<p>Lindsay Lohan reacted to the news that her return to acting in her new film &#8220;Falling for Christmas&#8221; hit number one on Netflix, as she thanked fans for all their support over the years.</p>
<p>The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/lindsay-lohan" target="_blank" rel="noopener">36-year-old</a> actress had only kind words on Thursday for her fans in a post she shared on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/ClDbgGXhKX_/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Instagram</a> talking about how &#8220;grateful&#8221; she was for the positive response to her Christmas movie.</p>
<p>&#8220;I can&#8217;t even begin to tell everyone how grateful I am for this incredible moment!&#8221; Lohan wrote. &#8220;To all of the fans and longtime believers in me, I appreciate you.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;My heart is filled with so much love and gratitude thank you [Netflix] for letting me bring this story to life with such a wonderful cast, director, producers and crew!&#8221; she added.</p>
<p>Her post included a graphic showing the stars of the show with a message that read, &#8220;&#8216;Falling for Christmas&#8217; number one movie in the world on Netflix.&#8221;</p>

<p>The movie marks Lohan&#8217;s return to the romantic comedy genre after nearly a decade. In the film, she plays a hotel heiress who, through a series of obstacles, ends up with amnesia. The man who owns the quant lodge in town is played by &#8220;Glee&#8221; actor Chord Overstreet — and together, Overstreet and his daughter in the movie help her recover in more ways than one.</p>
<p>The actress is probably best known for several of her memorable roles in such films as &#8220;Mean Girls&#8221; in 2004, &#8220;Freaky Friday&#8221; in 2003, and the remake of the Disney classic &#8220;The Parent Trap&#8221; in 1998.</p>
<p>In a recent interview, Lohan talked about being a little envious of young stars these days in the advent of social media and being able to control one&#8217;s &#8220;own narrative,&#8221; as <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/lindsay-lohan-throws-support-behind-power-of-social-media-following-struggles-with-paparazzi" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Daily Wire</a> previously reported.</p>
<p>&#8220;No, it is nice,&#8221; the star shared. &#8220;Because now I feel like … when I first started out in the business, none of us had a say in how to control our own narrative.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;There were paparazzi pictures, and then people ran with it,&#8221; she added. &#8220;So I think it&#8217;s really good that in this day and age, people can say who they are and who they want to be. And I admire and appreciate that.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m a little jealous because I didn&#8217;t have that,&#8221; Lohan continued. &#8220;But I think it moves really fast and I just try to keep up as best I can. And I check everything before I post it. I’ll send it to people. Because you have to.&#8221;</p>
