Whoopi Goldberg blew up at Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) during a heated debate over abortion, scolding her for pointing out that there were still states where abortions were legal through all nine months of pregnancy.

Mace fired right back during Monday’s broadcast of the ABC midday talk show, noting that even when pressed, there were a number of prominent elected Democrats — including President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris — who have repeatedly refused to say they would support any limits on abortion for any reason.

The conversation began with Goldberg suggesting that placing any limits on abortion amounted to the government dictating how the American people could and could not raise their families.

“Shouldn’t we all be able to say — listen, because you don’t … no, no law says you have to have an abortion,” Goldberg said. “No law — there’s no law on the books that says you have to have an abortion. Isn’t that my choice, if my doctor and I feel that’s the best way for me?”

Goldberg went on to claim that abortion restrictions were an effort to force Christian beliefs on others, but Mace pushed back.

“At some point, that baby, people will agree with me, that the baby deserves the right to life,” the South Carolina Congresswoman said, arguing that if people wanted the government to fund abortions, the government had standing to regulate and limit the procedure. “You can’t have it both ways.”

Goldberg didn’t really blow up until Mace brought up the fact that, in post-Roe America, there were states that had no limits on abortions through all nine months of pregnancy.

After Mace listed several no-restriction states, Goldberg scolded her and told her to stop.

“Let’s stop that! No one — no one — no one! No doctor, no hospital, no one will take a baby at nine months for an abortion!” she shouted.

Mace replied with a list of elected Democrats — including Biden, Harris, and Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA) — who had repeatedly refused to say there was any case in which they’d impose limits on abortion.

Mace went on to add that in Democrat-controlled states — such as Illinois — abortion access was being protected while alleged rapists were being released because of recent “bail reform” initiatives.

Goldberg wrapped up the argument by claiming that she was “pro-life,” saying, “I want everybody to have a safe life. I want them to be safe and do all the things that they should be able to do.”
