U.S. officials have warned more than a half dozen former national security officials from the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Trump administration</a> that Iran&#8217;s assassination threats against them are serious and will likely never go away as long as the Islamic regime is in place.
The threats, including the ones against former President Donald Trump, stem from the administration authorizing the drone strike that killed Qassem Soleimani in January 2020.
Soleimani, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Quds Force (IRGC-QF), was the powerful general in Iran. He was viewed as the second most powerful figure in the country behind Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and was viewed by Khamenei like a son.
A new <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2024/10/11/iran-trump-assassination-plans-00183488" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> from Politico revealed that the plots against the officials are &#8220;even more extensive and aggressive than previously reported,&#8221; according to interviews with a dozen officials about the threats.
“This is extraordinarily serious,” said Matt Olsen, the Justice Department’s assistant attorney general for national security. “Iran has made it very clear that they are determined to seek retaliation against former officials in connection with the Soleimani strike.”
The threat against Trump&#8217;s life is so serious that he has <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2024-election/trump-golf-election-rcna174834" target="_blank" rel="noopener">not played</a> golf — his favorite pastime — in a month and will not do so until after the election because federal officials are not able to secure courses to the extent needed to guarantee his safety.
Trump&#8217;s motorcade is now being broken up at random times as a precaution and he has started <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/10/11/trump-security-threats-iran-election-2024-campaign/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">traveling</a> on &#8220;nondescript planes that do not have his name on the side instead of his longtime 757 jet.&#8221;
Trump is now <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-campaign-requests-military-assets-to-protect-against-iranian-threats" target="_blank" rel="noopener">requesting</a> military assets to guard and transport him.
The Biden-Harris administration is facing significant pressure to provide security details to all who have received threats as some have been forced to spend exorbitant amounts of their own money to defend themselves and their families.
A former senior Trump administration said that the threats they are facing are &#8220;historic&#8221; as the U.S. has &#8220;never had former senior national security officials,&#8221; including cabinet members, face serious threats on their life from a foreign adversary.
Iran has <a href="https://www.wsj.com/world/middle-east/how-iran-uses-criminal-gangs-in-the-west-to-target-its-enemies-e0f87cc1?mod=mhp" target="_blank" rel="noopener">relied</a> on criminals, gangs, and drug cartels to carry out hits abroad.
At least seven former Trump officials receive 24/7 protection from the U.S. government, which can include up to six officers at a time.
Six of the seven are top former officials who were directly involved with the operation going after Soleimani,  including Mark Esper, Secretary of Defense; Mark Milley, Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; Paul Nakasone, head of NSA and U.S. Cyber Command; Kenneth McKenzie, head of U.S. Central Command; Mike Pompeo, Secretary of State; and Brian Hook, the State Department’s Special Representative for Iran.
Several other former Trump administration officials have received serious threats, including former national security adviser John Bolton, who received government protection after Iran began soliciting hitmen to kill him, offering to pay $300,000.
One of the most alarming incidents involved former Trump national security adviser Robert O’Brien, who traveled to Paris in June 2022 to receive an award from the French government.
While there, the Secret Service detail assigned to him noticed he was being followed by two Muslims throughout the city. The final time that they were spotted, the two men did something that was so alarming that the agents grabbed O&#8217;Brien out of a meeting and rushed him back to his hotel room. No further details were given about what specifically happened.
Disgraced former Secret Service Director Kimbery Cheatle later stripped O&#8217;Brien of his security detail and told him that he would have to find his own, the report said. He has had to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars protecting himself and his family.
The Pakistani national who was arrested in July for orchestrating a murder-for-hire plot on behalf of Iran &#8220;remotely scouted a Trump rally,&#8221; the report said.
While there is no indication that the two assassination attempts that Trump survived this year were connected to Iran, the FBI has not ruled out the possibility and likely will not say while the investigation is ongoing.
Other Trump officials who have been warned by the FBI that their life is in danger, and who are not receiving protection, include former national security officials Matt Pottinger, Victoria Coates, and Robert Greenway.
Pottinger warned that Americans who dismiss the threats because they hate Trump are foolish because &#8220;it could just as easily be the Biden guys.&#8221;
He said that he is concerned by the Biden-Harris administration&#8217;s extremely weak response to the threats because of the message that it sends to China, Russia, and other U.S. adversaries, which is that they should threaten specific U.S. officials in hopes of getting them to soften U.S. policy toward them.
“We don’t want national security officials who are chicken s***,” he said.

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/iran" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Iran&#8217;s</a> Islamic regime reportedly knew about Hamas&#8217; October 7 terrorist attack at least several months before it was carried out in 2023, according to newly released documents that were discovered months ago inside Gaza.
The New York Times <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/12/world/middleeast/hamas-israel-war.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">obtained</a> minutes of 10 secret meetings that Hamas held that included Yahya Sinwar and his top commanders in which they planned the massacre that killed more than 1,200 people.
The Israeli military discovered the documents on a computer in January 2024 as they searched an underground command center in Khan Younis. &#8220;Members of and experts close to Hamas&#8221; confirmed to the Times that the documents were legitimate and authentic, the report said.
The Washington Post reported that other documents from Hamas showed that the terrorist group had even deadlier plans for its attack on Israel. Hamas&#8217; plans were based on more than 17,000 photographs of Israel that were taken from satellites, drones, and social media postings.
Hamas planned attacks at additional Israeli military facilities, Ben Gurion International Airport, a 70-story skyscraper, and &#8220;the Azrieli Center complex which comprises three skyscrapers, a large shopping mall, train station and cinema.&#8221;
The terrorist group searched for ways to destroy the skyscraper, hoping to replicate, on a smaller scale, Al-Qaeda&#8217;s September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the U.S.
Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has publicly claimed that Iran had nothing to do with the attack and was not aware of its planing. However, documents obtained by the various publications also debunk this false claim.
It has already been <a href="https://www.wsj.com/world/middle-east/hamas-fighters-trained-in-iran-before-oct-7-attacks-e2a8dbb9" target="_blank" rel="noopener">established</a> that hundreds of Hamas terrorists received &#8220;specialized combat training&#8221; inside Iran from the country&#8217;s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Quds Force (IRGC-QF) in the months leading up to October 7.
Iran sent Hamas at least $10 million, the documents state. But Sinwar wanted more and launched a &#8220;vigorous appeal&#8221; directly to Khamenei, requesting $500 million over the course of two years and training for 12,000 Hamas terrorists.
“Iran trained Hamas and encouraged them to do exactly the things they did on Oct. 7,” said Farzin Nadimi, an Iran expert and senior fellow with the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. “Their goal was to get to the core of the Israeli state and crush it.”
Hamas was ready to carry out the attack in July 2022, but decided to postpone it. The documents do not state why the attack was postponed, but based on details included in the notes, it is believed to be because they were trying to enlist support from Hezbollah and Iran.
However, the terrorist group did not want to wait too long to launch the attack because Israel was on the verge of deploying a new laser defense weapon to shoot down rockets and missiles, the report said.
Sinwar&#8217;s deputy, Khalil al-Hayya, discussed the attack in the summer of 2023 with senior IRGC commander Mohammed Said Izadi and asked for Iran&#8217;s help with striking sensitive Israeli military sites within the &#8220;first hour&#8221; of the attack, the report said.
Izadi said that Iran supported the plan, but needed time “to prepare the environment.”
While Iran did not conduct military strikes against Israel that day, it is not known, at least publicly, whether they provided any kind of logistical, surveillance, or other type of assistance to fulfill Hamas&#8217; request for support during the first hour of the attack. It is clear, however, that Iran knew about the attack well in advance of the massacre.
The Wall Street Journal <a href="https://www.wsj.com/world/middle-east/israel-says-documents-found-in-gaza-show-hamass-attack-planning-iran-ties-8de1f533?mod=hp_lead_pos3" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that some of the documents dated back to 2019, when Qassem Soleimani was still the head of the IRGC-QF.
Soleimani told Hamas that they had few allies in the region and that even Turkey, which likes Hamas, couldn’t provide “a single bullet” to the terror group.
&#8220;The reality,&#8221; Soleimani said, &#8220;is that there is no one but Iran.&#8221;

Former President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donald Trump&#8217;s</a> campaign is requesting military assets to protect him in the final weeks of the campaign after receiving intelligence briefings from U.S. officials about <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/iran" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Iran&#8217;s</a> continued efforts to assassinate him.
The campaign has requested &#8220;sophisticated, classified military assets that are used only for sitting presidents; the pre-placement of ballistic, or bullet-resistant, glass in the main battleground states where he would be campaigning most frequently; and an expansion of temporary flight restrictions over Mr. Trump’s residences and campaign sites,&#8221; The New York Times <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/11/us/politics/trump-campaign-security.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
The requests come after Trump <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/journalist-captures-photo-of-bullet-whizzing-past-trumps-head-after-it-hit-his-ear" target="_blank" rel="noopener">narrowly</a> escaped death when he was shot at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July.
There was also a plot from the Iranian government that was foiled in July when a Pakistani national was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/feds-arrest-pakistani-man-with-ties-to-iran-for-alleged-plot-to-kill-trump-report" target="_blank" rel="noopener">arrested</a> in the U.S. for an alleged murder-for-hire scheme to kill the former president.
He was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/authorities-release-new-info-about-assassination-attempt-on-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">nearly shot at</a> again while playing golf at Trump International Golf Club West Palm Beach in September.
The campaign has been hampered by the Secret Service&#8217;s inability to provide the necessary level of protection at all campaign events, which has led the campaign to have to cancel some events.
President Joe Biden said on Friday that Trump should receive the same level of protection that he does.
“I’ve told the department to give him every single thing he needs … as he were a sitting president,” Biden said. “If it fits into that category, that’s fine.”
Former U.S. officials <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/10/11/trump-security-threats-iran-election-2024-campaign/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> The Washington Post that it would be &#8220;extraordinary&#8221; for the Secret Service to provide military assets to protect Trump. The Post noted that Trump&#8217;s opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, &#8220;receives protection from the U.S. Marines as vice president and flies on Air Force Two, which is a military airplane.&#8221;
The newspaper seemingly acknowledged that the administration would loath to give Trump military protection because it could help him politically.
&#8220;If the administration granted such assets, it would give Trump a distinct look in the final months that no challenger has ever had — and would remind voters visually, every day, that he is under threat,&#8221; the report said.

Suspicions are starting to mount about the whereabouts of the leader of Iran&#8217;s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps&#8217; Quds Force (IRGC-QF), a designated terrorist organization, following an Israeli airstrike that killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah late last month.
Qaani — who replaced Qassem Soleimani after the Trump administration killed Soleimani in a drone strike in January 2020 — has not been seen in public since the September 27 strike, according to the <a href="https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/exclusive-qaani-under-guard-and-questioned-iran-probes-nasrallah-killing">Middle East Eye</a>.
Qaani traveled to Syria with other IRGC commanders after the strike on Nasrallah to assess the situation on the ground.
He was reportedly set to attend a meeting of Hezbollah’s Shura Council on October 4 with Nasrallah’s presumed successor, Hashem Safieddine, when he backed out of the meeting at the last second.
Within minutes of Safieddine arriving at the deep underground bunker, a powerful airstrike hit the bunker and demolished everything above and below ground.
Following the strike on Safieddine, contact with Qaani was lost for at least two days, leading to speculation that he was dead or had been injured in the strike.

Nearly a dozen sources throughout the Middle East told the publication that suspicions are high with Iran&#8217;s Islamic regime that Israel has penetrated the IRGC at high levels since it has been able to locate and kill top terrorists throughout the region, including Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, who was killed in July when a bomb was placed into his room at an IRGC compound.
The report claims that Qaani is under &#8220;house arrest&#8221; and his team is under investigation as officials seek to find the source of the Israeli breach into the IRGC.
Sky News Arabia reported that during his interrogation on Thursday, Qaani <a href="https://www.israelhayom.com/2024/10/10/report-quds-force-commander-suffers-heart-attack-during-interrogation-over-ties-with-israel/">suffered</a> a heart attack and was taken to the hospital.
However, a semi-official news agency linked to the IRGC said this week that Qaani was set to soon receive a medal from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
&#8220;Commander Qaani is in perfect health and will receive the Fath medal from the Supreme Leader in the coming days,&#8221; Ebrahim Jabbari, an adviser to Qaani, told Tasnim.

Israel is reportedly declining to share details about its upcoming attack on Iran with the Biden-Harris administration because it does not trust the administration.
U.S. officials were hoping to get details and a list of potential targets Israel was considering when Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant visited Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin this week. But that all went out the window when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blocked Gallant&#8217;s trip to Washington, D.C.
Israeli officials have <a href="https://www.jns.org/israeli-official-accuses-us-of-leaking-idf-plans-endangering-troops/">accused</a> the Biden-Harris administration of leaking its plans to the media in hopes that doing so will limit Israel&#8217;s ability to carry out missions successfully, thus dissuading Israel from taking action. Netanyahu spoke briefly with President Joe Biden on the phone Wednesday. An Israeli official <a href="https://www.wsj.com/world/middle-east/u-s-frustrated-by-israels-reluctance-to-share-iran-retaliation-plans-f132ebc7">told</a> The Wall Street Journal that no specifics were discussed, since the communication was over the phone.
“Our strike will be lethal, precise and above all, surprising. They won’t understand what happened and how. They will see the results,” Gallant told Israeli soldiers on Wednesday. “Whoever strikes us will be harmed and pay a price.”
The Biden-Harris administration is trying to restrain Israel&#8217;s response to Iran because a full-blown war between the two could significantly impact Vice President Kamala Harris&#8217; presidential campaign for a variety of reasons.
A new war would be yet another damaging mark against the Biden-Harris administration&#8217;s disastrous foreign policy record. A war with Iran would negatively impact markets and send the price of oil skyrocketing, especially since Iran&#8217;s terrorist proxy groups have threatened to wipe out oil facilities in the neighboring Gulf states.
A war between the two could also further erode Harris&#8217; support among the Islamic community in the U.S., particularly in Michigan, a swing state that she needs to win if she wants to become president.
The administration is pressuring Israel to not hit Iran&#8217;s nuclear and oil facilities — but, given Israel&#8217;s recent military operations, that pressure is unlikely to influence Israel&#8217;s decisions.

Mark Dubowitz, CEO of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies (FDD), said that the Biden-Harris administration was being shortsighted by urging Israel to restrain itself.
&#8220;President Biden has given explicit assurances in written pledges to the Israelis that he will use all elements of American power to ensure that the Islamic Republic doesn’t obtain nuclear weapons,&#8221; he <a href="https://x.com/mdubowitz/status/1844142853766906104">said</a>. &#8220;But now we see him trying to limit Israel’s ability to act decisively by opposing strikes on nuclear facilities as well as oil fields.&#8221;
&#8220;This sends a message to American allies and adversaries that we won’t honor our security pledges and that we’ll block our allies from defending their own security,&#8221; he added.

“Pierre Poilievre&#8217;s Conservatives are poised to win a massive majority government,” CBC News <a href="https://newsinteractives.cbc.ca/elections/poll-tracker/canada/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> on Monday. CBC News’ Poll Tracker said polls showed Poilievre&#8217;s Conservatives getting 42.8% while Trudeau’s Liberal Party only won 22.8%. “This prime minister divides to distract,” Poilievre <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/poilievre-targets-trudeau-regarding-hamas-inspired-hate-camps-at-universities">stated</a>. “He turns groups against each other; he fans the flames. He gave funds to an anti-Semitic Holocaust denier. And so, even before October 7, hate crimes were up 162%. And since, we’ve seen the rise of Hamas-inspired hate camps at university campuses that intimidate Jewish students and promote genocide. Will the Prime Minister summon the courage to join with me and call for these hate camps to be shut down and closed up so that students can safely go back to school?”
Conversely, two weeks after the October 7 Hamas massacre of more than 1200 Israelis, Trudeau asserted his government was “here” for Palestinian, Arab, and black Muslim communities.
“As members of the Palestinian, Arab, and Black Muslim communities gathered for prayer yesterday, I wanted them to know this: We know you’re worried and hurting. We’re here for you. We will not stop advocating for civilians to be protected and for international law to be upheld,” he declared.
Trudeau has a history of siding with Palestinian terrorists over Israel. In May 2018, Hamas in Gaza organized protests in which they had a multitude of their members demonstrating at the border in order to initiate conflict with Israel, likely so that Hamas members could ultimately infiltrate Israel and implement terrorist attacks. Hamas <a href="https://www.timesofisrael.com/hamas-official-50-of-the-people-killed-in-gaza-riots-were-members/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">later admitted</a> that 50 of the 62 Palestinians reported killed during the Gaza border riots were members of the Islamist terrorist group.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu encouraged the people of Lebanon this week to take their country back from Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed terrorist organization that has effectively taken over the country.
Netanyahu made the remarks as Israel continues ground operations in southern Lebanon to eliminate the terrorist group along Israel&#8217;s northern border so tens of thousands of Israelis can return to their homes.
He delivered a similar <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/netanyahu-iran-will-be-free-from-islamic-regime-a-lot-sooner-than-people-think">message</a> to the people of Iran last week where he promised them that they would be free from tyranny sooner than many think.
&#8220;Lebanon was once known for its tolerance, for its beauty,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Today, it&#8217;s a place of chaos, a place of war. Israel withdrew from Lebanon 25 years ago.&#8221;
&#8220;But the country that actually conquered Lebanon is not Israel,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;It&#8217;s Iran. &#8220;[Hezbollah] has since fired over 8,000 missiles at Israel, killing civilians without distinction—Jews, Christians, Muslims and Druze,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Israel has decided to put an end to this. We&#8217;ve decided to do whatever is necessary to return our people safely to their homes. Israel has a right to defend itself. Israel also has a right to win! And Israel will win!&#8221;
In addition to killing Hezbollah&#8217;s leader, Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah, Netanyahu revealed that Israel&#8217;s military has also killed Nasrallah&#8217;s replacement and the replacement of his replacement.
His remarks come as Israel has virtually eliminated Hezbollah&#8217;s entire senior officer corps, having killed hundreds of senior and mid-level commanders, including the group&#8217;s top leaders.
&#8220;Today, Hezbollah is weaker than it has been for many many years,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Now you, the Lebanese people, you stand at a significant crossroads. It is your choice. You can now take back your country. You can return it to a path of peace and prosperity.&#8221;
&#8220;If you don’t, Hezbollah will continue to try to fight Israel from densely populated areas at your expense,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;It doesn&#8217;t care if Lebanon is dragged into a wider war. Christians, Druze, Muslims—Sunnis and Shiites—all of you are suffering because of Hezbollah&#8217;s futile war against Israel.&#8221;
To all the mothers and fathers of Lebanon, he asked them if they wanted a better future for their sons and daughters.
&#8220;I know you want a better future for your children,&#8221; he said. &#8220;There is a better way. A better way for your children, for your cities, for your villages, for your country. You deserve to restore Lebanon to its days of tranquility; you deserve a Lebanon that is different.&#8221;
&#8220;Don&#8217;t let these terrorists destroy your future any more than they&#8217;ve already done,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;Stand up and take your country back. You have an opportunity that hasn&#8217;t existed in decades. An opportunity to take care of the future of your children and grandchildren. You have an opportunity to save Lebanon before it falls into the abyss of a long war that will lead to destruction and suffering like we see in Gaza. It doesn&#8217;t have to be that way.&#8221;

Vice President Kamala Harris claimed that Iran was the country that she considers to be the greatest U.S. adversary, despite its weak economy and military.
Harris made the remarks during a CBS News &#8220;60 Minutes&#8221; interview that aired Monday night when asked what country was America&#8217;s greatest enemy.
The bizarre answer comes after the Biden-Harris administration relaxed sanctions enforcement against the Islamic regime, allowing it to earn tens of billions of dollars in oil revenues that it has used to fund terrorism throughout the region.
&#8220;Iran has American blood on their hands,&#8221; she said. &#8220;And what we saw in terms of just this attack on Israel, 200 ballistic missiles, what we need to do to ensure that Iran never achieves the ability to be a nuclear power, that is one of my highest priorities.&#8221;
She refused to answer if she would take military action to stop Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
Most national security experts and U.S. officials also do not agree with the assessment that Iran is the greatest adversary the U.S. faces. China, Russia, and even North Korea are most often cited as greater threats.
Even Pakistan, which is not a U.S. adversary, has been cited by U.S. officials as being the country they worry about the most because of the country&#8217;s nuclear stockpile, political and social instability, and its Islamist government.

Her answer about Iran being the greatest adversary that America faces also complicated her answer about the assassination attempts that former President Donald Trump has faced.
Harris stated that resorting to violence to settle political differences was not acceptable and that she was disturbed by the attempts on Trump&#8217;s life.
However, she failed to call out Iran for its plot to kill the former president, which is ongoing, after federal law enforcement disrupted a plot over the summer and warned that Iran is not stopping.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner (R-OH) called out the Biden-Harris administration during an interview over the weekend for failing to call out Iran directly over its attempts to assassinate Trump.
“You have had no statements from the administration towards Iran as to what that would be, which would be an act of war,” he said. “And you don’t have any statements from Vice President Harris condemning this or even recognizing that there’s an active plot from a foreign nation to kill her opponent.”
“I do think that Vice President Harris needs to actively state and acknowledge that her administration is saying a foreign power, which would be an act of war is actively trying to kill her opponent,” he continued.
Turner added that the Biden-Harris administration “has made stronger statements about Iran’s hacking activities than they have about the active plot to kill Donald Trump, which the administration acknowledged is ongoing.”
“There has to be an acknowledgment, which has not happened from Vice President Harris, that there’s active plots from a foreign nation to kill her opponent,” he added.

Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro blasted the Biden-Harris administration on the anniversary of Hamas’ October 7, 2023, attack on Israel, saying that the attack would not have happened if President Joe Biden hadn’t cozied up to Iran.
Shapiro made the remarks during a speech at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, on Monday, where he discussed the terrorist attack on Israel one year ago that left around 1,200 dead and hundreds taken captive by Hamas to Gaza.
Shapiro said that following Hamas’ attack and Israel’s response, the U.S. “could’ve done something very easy.
“They could’ve said, ‘Listen, our allies deserve our support in a time of war. They should be able to pursue the ends that are necessary in order for them to achieve victory,’” he said. “The United States should not be in the position of micromanaging the wars of our allies. It’s a stupid idea in the first place. And it’s particularly stupid when America’s enemies are watching and they see every act of weakness as another sign that the United States is not willing to stand up for its allies in the region.”
The Daily Wire host then ripped the Biden-Harris administration for “playing footsie” with the terrorist regime in Iran.
“The reality is October 7 never would’ve happened if the Biden administration did not immediately come into office and start playing footsie with the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Shapiro said. “If that never happened, then October 7 never would’ve happened in the first place. The Saudis and the Israelis would’ve likely already signed the Abraham Accords. You would’ve seen the continuation of the budding peace in the Middle East.”

After President Biden had warned Israel not to strike Iranian nuclear sites or oil fields after the terror state had fired hundreds of ballistic missiles at Israel, Israel Defense Minister Yoav Gallant responded by declaring that Israel would do whatever it felt was necessary.
“At the moment, everything is on the table,” Gallant <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/world/israeli-official-warns-everything-table-idf-prepares-response-iranian-missile-attack">told</a> Fox News on Sunday. “Israel will respond to the unprecedented Iranian attack in the manner of our choosing, and at the time and place of our choosing.”
Gallant&#8217;s comments came after President Biden warned Israel against hitting Iran&#8217;s oil fields. &#8220;If I were in their shoes, I&#8217;d be thinking about other alternatives than striking oil fields,&#8221; Biden <a href="https://www.france24.com/en/live-news/20241004-biden-warns-israel-against-iran-oil-strikes-as-war-fears-mount">told</a> reporters Friday.
Former President Trump criticized Biden&#8217;s comments while campaigning in North Carolina on Friday, saying, &#8220;They asked him, &#8216;what do you think about Iran, would you hit Iran?&#8217; And he goes, &#8216;As long as they don&#8217;t hit the nuclear stuff.&#8217; That&#8217;s the thing you want to hit, right?&#8221;
The Biden-Harris administration has repeatedly attempted to curb Israel&#8217;s response to Iran&#8217;s aggression through its proxies and direct attacks. Over the weekend Vice-President Kamala Harris was <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/10/06/us-news/kamala-harris-demurs-on-whether-israeli-pm-benjamin-netanyahu-is-a-good-ally/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">asked</a> on CBS’ “60 Minutes” if she considered Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu an ally, and dodged the question, replying, “I think, with all due respect, the better question is, do we have an important alliance between the American people and the Israeli people? And the answer to that question is yes.”
In his statement to Fox News on Sunday, Gallant spoke of his hopes that Israel could still work with the United States military, saying, &#8220;It is important for us to hold discussions on strategic cooperation between our countries and defense cooperation in light of the threats posed by Iran and its proxies. We are powerful when we are aligned and I want to make sure of it.&#8221;
Gallant spoke of terrorists arrayed from Gaza in the south to Judea and Samaria as well as Hezbollah — the largest terrorist group in the world which was planning an invasion of Israel far more deadly than the October 7 Hamas massacre  — in the north.
“We have conducted counterterrorism activities in northern Gaza and in Judea and Samaria, following intel indicating that terrorists were planning Oct. 7-style attacks on Israeli citizens,” he continued. “We will operate precisely and preemptively when necessary in order to defend our citizens. &#8230; Israel has made extraordinary achievements against Hezbollah – we will do what it takes to defend our citizens and our sovereignty. This includes eliminating their attack capabilities, taking out leadership, and placing a weapons embargo on Hezbollah.&#8221;
Gallant told <a href="https://www.israelnationalnews.com/news/397201" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CNN</a> that Israel’s war against Hezbollah has “dismantled a major part of their capabilities” and made a crack that now opens the door to change not just in Lebanon, but in the entire Middle East.”

Israel Defense Minister Ignores Biden’s Warnings Not To Respond To Iran: ‘Everything Is On The Table’

Retired four-star General Frank McKenzie, the former commander of U.S. forces in the Middle East, said on Sunday that Iran was seriously trying to assassinate former President Donald Trump out of a place of &#8220;desperation&#8221; because they view him as a threat to their regime.
McKenzie made the remarks during a CBS News interview with Margaret Brennan on &#8220;Face The Nation&#8221; while discussing what Israel&#8217;s response should be to Iran&#8217;s ballistic missile attack last week.
&#8220;The principle goal of Iranian statecraft is regime preservation,&#8221; he said. &#8220;They view the election of President Trump as a direct threat to that regime preservation. So, I have no doubt believing that Iran is very active in its attempts to go after the former president, as well as other officials, of which I am keenly personally interested as well.&#8221;
&#8220;What&#8217;s driving their behavior is desperation,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;It&#8217;s actually the same sort of desperation that drove the massive attack on Israel of three or four nights ago. They&#8217;re in a corner, and they really don&#8217;t have any good options. But they don&#8217;t want to sit still and do nothing. They do view President Trump as worse than the alternatives that could be elected.&#8221;
On the matter of how Israel should respond to the attacks, he said that they had a wide range of options.

&#8220;They can choose for something that would be very escalatory in terms of a strike against the supreme leader himself perhaps or against the nuclear program or against the oil infrastructure, or they could look at military intelligence targets,&#8221; he said.
He said that it will be difficult for Israel to take out Iran&#8217;s underground nuclear facility, which is buried nearly 250 feet under a mountain, because the U.S. is the only country that has large enough bunker-buster bombs to reach the target.
He also slammed the Biden-Harris administration for saying that Israel should not hit Iran&#8217;s nuclear facilities.
&#8220;You should never take a potential target off the menu,&#8221; he said. &#8220;You want your adversary to have to plan to defend everything. Giving him assistance and not having to defend against a particular target is probably not the best way to establish this kind of deterrence.&#8221;
He said Israel should definitely consider going after Iranian oil infrastructure and going after the &#8220;Islamic Republican Guard Corps headquarters and intelligence buildings all around Tehran or anywhere else.&#8221;
