LISTEN: Levin Goes After Tillerson’s Israel Position: ‘Dangerous Fool; Idiot’

On Wednesday, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson connected Israel’s conflict with Arabs and Muslims to regional dysfunction across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Tillerson seemingly pushed the narrative of Israel’s conflict with “Palestinians” as a core driver of broader dysfunction across the MENA region during a press gaggle:

“[President Donald Trump] has made the point several times, We solve the Israeli-Palestinian peace dilemma, we starting solving a lot of the peace throughout the Middle East region.”

Tillerson also described “Palestine” as a contemporary location, adding that President Donald Trump is placing “a lot of pressure” on Israel and “Palestinians” to “get to the table” for negotiations.

Tillerson offered no comments on broader cultural, religious, and political pathologies among Muslims and Arabs as causes of dysfunction and conflict across the MENA region.

“This Secretary of State Tillerson, is he an idiot?” asked Levin. “Does he really believe this Obama position? This European position?”
