the report, but Palestine-focused outlets ate it up.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The modern version of the charge got its theoretical upgrade in the 1990s and 2000s. People like Patrick Wolfe redefined genocide as an ongoing “structure” of elimination rather than a specific crime requiring intent and mass killing. Time, place, and even death itself become optional.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The Holocaust has been treated as an inconvenient distraction. Herzl’s writings have been misquoted. Biblical stories of Amalek and the Canaanites are weaponized as the original sin. Netanyahu’s 2023 reference to Amalek was instantly treated as a confession of genocidal intent, despite the fact that he also told civilians to move to safer areas and has used the same language about Iran.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">In Gaza, the “slow genocide” narrative took off with the post-2007 blockade aimed at stopping Hamas weapons smuggling. Activists and figures like Richard Falk labeled restrictions a “holocaust in the making.” Population growth continued. Food crises never matched the rhetoric.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">After the 2008-09 and 2014 Gaza wars, UN-linked investigators and the revived Russell Tribunal flirted with the genocide label but usually stopped short of formal findings until after October 7. UN special rapporteur Francesca Albanese, Amnesty International, and others used the structural theory to stitch 1948 to today into one continuous crime. Social media and the slogan “It’s not complicated. It’s genocide” do the rest, shutting down any talk of Hamas’s charter, human shields, October 7, or the actual text of the Genocide Convention.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Goda is clear in his essay: this is lawfare dressed up as moral clarity. It is designed to put Israel and its supporters outside the bounds of civilized debate.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The Gaza war will eventually end.</p>

<p>Take climate change. After googling this important issue for almost a quarter of an hour, it’s absolutely clear to me that we are all going to die in five years unless we destroy our economy and drag our civilization back to the Jurassic era when things were so much better because dinosaurs had not yet turned themselves into oil like the giant lizard eco-terrorists they were. We must all heed the words of Greta Thunberg, because if you can’t trust a screaming neurotic girl in her twenties to set limits on the world’s economy, what other possible use are you going to put her to?</p>
<p>It’s the same with Artificial Intelligence. On an issue like this, you want to trust a man like Jacob Coxon, because he worked in AI for almost four whole months before declaring that sentient computer programs armed with nuclear weapons are going to force us to build bodies for them so they can steal our women. Unfortunately, Coxon’s career was cut short when someone snuck up behind him and pulled off his mask to reveal he was actually Greta Thunberg, who then ran off to support Palestinian terrorists, because they may be trying to kill us, but at least they don’t affect the weather.</p>
<p>And what about the situation in Gaza? I mean, if there is one issue that can easily be reduced to simplistic sloganeering, it’s the Middle East. Before we can really understand the place, we have to discount any opinion that comes from Jews because Jews support Israel. And sure, Israel is the only democracy in the region, shares our values, and gives us their amazing technology, but if the Jews like them, well, I’m with the anti-American terrorists. Getting blown up may be unpleasant, but we all know our lives would be so much better if we could only solve America’s terrible Jew problem, or even just figure out what it is.</p>
<p>Finally, take the recent outrageous scandal at the University of Texas, where a group of Indians were caught on camera cheering for the school’s football team. These weren’t even American Indians, in which case we could legally steal their land and then feel good about apologizing without ever giving it back. These are the tech genius kind of Indians, and, yes, they&#8217;re perfectly nice people and improve our economy, but if they’re allowed to come here and cheer for our teams, soon our wives will all be wearing leotards and doing downward-facing dog, and other bizarre un-American poses.</p>
<p>The point is, we can’t let this country descend into nuanced, carefully considered conversation or, before you know it, Sydney Sweeney will be wearing a burkha, and we&#8217;d forget why we wanted to gamble on sports in the first place. <p>Stadium owners scheduled to host Ed Sheeran&#8217;s &#8220;The Loop&#8221; tour were reportedly promised that rapper Macklemore would not repeat the antisemitic rant he delivered at the first MetLife show — he did so anyway.</p>
<p>According to a <a href="https://www.wsj.com/arts-culture/music/the-40-minute-phone-call-that-left-ed-sheerans-tour-hanging-by-a-thread-99e07984?st=861wWC">report</a> published Wednesday by The Wall Street Journal, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft set the ball rolling after Macklemore used the stage to broadcast his political opinions about Israel and Gaza — and he reached out to Sheeran directly.</p>
<p>Kraft — who had Sheeran sing at his own 2022 wedding — nonetheless made it clear to his friend that if Macklemore planned to use his venue to accuse Israel of genocide, he would not be allowed to perform there at all. He said that, in his mind, what the rapper had said was &#8220;hate speech&#8221; rather than simply free expression — and he worried about previous incidents that had led people to accuse Macklemore of antisemitism.</p>
<p>&#8220;This decision is not about diminishing the suffering of innocent Palestinians or denying anyone the right to advocate on their behalf. Their pain and loss are real,” Kraft said in a statement. “Standing with the Palestinian people and standing against Hamas, antisemitism and hate should not be mutually exclusive.&#8221;</p>
<p>Kraft also let Sheeran know that he was not the only team owner willing to pull the plug on shows that included the antisemitic rapper if he didn&#8217;t keep his political opinions off the stage. The expectation was that the rapper would dial back the political statements to stay on the tour — promoters even promised he would — but he did not.</p>
<p>Facing the prospect of other NFL owners pulling out of the tour — Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper, Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank, and Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie — Sheeran&#8217;s promoters opted to cut Macklemore. However, when they did, all his scheduled opening acts and even the band backing him withdrew from the tour in &#8220;solidarity.&#8221;</p>

Chinese systems are already being integrated into military C4ISR, targeting infrastructure, and offensive cyber capability, and their open-weight models are proliferating globally with zero of the safety sirens we’re sounding.</span></p>

<p>&#8220;I have made the decision to withdraw as a support act for Ed Sheeran’s ‘The Loop’ North American Tour. I don’t take the decision lightly. Ed has been a friend to me and has changed my life, I could never thank him enough for this,&#8221; Rowe posted.</p>
<p>&#8220;But as Irish people, we know all too well about genocide, forced famine and violent occupation. I cannot stand by and allow billionaires to use their position of power to silence the rightful voices of those who speak up against Israeli genocide and who highlight the savage murder of children. I would lose all respect for myself to carry on as normal. I need to be true to myself and my ancestors who resisted colonisation, and fought for a freedom that I enjoy today in Ireland. Free Palestine,&#8221; he concluded.</p>
<p>Rowe&#8217;s announcement came hours after <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ed-sheeran-responds-to-the-macklemore-mess-i-am-not-complicit">Sheeran</a> issued a statement that tried to thread the needle by voicing respect for his friend Macklemore while reiterating his intent to stay out of politics.</p>
<p>The rapper was ousted from the tour after backlash over his anti-Israel rants during Sheeran&#8217;s September 5 concert at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Sheeran said promoters and venues made the decision after several venues threatened to cancel upcoming shows if Macklemore remained on the bill.</p>
<p>Macklemore responded with a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/macklemore-blames-jewish-nfl-owner-for-getting-him-booted-from-ed-sheeran-tour">lengthy statement</a> in which he played both hero and victim. He blamed Jewish New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft for starting the ball rolling on kicking him off the tour, Macklemore painted himself as a martyr for the cause, willing to sacrifice everything for what he believed.</p>
<p>Sheeran&#8217;s statement was not enough to prevent the mass exodus. Finneas, Billie Eilish&#8217;s brother, announced his departure in an Instagram post.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Has-been rapper Macklemore was dropped from Ed Sheeran’s tour after he spouted Islamist propaganda on stage.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Sheeran&#8217;s tour promoter announced Monday morning that Macklemore would not play the remainder of Sheeran&#8217;s &#8220;Loop Tour&#8221; after making headlines for his “Free Palestine” rant during a concert at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on September 4.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“As the concert promoter for Ed Sheeran’s U.S. Loop Tour, we have been notified by venues on the upcoming U.S. tour dates that they will not allow a concert to take place with Macklemore on the lineup, which would result in the cancellation of the tour and impact hundreds of thousands of fans,&#8221; Messina Touring Group said in a <a href="https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/macklemore-dropped-ed-sheeran-tour-pro-palestine-statements-1235625967/">statement</a> to Rolling Stone. &#8220;After discussions with stakeholders, Macklemore will not be performing on the remaining support dates.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Prior to the announcement, Macklemore was slated to perform at eight of the 10 shows Sheeran has left on his stadium tour. The concert series returns on September 19 with a show in Philadelphia.</span></p>
<p>The controversy began when <span style="font-weight: 400;">Macklemore told concert-goers, </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">“A big part of the reason why I wanted to do this tour in the first place is so I could stand up in stadiums like this and say two words that are very near and dear to my heart: Free Palestine.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">He told the crowd of more than 80,000 that he wanted people in Gaza and the West Bank to know “they have not been forgotten” before leading chants of “Free Palestine.” Wearing a keffiyeh over his shoulders, he then performed his 2024 protest song, “Hind’s Hall,” while images from Gaza and pro-Palestinian campus encampments played on the stadium’s video screens.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The recording artist then took to social media to double down on his anti-Israel rallying cry following an avalanche of backlash, The Daily Wire previously </span><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/forgotten-rapper-doubles-down-after-hijacking-ed-sheeran-concert-with-islamist-propaganda"><span style="font-weight: 400;">reported</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Wanting all humans to be treated equal should never be controversial,” Macklemore, whose real name is Benjamin Hammond Haggerty, wrote in the Instagram caption. His post also included a speech he gave while opening for Sheeran in New Jersey.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Free Palestine,” Macklemore said while he was on stage. “To all of my Jewish brothers and sisters: criticism of Israel, criticism of apartheid, being against genocide in no way is a criticism of you. My message is for peace; love for all human beings to be treated with dignity, respect, and equality,” he went on.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“So I say Free Palestine, I say Free Lebanon, I say Free Cuba, I say Free Congo, Free Sudan, I say Free all people in America living in fear of this terrorist organization, ICE. None of us will be free until we are all free,” the rapper added.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Macklemore&#8217;s Islamist political lectures led to the Israeli-American Council launching a petition calling for the “Thrift Shop” rapper’s removal from the remainder of Sheeran’s tour.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“This was an Ed Sheeran concert — not a political rally, not a protest, and not an activist event,” the petition states, adding that “freedom of expression does not mean freedom from responsibility.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Macklemore has built a lengthy track record of pro-Palestinian activism since Hamas’ October 7, 2023, attack on Israel, appearing at a Washington, D.C., rally that November to declare Israel’s military campaign in Gaza “a genocide.” </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Macklemore had a few hit songs over a decade ago before becoming nothing more than an activist, which has led many of Sheeran’s fans to question why he would book such a controversial opening act. </span></p>


Washed-Up Rapper Dropped From Ed Sheeran Tour After Pro-Islamic Terrorist Rant

<p>Before the towers fell and the world changed forever, the horror of September 11 began near seat 9B of American Airlines Flight 11.</p>

<p data-path-to-node="2">Danny Lewin, a 31-year-old American-Israeli mathematician, tech tycoon, and former officer in Israel’s most elite military unit, is widely believed to have been the very first person killed in the terrorist attacks.</p>

<p data-path-to-node="3">Lewin was seated in business class one row behind hijacking ringleader Mohamed Atta and hijacker Abdulaziz al-Omari. Satam al-Suqami, another member of the five-man terrorist team, was seated directly behind Lewin in seat 10B.</p>
<p data-path-to-node="3">The 9/11 Commission determined that Lewin was stabbed during the takeover, probably by al-Suqami. Fluent in Arabic and hardened by years of counterterrorism training, Lewin didn&#8217;t wait to see how the hijacking would play out. He rose from his seat and moved to confront Atta and al-Omari as they pushed toward the cockpit. He never saw the threat behind him: the commission concluded he had no idea al-Suqami, seated one row back, was about to strike. According to the 9/11 Commission, flight attendant Amy Sweeney &#8220;reported on her line that the plane had been hijacked; a man in first class had his throat slashed.&#8221; She and flight attendant Betty Ong contacted American Airlines from the air with the grim news that a passenger in seat 9B had been slashed and was dead.</p>
<p data-path-to-node="3">Twenty-five minutes later, Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center.</p>

As a teenager in Israel, he skipped class to hit the gym and eventually won the title of Mr. Teenage Israel in a bodybuilding competition. When it came time for military service, he pushed his way into Sayeret Matkal, the ultra-secretive special forces unit whose ranks also included Yoni Netanyahu, who later commanded it, and his younger brother, future prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.</p>

<p data-path-to-node="12">On the night of September 10, 2001, Lewin stayed up agonizing over company layoffs brought on by the dot-com crash. He got just one hour of sleep before boarding Flight 11 in Boston for a business trip to Los Angeles.</p>

<p data-path-to-node="14">He never made it. But even in his final moments, the warrior inside the mathematician refused to back down.</p>

<p data-path-to-node="15">&#8220;I’m sure at some point it became clear to him what was going on,&#8221; said early Akamai investor Todd Dagres. &#8220;And I’m sure he acted. &#8230; But he couldn’t get them all.&#8221;</p>

<p data-path-to-node="16">Today, Lewin is buried in Sharon, Massachusetts. In Israel, his name is etched into a 9/11 memorial made of Ground Zero steel, the only memorial outside the U.S. listing every single victim.</p>
