<p>Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) said that &#8220;everything&#8217;s on the table&#8221; when it comes to potentially ousting House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) from his speakership.</p>
<p>Mace made the remarks during a Sunday interview with ABC News&#8217; Jonathan Karl on &#8220;This Week&#8221; when asked about Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and others saying that they are going to try to oust McCarthy as speaker.</p>
<p>&#8220;Could you see yourself under any circumstances supporting a motion to vacate against McCarthy?&#8221; Karl asked.</p>
<p>&#8220;It hasn&#8217;t happened yet and I&#8217;m not going to comment on conjecture here,&#8221; she said. &#8220;Either he’s going to file it or he’s not. If he’s going to do it, put his money where his mouth is. I do hear that some votes might be up for grabs because people were made promises that have not been kept.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;What about your vote, is it up for grabs?&#8221; Karl asked. &#8220;I mean could you support that effort?&#8221;</p>
<p>Mace responded, &#8220;We’ll see how it turns out. But I will tell you, I&#8217;m one of those members who were made certain promises. I&#8217;ve worked on women&#8217;s issues, I&#8217;ve worked on issues, you know, related to gun violence I feel are very important and, you know, it&#8217;s fallen on deaf ears. And if I give a handshake to someone, I expect them to follow through with it.&#8221;</p>
<p>Karl noted that Mace did not rule out supporting the motion to vacate which would result in McCarthy&#8217;s ouster.</p>
<p>&#8220;I might, you know what, everything&#8217;s on the table at this point for me because I want to do the right thing for the American people,&#8221; Mace said. &#8220;I want to do the right thing for women, I&#8217;m trying to show, here’s a path forward for women post Roe for birth control, for women who are rape survivors, et cetera.&#8221;</p>
