Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian flew to Qatar and met with Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh on Saturday night as war raged in the region following Hamas’ terrorist attack against Israel last weekend.
The Palestinian terrorist organization, which is backed by the Islamic Republic of Iran, murdered more than 1,300 Israelis and injured over 3,000 more. The scale of the terrorist attack, when adjusted for the difference in population size, would be equivalent to approximately a dozen 9/11 terror attacks.
Video of Haniyeh meeting with Amirabdollahian was published by Iranian state media and showed the two men in a celebratory mood following the attacks. Various reports have said that Iran was involved in helping Hamas prepare for the attacks.
The Jerusalem Post noted that neither side released any statement about the meeting.

Amirabdollahian reportedly threatened Israel during remarks made to Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, saying that if Israel continues to go after Hamas in response to their terror attacks that “no one can guarantee that the situation in the region will remain the same.”
Amirabdollahian said earlier this week that Iran’s terrorist proxy groups in the region had their “fingers on the trigger,” and were prepared to carry out attacks.
“In case of procrastination by the international community and the United Nations and the activists who support the warmongering of the Israeli regime, the response will be done at the right time and the desired resistance,” said Amirabdollahian. “I found out in the conversation with the leaders that the response that will be given is regrettable and will change the current map of the occupied territories.”

Amirabdollahian claimed that Israel was committing war crimes as they root out Hamas terrorists inside of Gaza. Israel routinely warns citizens to leave areas that they are about to strike in an effort to save lives.
