Michelle Obama may be the First Lady, but she sure as hell ain’t the First Mama.
In an interview with Yahoo, Obama admitted that she needed her pediatrician to inform her that the food she was feeding her children was not exactly, shall we say, ideal.
Obama recalled, “Back when I was a busy working mom living in Chicago, Barack and I didn’t always make the best nutrition choices. We were a little too dependent on our microwave and the local takeout places. It got to the point where our pediatrician pulled me aside and urged me to make some changes for the sake of our daughters’ health.”
Of course, that comment was preceded by her whining about how hard her life had been as a working woman: “I remember back when our older daughter was born, and I was exhausted, struggling with all those late-night feedings and diaper changes while trying to manage my own career and support Barack’s career. Back then, I was barely able to take a shower every day, let alone get to the gym.”
All you working mothers out there who work insane hours to support your children, remember how tough it was that poor Michelle couldn’t go to the gym.

Obama said modestly, “I certainly don’t consider myself a fitness icon—that’s way too much pressure!”
It’s a hard life.
But the ever-protective First Lady has come a long way since she couldn’t figure out how to properly feed her children; now she lets her teenage daughter hang out with child-abuser Lena Dunham. That makes sense, if Malia has any similarity to her narcissistic father; Dunham tweeted Malia a love-note on the First Daughter’s birthday: “Happy Birthday Malia Obama! Let’s all hope we’re as elegant as you when we grow up.”
Of course, we are speaking of the same woman who was asked, “If you had the opportunity to have a different occupation, what would it be?” and answered, “I would be Beyoncé.” Perhaps Michelle Obama’s dreams for her daughter include dignified moments like this, or this.
