Knowles: I Used To Share Tomi Lahren’s View On Abortion, Until I Was Asked This Question

   DailyWire.com

In today’s episode of “The Michael Knowles Show,” Michael addressed Tomi Lahren’s defense of abortion and recalled the moment he began to see the issue in a completely different.

“I wasn’t always pro-life…. I didn’t always realize how awful abortion is,” said Knowles. “In fact, I remember vividly having a conversation while I was in college, I was doing a summer fellowship with some bioethicists. And I had a conversation with some female bioethicist at lunch. I said, ‘Oh I think abortion, I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. I don’t know why people are worried about it.’ And she said, ‘Why’s that Michael?’ I repeated all of the Freakonomics arguments, oh which are largely bogus anyways: ‘It lowers crime, blah, blah blah.’ And she said, ‘Oh ok, which of those arguments doesn’t also apply to killing ethnic minorities in the inner cities? Young male ethnic minorities? They commit crime. They’re disproportionately on welfare. Shouldn’t we just kill them?'”

“Oh yikes. Ok,” Knowles said he responded. “So I cracked the spine of a book and thought about this for more than a few seconds, and I realized the moral gravity of it.”

Video and transcript below:

She just doesn’t know anything. She just, she’s just saying words that we recognize so we’re mistaking that for an opinion, but it isn’t. It’s just words mashed together conveying nothing.

I wasn’t always pro-life… I didn’t always realize how awful abortion is. In fact, I remember vividly having a conversation while I was in college, I was doing a summer fellowship with some bioethicist.

And I had a conversation with some female bioethicist at lunch.

I said, “Oh I think abortion, I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. I don’t know why people are worried about it.”

And she said, “Why’s that Michael?”

I repeated all of the Freakonomics arguments, oh which are largely bogus anyways: “It lowers crime, blah, blah blah.” And she said “Oh ok, which of those arguments doesn’t also apply to kill ethnic minorities in the inner cities? Young male ethnic minorities? They commit crime. They’re disproportionately on welfare. Shouldn’t we just kill them?”

Oh yikes. Ok.

So I cracked the spine of a book and thought about this for more than a few seconds, and I realized the moral gravity of it.
