<p>Multiple people were shot on Friday when an apparent dispute unfolded adjacent to the Philadelphia Eagles&#8217; celebratory parade following their decisive victory at Super Bowl LIX.</p>
<p>The shooting comes just one year after a shooting also disrupted the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/kc-shooting-had-no-nexus-to-terrorism-appeared-to-be-dispute-between-several-people-police" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kansas City Chiefs&#8217; parade</a>, killing one and injuring more than a dozen.</p>
<p>Steve Keeley, reporter for the local FOX affiliate, shared details he learned from police in a short thread posted to X.</p>
<p>&#8220;SHOOTING near @Eagles celebration along Ben Franklin Parkway. Happened at 2:36pm after a fight when @PhillyPolice Deputy Commissioner @PPDFrankVanore tells me &#8216;Victim #1, a 27 year old woman &amp; her boyfriend tried to cut through the crowd to the Porto-potties,'&#8221; he said.</p>

<p>&#8220;&#8216;Victim #1’s boyfriend was punched &amp; a fight started between him &amp; a group of males. During the fight someone fired a gun striking Victim #1 in the right calf &amp; we believe Victim #2, a 20 year old female in left upper thigh. No scene could be located,'&#8221; he continued.</p>

<p>&#8220;&#8216;It was outside the footprint of the @eagles event.&#8217; So far no fired casings found, no arrest, &amp; no weapon located,&#8221; Keeley concluded.</p>
<p>All reports thus far indicate that the shooting was unrelated to the Eagles&#8217; event and only happened in the vicinity by happenstance.</p>
<p>Fox News Digital shared a statement directly from the Philadelphia Police Department concerning the shooting:</p>
<blockquote><p>Authorities are investigating a double shooting that occurred on the highway near the 2300 block of Ben Franklin Parkway at approximately 2:35 p.m. Two women sustained gunshot wounds outside the parade footprint. The victims have been identified as a 27-year-old Hispanic female, who suffered a gunshot wound to her left leg, and a 20-year-old Asian female, who was shot in the upper left thigh. Both victims were transported by medics to Presbyterian Hospital, where they are currently listed in stable condition</p>
<p>At this time, no crime scene has been located, and no weapon has been recovered. Police have not made any arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Philadelphia Police Department.</p></blockquote>
