On a C-Span broadcast in which she appeared with five other people to discuss Hurricane Milton, Vice President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kamala-harris" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kamala Harris</a> covered her mouth while Ken Graham, the Director of the National Weather Service, was speaking, and muttered to the person speaking to her, “It’s a live broadcast.”
Harris was joined by Graham, Michael Brennan, Director of the National Hurricane Center, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell, and Admiral Linda Fagan of the Coast Guard. When Graham finished, Harris offered, “Hey, Ken, I have a question for you. You mentioned ‘words matter,&#8217; and I know there is a lot of media following this briefing. So there have been, um &#8230; we’ve gone from a Cat 5 to a Cat 4 and the language a lot of folks have been using is ‘downgrade,’ but it sounds like you’re cautioning us that that may communicate a sense that the danger is lessened when, in fact, it’s not. Can you talk a little bit about that, ‘cause I know a lot of folks are watching right now and would love to have your feedback on how we should be talking about this.”

On Thursday, Rep. James Comer (R-KY), the Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, sent a <a href="https://oversight.house.gov/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/05-22-2025-Letter-to-Dr.-OConnor.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">letter</a> to former White House physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor, alerting him that he is being investigated for his medical assessments of former President Joe Biden, who has been diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer that has spread to his bones.
“The Committee on Oversight and Government Reform is investigating the accuracy, transparency, and credibility of your medical assessments of former President Joe Biden given his recent acknowledgment of an advanced physical condition and a publicly apparent cognitive decline,” Comer wrote, noting that the Committee had first written to O’Connor on July 7, 2024, 10 days after the Trump-Biden debate in which Biden had shown clear signs of a mental decline.
“Biden White House officials stalled all attempts by the Committee to obtain your testimony,” Comer recalled. “In light of mounting evidence that confirms the Committee’s initial observation that President Biden was significantly unwell while serving in office, the Committee seeks information to ensure accurate information was provided to the American people and your health reports were not subject to any improper influence.”
Daily Wire White House Correspondent Mary Margaret Olohan asked White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on Monday if the White House would further scrutinize O&#8217;Connor.

In early July 2024, White House spokesman Andrew Bates said, “Dr. O’Connor is a world class medical professional” whose “unique expertise is sought across the medical community, in which he is respected for his candor, attention to detail, and work ethic,” The Washington Post <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/07/06/kevin-oconnor-biden-doctor-cognitive-tests-debate/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
O’Connor, an osteopathic physician who <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/07/06/kevin-oconnor-biden-doctor-cognitive-tests-debate/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">became</a> Biden’s doctor in 2009, said in February 2024 that Biden was “a healthy, active, robust 81-year-old male, who remains fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency.”
The committee is also investigating whether O&#8217;Connor&#8217;s “financial relationship with the Biden family affected [his] assessment” of the former president&#8217;s fitness to serve. 
“Given your connections with the Biden family, the Committee seeks to understand if you contributed to an effort to hide former President Biden’s fitness to serve from the American people,” Comer warned, mentioning Special Counsel Robert Hur’s interview with Biden that had depicted Biden as deteriorating mentally.
Looking forward, Comer stated, “The Committee seeks information about your assessment of and relationship with former President Biden to explore whether the time has come for Congress to revisit potential legislation to address the oversight of presidents’ fitness to serve pursuant to its authority under Section 4 of the Twenty-Fifth <a href="https://constitutioncenter.org/the-constitution/amendments/amendment-xxv">Amendment</a>.”
In August 2020, Biden, then 77, was asked whether he had taken a cognitive test. “Why the hell would I take a test?” he answered testily.
“We request you make yourself available for a transcribed interview on June 25, 2025,” Comer concluded.

House GOP Investigating Biden’s Doc, Who Said He Was ‘Fit’ To ‘Execute The Duties Of The Presidency’

Harvard University filed a lawsuit on Friday in the United States District Court to challenge the Trump administration’s revocation of Harvard’s capacity to enroll students from abroad.
The lawsuit from Harvard <a href="https://www.harvard.edu/research-funding/wp-content/uploads/sites/16/2025/05/Harvard-Visa-Complaint.pdf">claimed</a> Noem’s revocation was a “blatant violation of the First Amendment, the Due Process Clause, and the Administrative Procedure Act. It is the latest act by the government in clear retaliation for Harvard exercising its First Amendment rights to reject the government’s demands to control Harvard’s governance, curriculum, and the ‘ideology’ of its faculty and students.”
On Thursday, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem alerted the public of the revocation, writing on X:

Clay Travis Challenges WNBA’s Angel Reese To One-On-One, Offers 100K To Winner

Early Thursday morning, a private jet crashed in U.S. Navy-owned housing in San Diego, killing three members of the music agency Sound Talent Group, including its founder.
Sound Talent Group has represented Hanson, Vanessa Carlton, Sum 41, Pierce the Veil, I Prevail, Set it Off, Story of the Year, Silverstein, Parkway Drive, and Eve 6. “Since launching in 2018, STG has grown to more than three dozen employees with offices in New York City, Nashville, and San Diego,” the company’s <a href="https://soundtalentgroup.com/about" target="_blank" rel="noopener">website</a> states.
Sound Talent Group co-founder Dave Shapiro, the owner of the plane, was listed as one of the fatalities; the crash caused a fire to race down the street. “San Diego police officer Anthony Carrasco said five people from a single family were taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation after evacuating to a nearby school,” AP <a href="https://apnews.com/article/plane-crash-san-diego-5e465454fc0282a81adafc1bfdc142a1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. “At least 100 residents were evacuated.”
City Councilmember Raul Campillo said local residents spoke of “military families helping military families out of their homes, jumping out of windows and avoiding fire.”
“I can’t quite put words to describe what the scene looks like, but with the jet fuel going down the street, and everything on fire all at once, it was pretty horrific to see,” San Diego Police Chief Scott Wahl stated.
“Audio recorded by <a href="http://www.liveatc.net/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-gtm-enhancement-style="LinkEnhancementA">www.liveATC.net</a> includes a brief transmission from the pilot calling out that he was on final approach to the Montgomery-Gibbs airport and was about 3 miles out at 3:45 a.m.,” AP noted, adding that reports said it was very foggy at the time of the crash.
Aviation attorney Barry Newman pointed out that early in the morning and in foggy weather, the plane was probably using an instrument flight rules plan, but once the aircraft descends to 673 feet above ground, the pilot also had to rely on his own visual perception. “If a pilot descends to that level and he can’t see the runway, he has to call for a missed approach or divert to another airport,” he said.

3 Dead In San Diego Plane Crash That Killed Music Talent Agency Founder, Employees

The Minnesota Supreme Court decided that women completely exposing their breasts in public is legally acceptable.
The <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/news/minnesota-supreme-court-women-bare-breasts-lewd-ruling/">ruling</a> in the case State of Minnesota v. Plancarte revolved around Eloisa Rubi Plancarte, who had exposed herself in a police officer’s presence by revealing her bare breasts. The state Supreme Court overturned a Court of Appeals decision against Plancarte, who had been arrested and charged with a misdemeanor. Plancarte argued to the court that her breasts were not “private parts” and her actions were not “lewd.” A district court found her actions “legally obscene.”
The state Supreme Court opinion recalled the facts of the case, writing:

The facts in this case are short and undisputed: On July 28, 2021, the Rochester Police Department received a report that a woman was walking around a gas station parking lot with her breasts exposed. An officer responded to the call and saw Plancarte in the parking lot with her breasts exposed. The officer recognized Plancarte from two encounters earlier that week. During those encounters, the officer saw Plancarte exposing her underwear on one occasion, and her breasts and her underwear on another occasion. The officer stopped Plancarte and asked her why she kept exposing herself. Plancarte replied, “I think Catholic girls do it all the time.” Plancarte then worried about how she would get home and stated, “I dance at the biker club. I’m a stripper.” The officer said, “Well, you can’t strip in the middle of public.” Plancarte responded, “Yeah, but they should account for me at the club, shouldn’t they?”

The Minnesota Supreme Court stated:

Justice Karl Procaccini stated:

If the State fails to present evidence sufficient to prove that the exposure was willful, lewd, and in a public place or a place where others are present, then the defendant’s conviction under the statute must be reversed. &#8230; Based on our independent review, we are persuaded that “lewdly” is ambiguous in the context of the indecent exposure statute. At least four common usages of “lewdly” are reasonable under the statute. Several dictionaries define “lewd” (the root of “lewdly”) to mean “obscene,” “indecent,” and “lustful,” as well as “[p]reoccupied with sex and sexual desire.” &#8230; Although “lewdly” in the indecent exposure statute has a broader meaning than “obscene,” defining “lewdly” as “indecently” or “lustfully” threatens to undermine due  process by failing to put the public on notice of the kinds of acts that are prohibited by the statute. 
Although the  police reports establish that Plancarte was charged with indecent exposure three times in one week for exposing some combination of her breasts and underwear, none of these reports provide any insight into the nature of her exposure during those incidents. Moreover, the officer’s body-worn camera footage does not capture Plancarte engaging in any conduct of a sexual nature. Finally, Plancarte’s comment about being “a stripper” and her assertion that “Catholic girls [expose their breasts] all the time” are not evidence that her conduct in this instance was of a sexual nature.

In a concurring opinion, Justice Sarah Hennesy wrote, “Interpreting ‘private parts’ to include female—and not male—breasts would lead to the continued stigmatization of female breasts as inherently sexual and reinforce the sexual objectification of women. As other courts have recognized, the idea that female breasts are primarily sexual is rooted in stereotypes.”
“Activist judges like these appointed by Governor Walz  are accomplices in Walz’s war on our children,” Julie Quist of the Child Protection League <a href="https://cplaction.com/cpl-article/12489/">wrote</a>, adding:
<blockquote>Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, the ACLU of Minnesota, and the radical gender activists Gender Justice are appellants in the case. They are the same people legalizing gender mutilation on our children, releasing hardened criminals from prison, and making Minnesota a sanctuary state for illegal immigrants. 
By ignoring the relevant part of state law, two judges have outrageously legalized exhibitionism. As this relates to children, allowing women to bare breasts on the beaches, on the streets, and at grocery stores erodes children’s natural sense of modesty that serves as a safe sexual boundary. This ruling is an overt attack on their innocence and their minds, making them far more vulnerable to sexual exploitation.</blockquote>

Minnesota Supreme Court Rules Women Can Completely Bare Their Breasts In Public

A new memo from the U.S. Army asserts that transgender soldiers’ birth records will now only show their sex at birth.
“Commanders will take immediate measures to update personnel records and administrative systems to reflect biological sex for all individuals,” the memo declares, adding that pronoun use “must reflect their biological sex,” Reuters <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-army-change-transgender-soldiers-records-birth-sex-2025-05-21/#:~:text=There%20are%204%2C240%20U.S.%20active,advocates%20have%20given%20higher%20estimates." target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. The memo avers that a person’s sex is “unchanging during a person’s life,” echoing a February 26 Defense Department <a href="https://www.defense.gov/Portals/1/Spotlight/2025/Guidance_For_Federal_Policies/Prioritizing_Military_Excellence_and_Readiness_P&amp;R_Guidance.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">memo</a> that stated, “The Department only recognizes two sexes: male and female. An individual’s sex is immutable, unchanging during a person’s life. All Service members will only serve in accordance with their sex.”
Access to “intimate spaces” will be determined by the biological sex of the soldier; “Commanders will ensure all such shared intimate spaces will be clearly designated for either male, female, or family use,” the document stated. Additionally, commanders must address troops as “sir” or “ma’am.”

On May 6, the Supreme Court stayed an order from U.S. District Judge Benjamin Settle in Washington state, who issued an injunction barring the Trump administration from prohibiting transgender people in the military. President Biden had signed an executive order that permitted transgender soldiers to serve openly in the military, but the day President Trump was inaugurated in 2025, he revoked the order and issued another executive order days later, instructing Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to ban “individuals with gender dysphoria” from the military. DOD issued the ban on February 26.
Navy Commander Emily Shilling, a man identifying as a woman, had challenged Trump’s executive order, filing a federal lawsuit. A district court in Washington state then barred Trump’s executive order. But the Supreme Court stayed the order. “The district court’s injunction cannot be squared with the substantial deference that the Department’s professional military judgments are owed,” Trump’s DOJ <a href="https://www.supremecourt.gov/DocketPDF/24/24A1030/356382/20250424102154372_Emily_Shilling_et_al_application.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a>. “In suggesting that experience under the policies of the last Administration shows that service by individuals with gender dysphoria does not present meaningful risks &#8230; the court improperly second-guessed the military’s own assessment of those risks.”
