Scarborough echoed Perino&#8217;s sentiments during Wednesday&#8217;s broadcast, referring to Newsom&#8217;s efforts as &#8220;embarrassing.&#8221; The California governor had made a series of posts on X attacking Trump and other Republicans in all capital letters, including calling them made-up nicknames.

Reporters and protesters flanked Vice President JD Vance, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller in Union Station on Thursday, peppering them with questions meant to criticize President Donald Trump&#8217;s efforts to crack down on crime in Washington, D.C. — and Vance quickly made it clear that he was not playing.
The three were touring Union Station to observe the progress that has been made since the Trump administration began its efforts.

Vance, according to the pool report, stopped to thank the National Guardsmen who were present, saying, &#8220;You guys bust your ass all day and we give you hamburgers — not a fair trade but we’re grateful for everything you do.&#8221;
Speaking to the gathered reporters, Vance touted the success of their efforts thus far. &#8220;In the last nine days, we have seen a 35% crime decrease,&#8221; he said.

Once the three men opened the floor for questions, a reporter asked whether they&#8217;d be providing &#8220;evidence.&#8221;

Hegseth and Vance both appeared amused by the question.

Actress and comedian Amanda Seales — who described herself as a &#8220;radical black woman&#8221; and an &#8220;artistic intellectual,&#8221; among other things — debated 20 black conservatives, and while many made good points, one in particular stood out when he challenged her claim that reparations were both &#8220;just and necessary.&#8221;
Seales made the assertion on &#8220;Surrounded,&#8221; a debate series presented by political YouTube channel Jubilee, and the 20 conservatives stepped up one at a time to take the seat opposite her and engage in debate.
The second to sit across from Seales was one of the youngest in the group and he introduces himself as &#8220;Matt Nuclear&#8221; before stating that he felt privileged to be debating such a beautiful black woman.

Seales dramatically lowered her head, raising a hand to her forehead and sighing loudly.

&#8220;You can give everyone here like a $50,000 check – especially the people that are in the streets who are committing violent crimes consistently — a $50,000 check, it’s not going to fix anything. It’s not going to increase the median household income in ten years by 10% or 20%.&#8221;
&#8220;For example, we had the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;We prevented Chinese people from getting citizenship and even entering the country. We discriminated against them and basically put them under apartheid, even here in the United States, yet they have the highest median household income. How is that possible? How come they don’t complain and feel entitled consistently to beg for reparations and beg for this when they are killing each other 90% of the time — which is the rate that black people kill each other, according to the FBI?&#8221;
&#8220;Oh, young Matt,&#8221; Seales did not attempt to hide her exasperation.
&#8220;Yet white people are the oppressors,&#8221; he interjected.
&#8220;I&#8217;m not sure where your education came from, but they lied to you,&#8221; Seales claimed, despite the Straight Arrow News-provided fact-check attached to the published video that largely verified Nuclear&#8217;s statements.
&#8220;Stats don&#8217;t lie, though,&#8221; he protested.
&#8220;Statistics lie all the time,&#8221; Seales insisted, suggesting that the numbers were being manipulated specifically to keep black Americans oppressed. &#8220;So let&#8217;s start there.&#8221;
She went on to claim that there was no comparison to be made because the Chinese immigrants had come to America of their own volition, and then claimed that efforts were still being made to keep black people from &#8220;existing in their true citizenship,&#8221; but never explained what that would look like.
When Nuclear pushed back, she interrupted, &#8220;Are you acting right now? Do you really believe this?&#8221;
When he pointed to decades of FBI data that showed black people were more likely to be killed by other black people than by white people, she laughed at him.
She treated the others who debated her throughout the in similar fashion, repeatedly interrupting and talking over them while demanding that they show her respect and allow her to finish her every point. At one point, she even demanded that Nuclear talk to her like he would talk to his mother.
According to the comments on YouTube, many felt that Seales had been the one not showing respect for the others.
&#8220;She insulted almost every one of them and demanded respect for shouting them down each time,&#8221; one wrote.
Another added, &#8220;&#8216;Are you shaking your head no at me?&#8217; Says the one who literally rolled her eyes at everything they said.&#8221;
&#8220;The disrespect of this woman is insufferable. Demanding respect while not giving any, rolling her eyes constantly, cutting people off, insulting almost every single one of them and never stating any facts. Every time she said something the SAN fact check proved her wrong. I pray that she doesn&#8217;t get into ANY politics again,&#8221; another said.

‘It’s Not Going To Fix Anything’: Black Conservative Debates ‘Artistic Intellectual’ Over Reparations

Former FBI Director James Comey provoked a wave of mockery after revealing in a recent video that he listens to pop star Taylor Swift while &#8220;cutting the grass&#8221; and, occasionally, to cope with the fact that President Donald Trump still exists.
In a video shared via Substack, Comey first announced that he&#8217;d just recovered from a bout of COVID — &#8220;quite a flashback&#8221; — and complained about the fact that Trump is president before pivoting to talk about a &#8220;truly inspirational public figure.&#8221;
That public figure, of course, was Swift — and Comey, in addition to keeping the pop star&#8217;s music cued up on his headphones, admitted to being part of a family text group solely for Swifties.

Comey, who recently caught a wave of backlash for a post that was interpreted by many as wishing death on President Trump, said that Swift inspired him to be less &#8220;like Trump and his followers&#8221; — by which he meant less like the &#8220;mean jerks&#8221; out there — and said that even satirical posts that he found &#8220;funny&#8221; could also be a bit troubling.
&#8220;But I gotta be honest, it also leaves me with a strange feeling at times, because I don&#8217;t want us to become like Trump and his followers. There are far more decent, honest, kind people in America than there are mean jerks. And don&#8217;t get me wrong, we have our jerks, millions of them.&#8221;

&#8220;Pod Save America&#8221; cohost Jon Favreau claimed that Newsom was only doing it to mock President Donald Trump.

Probably why all the people in my life who aren&#8217;t political junkies keep reaching out to say they don&#8217;t know much about Newsom but think the tweets are hilarious. Humor and mockery can be quite effective!&#8221; he claimed.
Perino responded by saying that if Newsom&#8217;s play worked and he became the 2028 Democratic nominee, she&#8217;d buy Favreau dinner.

Dana Perino Warns Gavin Newsom To Avoid Cringey X Presence, And He Doubles Down Instead

Governor Gavin Newsom&#8217;s (D-CA) press office attempted to bait President Donald Trump&#8217;s Department of Homeland Security over a case involving an illegal immigrant who is accused of killing three American citizens while making an illegal u-turn on a Florida highway.
<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/illegal-given-commercial-drivers-license-by-californias-newsom-charged-in-fatal-semi-truck-crash">Harjinder Singh</a>, who entered the United States illegally in 2018, was granted a commercial driver&#8217;s license in California. He made the illegal turn from the outside lane at a spot marked &#8220;Official Use Only,&#8221; and his truck crushed a minivan that had been driving in the inside lane. Singh has since been arrested for vehicular homicide and was slapped with an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer.
As reports circulated about his illegal entry into the U.S. — and the fact that he&#8217;d obtained a driver&#8217;s license in California — DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin pointed to the sanctuary policies in the state of California under Newsom, arguing that those three people would still be alive otherwise.

The graphic noted that Singh had entered the United States illegally in 2018, during President Trump&#8217;s first term, one year before Newsom took office in California. It also noted that, in the state of California, a driver&#8217;s permit or license could not be issued to someone who did not have legal status.

McLaughlin fired right back, however, noting that Singh had applied for a work authorization while Trump was president the first time — and that it had been denied. It was not until President Joe Biden was in office that he was able to obtain the legal status necessary to get his license in the state of California.
