<p>NBA star <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/lebron-james" target="_blank" rel="noopener">LeBron James</a> released a statement supporting Israel after the country experienced one of the deadliest terror attacks in modern history over the weekend.</p>
<p>James&#8217; statement comes after Palestinian terrorists with Hamas fired thousands of rockets into Israel on Saturday and simultaneously launched a ground invasion in which thousands of terrorists invaded the country and hunted down innocent civilians. More than 1,300 Israelis were murdered and thousands more were injured.</p>
<p>&#8220;The devastation in Israel is tragic and unacceptable,&#8221; James said in a statement. &#8220;The murder and violence against innocent people by Hamas is terrorism.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;The SpringHill Company family sends our deepest condolences to Israel and the Jewish community,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;We pray for peace in the region and reiterate our continued commitment to fight hate in all its forms.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;We all must work to ensure this tragedy does not spread even more hate, racism, and antisemitism,&#8221; he added.</p>

<p>James&#8217; statement comes as more than 700 celebrities and entertainment executives <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/general-news/celebrities-entertainment-executives-sign-open-letter-support-israel-1235617300/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">signed</a> onto a letter this week expressing support for Israel.</p>

<p>The letter said in-part:</p>

They kidnapped and murdered infants and the elderly. They raped women and mutilated their bodies. They paraded their bodies through the streets and on social media, and cowardly attacked the Supernova Music Festival – bringing death and destruction to an event celebrating friendship and love.</em></p>
<p class="paragraph larva // lrv-u-margin-lr-auto lrv-a-font-body-m "><em>This is terrorism. This is evil. There is no justification or rationalization for Hamas’ actions. These are barbaric acts of terrorism that must be called out by everyone. They are a terrorist organization whose leaders call for the murder of Jews everywhere.</em></p>
<p class="paragraph larva // lrv-u-margin-lr-auto lrv-a-font-body-m "><em>CCFP calls on our friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry to speak out forcefully against Hamas and do whatever is in their power to urge the terrorist organization to return the innocent hostages to their families.</em></p>
