Cartoon network’s “We Baby Bears” kids cartoon plans to introduce school aged kids to gender ideology in an upcoming episode that includes non-binary characters who go by “they/them” pronouns.
The cartoon — that is described for ages 6 and up — will air “Polly’s New Crew” during Pride Month with its “LGBTQ inclusive episode,” GLAAD reported.
The piece noted that some friends arrive to help reunite with their old pal Polly the Pirate Captain who is under the effect of a pirate curse and needs their help.
“I am the great Winnifred, she/her. Actor extraordinaire!” one character said.
“Our crew also has a new addition,” one bear said. “Meet Box! They use they/them pronouns and they make an exceptionally good quiche!” Polly the captain then replied, “I use they/them pronouns as well!”
News of the episode drew a backlash on social media for introducing kids to the this language.

It is not the first time the children’s cartoon has included an episode dealing with LGBTQ language. Last month, it released an episode featuring trans-identifying male activist Dominique Jackson.
The network also defended it by sharing in a statement, “During the production of ‘We Baby Bears,’ a few crew members came out with they/them pronouns, and we felt that it was important to reflect that in the show.”
“Our show team values representation because it’s something everybody on the show deeply cares about, and that’s why we aim to cast LGBTQ talent like Alok Vaid-Menon, Harvey Guillén, and Dominique Jackson,” the statement added.
The gender ideology push and targeting of kids seems to be coming from everywhere these days including company’s families used to feel they could trust their kids to watch like Nickelodeon.
In 2021, the network released a YouTube video on its “Blue’s Clues & You” channel titled, “The Blue’s Clues Pride Parade Sing-Along Ft. Nina West.” The video featured transgender characters like cartoon beavers with mastectomy scars.
