<p><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/exclusive-interview-marjorie-taylor-greene-says-she-hasnt-changed-the-party-has" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene</a> complained on Twitter of being harassed at a restaurant Monday night by a pair of fellow diners who &#8220;turned into demons,&#8221; in the latest example of conservatives being hounded in public by angry leftists.</p>
<p>The Georgia Republican did not offer details about the confrontation, other than that her tormenters were a woman and her adult son who apparently didn&#8217;t like her politics. Greene said the duo screamed at her inside the eatery while she talked with members of her staff.</p>
<p>&#8220;They had no respect for the restaurant or the staff or the other people dining or people like me who simply have different political views,&#8221; Greene wrote. &#8220;They are self righteous, insane, and completely out of control. I was sitting at my table, working with my staff, and never even noticed these people until they turned into demons.&#8221;</p>
<p>Although it was not known if the incident occurred in Washington, Greene&#8217;s home district in Georgia, or some other location, it brought to mind several similar confrontations involving Republicans.</p>
<p>In June of 2018, then-White House Press Secretary Sara Huckabee Sanders was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/listen-sarah-sanders-family-harassed-much-worse-amanda-prestigiacomo" target="_blank" rel="noopener">kicked out of a Virginia restaurant</a> because the owner didn&#8217;t like her politics. The same year, then-<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/sarah-huckabee-sanders-will-receive-secret-service-emily-zanotti" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was harassed</a> while she ate at a Washington restaurant. In July of last year, Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/protesters-with-abortion-beef-force-kavanaugh-out-back-door-of-swanky-steakhouse" target="_blank" rel="noopener">harassed in a Washington steakhouse</a> by an angry liberal mob.</p>
<p>&#8220;People used to respect others even if they had different views,&#8221; Greene wrote. &#8220;But not anymore. Our country is gone.&#8221;</p>
<p>Last week, Greene suggested it is time for America to have a &#8220;national divorce,&#8221; given the deep divide between conservatives and liberals.</p>
<p>&#8220;We need to separate by red states and blue states and shrink the federal government. Everyone I talk to says this,” Greene wrote in a President&#8217;s Day tweet. “From the sick and disgusting woke culture issues shoved down our throats to the Democrat&#8217;s traitorous America Last policies, we are done.”</p>
<p>The 48-year-old lawmaker later clarified that a “national divorce” would not mean “civil war.”</p>
