<p>Following Dr. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/anthony-fauci">Anthony Fauci</a> announcing his retirement Monday as the president&#8217;s top medical adviser and the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in December, Daily Wire host Michael Knowles had a few thoughts to share about the so-called expert on &#8220;science.&#8221;</p>
<p>The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director said that over the past 38 years that he has spent as the director of the agency, he has advised seven U.S. presidents beginning with President Ronald Reagan, on &#8220;newly emerging and re-emerging infectious disease threats, including HIV/AIDS, West Nile virus, the anthrax attacks, pandemic influenza, various bird influenza threats, Ebola and Zika, among others, and, of course, most recently the COVID-19 pandemic.&#8221;</p>
<p>However, Knowles, who has notoriously been an outspoken critic of Fauci, pointed out during his <a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/ep-1072-crackdown-on-election-fraudsters-2" target="_blank" rel="noopener">show</a> Monday that in the 40 years the infection disease czar has spent in office advising U.S. presidents while pocketing the most money out of any other federal employee, his record is &#8220;one of absolute failure.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Deception, intentional lies, incompetence, screw-ups going all the way back to AIDS — all the way up through the 90s — especially right after the war on terror,&#8221; Knowles said.</p>
<p>The Daily Wire host further noted that Fauci &#8220;blew a bunch of money&#8221; on Anthrax and failed to produce a vaccine for the bacterial disease.</p>
<p>The Federalist reports the Fauci and NIAID poured about $1.8 billion  into defense from bio-terrorist attacks in the early aughts, which $117 million was extracted to fund a vaccine that never came to pass.</p>
<p>And to top it all off, before getting to the latest worldwide bio-terror effort, Knowles blasted the national health infectious disease advisor for &#8220;a ton of misadventures in Africa.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;We haven&#8217;t even gotten to COVID yet,&#8221; Knowles said, adding a list of &#8220;lies&#8221; about where Fauci was during the origins, funding, and the gain of function of COVID-19.</p>
<p>&#8220;We find out he funded gain of function research at the Wuhan Institute,&#8221; he said.</p>
<p>Knowles said that Fauci has &#8220;obviously contradicted himself as the chief central guidance of COVID over the past two years.&#8221;</p>
<p>In Knowles&#8217;s mini-documentary series &#8220;Fauci Unmasked,&#8221; the Daily Wire host has slammed the health advisor for flip-flopping on mask-wearing to the American public and contributed to a series of unconstitutional threats against citizens who refused to comply with the COVID-19 vaccine mandates from state and federal officials, which he claimed would prevent people from contracting the virus and further transmitting the disease.</p>
<p>&#8220;It turns out neither of those things were true either,&#8221; Knowles said.</p>
<p>In his retirement announcement, Fauci said he would use what he has learned from his experience to &#8220;advance science and public health and to inspire and mentor the next generation of scientific leaders as they help prepare the world to face future infectious disease threats.&#8221;</p>
