Megyn Kelly blasted people on the Left she said are “endangering” justices by protesting at their homes over the leaked early draft from a Supreme Court majority opinion indicating the Roe v. Wade decision could likely be overturned.
During the Sirius XM “The Megyn Kelly Show” podcast Monday, the host was speaking with her guest from RealClearPolitics, Tom Bevan. They discussed being lectured by Democrats over the last few years about protecting “our norms” and said protesting at conservative justices’ homes is “not normal” and “dangerous.”
“Of course we have been lectured to by this group for a long time about norms,” Kelly explained. “How much we need our norms. And how much of a norm buster [former President] Donald Trump was and how dangerous it was.”
“This is not normal,” she added. “This is not normal to go the home of a supreme [court justice] … to post their home address online. To get groups over there. To start bombing pro-life facilities with Molotov cocktails before we even have a ruling. … This is absurd. Not normal.”
“We don’t want this to become a norm,” Kelly continued. “We don’t want the right to then respond in kind when [Elena] Kagan and [Sonia] Sotomayor and our incoming justice Ketanji Brown Jackson come together with two other court members to issue a 4 to 5 decision the other way. This is dangerous.”
The former Fox News host explained how doing the same to the justices on the left would “not be allowed,” claiming there would be “very different messaging from the White House” if that were to occur.
“But we don’t want that to become the norm,” the podcast host exclaimed, as she shared how she reveres all nine justices. “So, screw these people for getting out there and endangering them and their children before we even know what the opinion is and for taking the protests beyond the steps of the Supreme Court, where it’s totally fair game.”
“It’s not fair game in front of their homes,” she added. “It has a different effect, especially with those who have young children. And they’re breaking a norm that they’re going to wish they didn’t break.”
