Naked Woman Steals Sheriff’s Truck As He’s Trying To Help Her

A Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputy was caught off-guard as he was trying to find clothing for a woman roaming the streets in the nude.

The deputy was responding to a call on January 5th saying that truckers spotted a disoriented woman walking down the side of the highway near a Shell gas station in Gila Bend, Arizona.

Body-cam footage of the incident (below) shows the deputy arriving and asking the woman if she’s ok. She tells him that she’s been raped but says she’s ok as she continues walking past him and his truck. When he tells her to come back toward him, away from the crowd, she asks if he has a jacket for her to wear. The deputy then begins his search for something to cover her with, not realizing that his keys in the ignition were all she needed.

The deputy asked the woman to stand next to his truck as he briefly went into the Shell store to grab a blanket. As he returned, the woman, Lisa Luna, hopped into the driver’s seat and took off.

The deputy attempted to stop Luna by running alongside the truck. He jumped on the running boards, but was knocked off.

At that moment, a passer-by pulled into the gas station and let the deputy commandeer their vehicle and pursue Luna on a 70-mile chase. After hitting speeds over 100 mph, officers used stop sticks to blow out one of the truck’s tires, but it took a minor collision with another vehicle to send the patrol truck into the median, eventually bringing it to a stop.

According to MCSO, Luna exited the truck and was subdued with the use of a non-lethal bean bag gun.

The woman was arrested and taken to a local hospital, as was the deputy for his injuries.

Authorities are investigating the woman’s rape allegation. Deputies say the woman is facing several charges.
