<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/russia">Russian</a> President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/vladimir-putin">Vladimir Putin</a> looked odd as he got off a plane in <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/iran">Iran</a> to meet with leaders, walking strangely with one arm hanging by his side as he swung the other wildly.
Putin hobbled along the red carpet and did not appear to shake hands as top Iranian officials greeted him.
The president has been plagued by <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/putin-has-advanced-cancer-u-s-intelligence-report-says">claims</a> that he has cancer or perhaps Parkinson&#8217;s disease. He has also been seen shaking uncontrollably and holding on to objects like desks and podiums for support. In addition, Putin has been seen looking puffy and bloated.

Back in May, a Ukrainian intelligence chief claimed Vladimir Putin is suffering from “several serious illnesses,” including cancer, but the Russian president will likely live “at least a few more years,&#8221; <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10848515/Putin-illnesses-including-cancer-years-claims-Ukraine-spy.html">reported</a> the Daily Mail.
Kyiv military spy chief Kyrylo Budanov also said assassins targeted Putin, but the attempt to take him out was thwarted.
“In an [sic] much-heralded interview with Ukrayinska Pravda, Budanov, 36, confirmed that the Ukrainians believe Putin is suffering from cancer, but did not add to an advance excerpt from the interview which revealed an apparent assassination bid on him,” the Daily Mail reported.
“He has several serious illnesses, one of which is cancer,” Budanov said. “But it is not worth hoping that Putin will die tomorrow. He has at least a few more years. Like it or not, but it’s true.”
Still, the spy chief said Putin is in a “confused” state mentally.
“Here we can argue a lot about the state of the dictator, who thought he would capture the whole country [Ukraine] in three days and raise the Russian flag on the administration building in Kyiv,” he said. “And for the third month in a row, declaring that he has the second and sometimes the first army in the world, he cannot cope, in his words, ‘with backward non-state Ukraine.&#8217;”
Some reports say the 69-year-old former KGB agent has cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy, while still others say that judging by his physical behavior at public events, he may have something else, like <a href="https://www.dw.com/en/putin-and-parkinsons-what-experts-say-about-his-health/a-61597476">Parkinson’s</a> or <a href="https://www.india.com/news/world/putin-may-be-suffering-from-dementia-parkinsons-disease-report-5285354/">dementia</a>.
Speculation swirled about Putin’s health when he <a href="https://nypost.com/2022/05/11/putin-seen-with-blotches-on-cheeks-after-skipping-hockey-game/">skipped</a> a hockey game in which he had played for about a decade, and in one public appearance, he <a href="https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/vladimir-putin-health-holding-table-russia-b2063102.html">appeared</a> bloated and was seen clinging to a table.

A constipated Iranian man went to the hospital only because his wife was concerned about his refusal to eat, his abdominal pain, and what they found inside his rectum was not what you’d expect.
The doctors, after conducting a CT scan to ascertain exactly what was gumming up the works, pulled out a seven-and-half-inch water bottle that was full. The base of the bottle was near his colon while the top rested near his anus because he apparently wanted the top where he could grab it and pull it out.
“Because of his embarrassment and fear of his wife, he did not provide any history of the presence of a FB in the rectum and arrived at the ED late,” the <a href="https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ccr3.6062">case report</a> stated, adding, “Although patients of different ages and ethnicities have been described with retained RFBs [rectal foreign bodies], more than two-thirds of patients with rectal bodies are males between the ages of 30 and 40, and individuals as old as 90 have also been described. &#8230; Most RFBs that are inserted into the anus by adults are for self-gratification.”
Five days after the man showed up at the hospital, he was discharged and referred to a psychiatric clinic. One month after the procedure he had no perforation, bleeding, or fecal incontinence. The man gave written informed consent to publish the case report.
Roughly 400 rectal foreign bodies are removed from English anuses each year, the Daily Mail <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-10178705/Horny-Britons-cost-NHS-350-000-year-shoving-foreign-objects-rectums.html">noted</a>, costing the British public about $400,000 per year to deal with.
“Various instruments, including bulbs, bottles, billy clubs, impulse body spray cans, and turkey basters, have been described as having retained RFBs,” the case report pointed out. “The FBs commonly described were plastic or glass bottles, cucumbers, light bulbs, as well as tube lights, ax handles, broomsticks, carrots, wooden, or rubber instruments.”
In November 2021, the Royal College of Surgeons in England <a href="https://publishing.rcseng.ac.uk/doi/abs/10.1308/rcsann.2020.7129">released</a> the results of a study conducted between 2010-2019 researching rectal foreign bodies that required removal. In total, 3,500 rectal foreign bodies were removed, with men responsible for 85.1% of them.

The Biden administration has taken a soft approach toward the Iranian regime, as opposed to the hard-line approach of the Trump administration. In March, reports surfaced that Biden was considering removing the Foreign Terrorist Organization designation for Iran&#8217;s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Axios <a href="https://www.axios.com/us-weighs-deal-remove-irans-irgc-from-blacklist-c4aa21ed-5b57-4be7-bce6-3670a5dac453.html">reported</a> that Iran was demanding the removal of the Foreign Terrorist Organization designation for the IRGC in order for it to restore the nuclear deal from which President Trump pulled out.
In June, while President Biden and his administration were playing footsie with Iran about its nuclear ambitions, an Iranian Revolutionary Guard military speedboat had a confrontation with a U.S. Navy warship. A high-speed Guard Boghammar, an Iranian Revolutionary Guard speedboat, sped directly toward the Cyclone-class patrol ship USS Sirocco and Spearhead-class expeditionary fast transport USNS Choctaw County.
“The two U.S. Coast Guard cutters issued multiple warnings via bridge-to-bridge radio and deployed warning flares,” the Navy said, according to <a href="https://news.yahoo.com/us-navy-iran-tense-encounter-045605549.html">Associated Press</a>.
Prior to that incident, on March 4 three Guard ships taunted Navy and U.S. Coast Guard vessels for two hours near the Persian Gulf, as a Guard&#8217;s catamaran came within 25 yards of the USCGC Robert Goldman.
In another indication of the Biden administration’s refusal to see the arc of terror represented by Iran and its allies, President Joe Biden’s Special Envoy to Iran, Robert Malley, has said that the terrorist groups Hamas and Hezbollah are <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/bidens-iran-envoy-terrorist-groups-hamas-hezbollah-are-misunderstood-have-their-own-rationality/">simply misunderstood</a> by the West.
Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR), possibly the staunchest opponent of Iran in the U.S. Senate, reacted harshly when reports indicated Biden would select Malley for his current post.
“It’s deeply troubling that President Biden would consider appointing Rob Malley to direct Iran policy,” he stated. “Malley has a long track record of sympathy for the Iranian regime &amp; animus towards Israel. The ayatollahs wouldn’t believe their luck if he is selected.”
In January, three U.S. officials left the team negotiating with Iran because Malley would not take a harder negotiating position regarding sanctions.
As another indication of his soft policy toward world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, Malley <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2022/05/25/politics/malley-nuclear-deal-tenuous/index.html">told</a> a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on Wednesday, “The simple fact is this: as a means of constraining Iran&#8217;s nuclear program, the JCPOA was working. Leaving it has not.”

A 15-year-old girl in a public park with a man was shot and killed by her father in Iran in a suspected “honor killing.”
Ariana Lashkari, 15, was murdered by her father Mohammad Kazem Lashkari, 43, who admitted he had killed her on June 27 in Nurabad but claimed it was an accident.
“After an argument, Ariana went to my mother&#8217;s house and I could not control my anger,” Mohammad Lashkari told police. “I went there with my shotgun to scare her. I really did not mean to kill my daughter. I fired involuntarily.”
But one of the young girl’s relatives told human rights activist Masih Alinejad, “Ariana was a quiet girl who went to school every day and returned, a joyous girl full of hopes. This girl was very kind and caring.”
“All of her friends and classmates adored her. Ariana was a girl that didn&#8217;t enjoy being oppressed by her father and others,” the relative continued. “She wanted to choose her own lifestyle and have a free mind. But accepting her views was hard for her father. And others who constantly said ‘Your daughter is acting up’ helped this tragedy and led to this father murdering his beloved child.”
“I&#8217;m still in shock from this tragedy,” he lamented. “Not only me but the entire city is in shock.  It&#8217;s unbelievable to see that Ariana is now gone.”
“The regime, as always, is trying hard for this tragedy not to get published or shared in the media,” the relative charged. “I hope this innocent girl&#8217;s blood is not going to be trampled on like many other girls who have been murdered in this way.”

“In Iran the punishment for murder is usually death,” <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10972323/Iranian-father-shoots-dead-15-year-old-daughter-suspected-honour-killing.html">The Daily Mail</a> pointed out. “However, the murder of a child or grandchild by their father or paternal grandfather is an exception and carries a maximum sentence of ten years.  In Iran 15 to 18 per cent of murders are so-called honor killings. Up to 62 per cent of murders of women are committed by a family member.”
In February of this year, <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/video-iranian-man-walks-grinning-while-carrying-severed-head-of-17-year-old-wife/">video was published</a> showing a grinning Iranian man walking through the streets of Ahvaz in southwest Iran while carrying the severed head of his 17-year-old wife, whom he had reportedly murdered with his brother in an “honor killing.”
Sajjad Heydari carried the head of his wife Mona Heydari in one hand and a blade in the other, East2West News reported, according to <a href="https://nypost.com/2022/02/08/iranian-man-carries-wifes-head-after-honor-killing/?utm_campaign=SocialFlow&amp;utm_source=NYPTwitter&amp;utm_medium=SocialFlow">The New York Post</a>.
“Mona, who also was Sajjad’s cousin, had been forced to marry him when she was just 12 years old, according to the Women’s Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran,” The Post noted.
The couple had a three-year-old son. That fact was reportedly used to pressure Mona to stay despite domestic abuse and a wish for divorce, but she escaped to Turkey. “Her father helped the husband, who is his nephew, to bring the woman back to the country,” <a href="https://www.iranintl.com/en/202202060032">Iran International</a> reported.
Only days after her return, “Sajjad and his brother allegedly tied her hands and chopped off her head. Her body was dumped before her husband paraded through the streets with her head,” the Post reported. The two men have reportedly been arrested.
After the Rokna news agency published the video of Sajjad Heydari walking through the streets with his wife’s head, Iran&#8217;s media watchdog reportedly shut the news agency down.

Iranian Father Murders 15-Year-Old Daughter With Shotgun In Suspected ‘Honor Killing’

Iran’s state television announced on Sunday the launch of a solid-fueled rocket into space, a move drawing criticism from the U.S. ahead of plans for continued talks regarding the Iranian nuclear deal.
The action is one of the multiple rocket launches intended to carry satellites into orbit, Iran’s government confirmed earlier this month.
“Ahmad Hosseini, spokesman for Iran’s Defense Ministry, said Zuljanah, a 25.5 meter-long rocket, was capable of carrying a satellite of 220 kilograms (485 pounds) that would ultimately gather data in low-earth orbit and promote Iran’s space industry. Zuljanah is named for the horse of Imam Hussein, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad,” the Associated Press <a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://apnews.com/article/space-launches-middle-east-iran-tehran-european-union-b197265d72809ef97c7cd12cd3c33f07" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
The White House confirmed in the report that it was aware of the launch and referred to the act as “unhelpful and destabilizing.”
The launch followed reports earlier this month that showed images from Maxar Technologies revealing a launch pad at Imam Khomeini Space Launch Terminal in Iran.
Iran’s state news agency also <a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://apnews.com/article/space-launches-middle-east-iran-dubai-united-arab-emirates-2b33cf4c44a85fd87f3e15b88ac281ac" target="_blank" rel="noopener">noted</a> in May that Iran would likely “have seven homemade satellites ready for launch by the end of the Persian calendar year in March 2023.”
The launch comes after a visit on Friday to Tehran by European Union (E.U.) foreign policy chief Josep Borrell. The E.U. leader met with Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and other officials as part of the ongoing efforts to achieve a diplomatic solution to Iran’s nuclear development.

In his remarks following the visit, Borrell <a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://www.eeas.europa.eu/eeas/iran-remarks-high-representative-josep-borrell-after-talks-tehran_en" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> he “had the opportunity to explain to my Iranian counterparts that the JCPOA [Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action] will allow them to go to full potential in terms of economy.”
He added, “But for this, the JCPOA has to be fully operational and fully implemented.”
The Biden administration’s involvement in the Iranian talks had previously stalled after the Iranian government demanded that the U.S. remove the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) from its terror list.
More than 80 House Republicans joined in a <a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://franklin.house.gov/sites/evo-subsites/franklin.house.gov/files/evo-media-document/03.07.22%20-%20%20LTR%20-%20IRGC%20FTO%20%28FINAL%29.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">letter</a> to Secretary of State Antony Blinken to speak out against the potential removal of the IRGC.
“For years the IRGC has supported and participated in numerous human rights abuses and terrorist activities. They should not be removed from the FTO list until they can prove that they have ceased ALL terrorist activity,” Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-IA), one of the representatives joining the letter, said in a <a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://millermeeks.house.gov/media/press-releases/miller-meeks-joins-letter-keep-irans-islamic-revolutionary-guard-corps-foreign" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a>.
As The Daily Wire previously <a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/900-gold-star-families-call-on-biden-not-to-abandon-veterans-by-giving-in-to-irans-demand-to-remove-terrorist-group-label" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>, a group of 900 Gold Star family members and wounded military veterans also sent a letter to President Joe Biden urging him not to give in to Iran’s demands.

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/iran">Iranian nuclear scientists</a> have been <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/iran-admits-deadly-explosion-at-suspected-nuclear-facility-was-no-accident">dropping like flies</a> in mysterious “accidents” in recent years, and now a court in Tehran has ordered the U.S. to pay their families $4.3 billion.
The court order, reported by the state-run IRNA media, comes amid a shadow war with Iran’s arch-enemy, Israel, which is determined to prevent the rogue Islamist nation from obtaining nuclear weapons. Iran has seen a spate of assassinations by motorcycle-riding hitmen, drone attacks, and even poisonings of operatives believed to be connected to its nuclear weapons program.
“At this very time, Iran is making an effort to complete the production and installation of 1,000 advanced IR6 centrifuges at its nuclear facilities, including a new facility being built at an underground site near Natanz,” Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said <a href="https://www.timesofisrael.com/iran-said-building-vast-new-underground-tunnels-to-hold-nuclear-enrichment-facility/">recently</a>.

The court ordered the compensation be paid to families of three nuclear scientists killed in assassinations and to one who was wounded after they filed suit. The country has no U.S. assets to seize, and it is unlikely the Biden administration will take the court order seriously.
While suspicion about the clandestine efforts to stop Iran from arming up has focused on Israel, the court order only referred to Israel as a &#8220;Zionist regime&#8221; supported by the U.S. in its &#8220;organised crime.&#8221;
Mysterious deaths and attacks on key facilities have accelerated inside the rogue nation in recent months.

Ali Esmailzadeh of the Revolutionary Guards’ elite Quds Force <a href="https://www.timesofisrael.com/irans-revolutionary-guards-kills-its-own-officer-for-suspected-spying-report/">reportedly</a> died after falling from his roof. Opponents of the Islamic Republic claimed he was killed by the state because they suspected him of being a spy.</li>
<li>In late May, assassins on motorcycles gunned down Col. Hassan Sayad Khodayari, another key member of the Quds Force who had planned attacks on Israelis in a hit in Tehran. Khodayari, who was known to work in Syria on behalf of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards unit, was involved in planning attacks on Jews and Israelis around the world, <a href="https://www.jpost.com/breaking-news/article-707380">The Jerusalem Post reported</a>.</li>
<li>Israel was accused of poisoning two Iranian scientists last month. Ayoub Entezari, an aerospace engineer at a missile and drone research facility in the city of Yazd, fell sick after returning from a May 31 dinner and died of suspected poisoning. Kamran Aghamolaei, a geologist who worked at an Iranian nuclear facility in Natanz, died June 2 of multiple organ failure after allegedly being poisoned while on a business trip.</li>
<li>In late 2020, Iran blamed Israel when nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was killed by a remote-controlled machine gun while in a car near Tehran.</li>

President Joe Biden is trying to restart former President Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran, in which Obama sent the regime pallets containing millions of dollars in cash as part of the deal in exchange for a pledge to stop seeking nuclear weapons. Amid growing suspicions Iran had not abided by the deal, former President Trump withdrew from it in 2018 and imposed tough economic sanctions on Iran.
Biden’s efforts have stalled in recent weeks after the U.S. designated Iran&#8217;s Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization and Iran is enriching uranium closer than ever to weapons-grade levels.

While President Biden and his administration play footsie with Iran about its nuclear ambitions, an Iranian Revolutionary Guard military speedboat had a confrontation with a U.S. Navy warship on Monday.
Prior to the Monday incident, on March 4, three Guard ships taunted Navy and U.S. Coast Guard vessels for two hours near the Persian Gulf, as a Guard&#8217;s catamaran came within 25 yards of the USCGC Robert Goldman.
On Monday, a high-speed Guard Boghammar, an Iranian Revolutionary Guard speedboat, sped directly toward the Cyclone-class patrol ship USS Sirocco and Spearhead-class expeditionary fast transport USNS Choctaw County.
“The two U.S. Coast Guard cutters issued multiple warnings via bridge-to-bridge radio and deployed warning flares,” the Navy said, according to <a href="https://news.yahoo.com/us-navy-iran-tense-encounter-045605549.html">Associated Press</a>.
“The Sirocco repeatedly blows its horn at the Boghammar, which turns away as it closes in,” the AP reported, adding, “The Navy said the Boghammar came within 50 yards (45 meters) of the Sirocco, raising the risk of the vessels running into each other. The overall encounter lasted about an hour, the Navy said.”
“The IRGCN’s actions did not meet international standards of professional or safe maritime behavior, increasing the risk of miscalculation and collision,” the U.S. Navy <a href="https://www.dvidshub.net/news/423388/unsafe-unprofessional-action-irgcn-vessels-toward-us-naval-forces-arabian-gulf">stated.</a>

“The Navy did not elaborate on why it did not announce the previous incident, particularly since a larger vessel came even closer to an American warship. However, that was just as a deal in Vienna between Iran and world powers on restoring the nuclear deal looked possible, before the talks broke down,” <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/us-navy-iran-have-tense-encounter-in-strait-of-hormuz/2022/06/21/872762be-f11e-11ec-ac16-8fbf7194cd78_story.html">the AP </a>noted.
Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/pompeo-says-biden-iran-talks-squandered-middle-east-stability">blasted</a> Biden on Sunday vis-a-vis Iran, asserting, “The stability that we had built during our four years has now just been squandered and thrown away. They’re putting us all at risk. &#8230; When you side with the Iranians, when you side with the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism, against Israel, and against Saudi Arabia, and against the Emirates, those leaders of those countries no longer have confidence in the United States.”
According to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Iran is now using 166 advanced IR-6 centrifuges at its underground Fordo facility to further enrich uranium.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is reportedly continuing to escalate its enrichment of uranium by preparing to use advanced centrifuges at its underground Fordow nuclear facility as U.N. experts warn that Iran now has enough of the material to build a nuclear weapon.
The development, which was contained in a United Nations nuclear watchdog report that was obtained by Reuters, comes after the overwhelming majority of nations on the International Atomic Energy Agency&#8217;s (IAEA) Board of Governors condemned Iran for failing to explain why uranium traces were found at sites Iran did not disclose.

The advanced centrifuge machines have the ability to change the level of purity at which they enrich uranium, thus enabling the Iran to quickly ramp up production of the purity of uranium needed to produce nuclear weapons.
&#8220;At a different site, Iran is already enriching to up to 60%, close to the roughly 90% of weapons-grade and far above the 2015 deal&#8217;s cap of 3.67%,&#8221; the report added. &#8220;In response to the Board of Governors&#8217; resolution, Iran has ordered the removal of IAEA cameras installed under the 2015 deal and pressed ahead with the installation of IR-6 centrifuges at an underground plant at Natanz where the deal lets it enrich but only with far less efficient IR-1 machines.&#8221;
The IAEA said in a report late last month that was viewed by several publications that Iran&#8217;s stockpile of enriched uranium had reached a high enough level that they could now produce a nuclear weapon which comes as Democrat President Joe Biden has failed to get Iran back into a nuclear agreement. Multiple negotiators with the Biden administration have quit because they said that Biden was being <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/3-biden-admin-negotiators-leave-team-working-on-iran-nuclear-deal-because-biden-being-too-soft-report">far too weak</a> in dealing with Iran in nuclear negotiations.
&#8220;The IAEA reported that Iran’s stockpile of 60% highly enriched uranium had reached 43.3 kilograms, equivalent to 95.5 pounds,&#8221; The Wall Street Journal <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/iran-hasnt-provided-credible-explanations-for-nuclear-material-u-n-agency-says-11653923148?mod=lead_feature_below_a_pos1">reported</a>. &#8220;A person close to the IAEA said Iran’s stockpile of 60% is now above the so-called significant quantity that defines how much nuclear material could be needed for a nuclear weapon.&#8221;
Experts say Iran can quickly convert the 60% enriched uranium into the 90% enriched uranium that is needed to build a nuclear weapon.

The May 25 explosion at a facility in Parchin that killed one engineer and injured another was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/suicide-drones-attack-highly-sensitive-military-site-deep-inside-iran-report">attributed to a drone attack by western media</a>. It followed the assassinations of key defense officials and other clandestine efforts to impede the Islamic Republic’s alleged efforts to develop nuclear weapons. But at the time, Iran’s Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics insisted the explosion was an accident.
On Monday, Iranian media outlets quoted Imam Hussein University President Hasani Ahangar attributing the explosion to “industrial sabotage.&#8221;

Iran denies that the Parchin site is used to conduct nuclear weapons research, although it did admit that it has tested parts used for nuclear detonators there. Another mysterious explosion occurred there in June of 2020, which Iran denied had even taken place but which was proven using satellite images. Still, another explosion occurred at the site in <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-29550156">2014</a>.
Mysterious deaths and attacks on key facilities have accelerated inside the rogue nation in recent months, prompting speculation that Israel or another state actor could be trying to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
Earlier this month, Col. Ali Esmailzadeh of the Revolutionary Guards’ elite Quds Force <a href="https://www.timesofisrael.com/irans-revolutionary-guards-kills-its-own-officer-for-suspected-spying-report/">reportedly</a> died after falling from his roof. Opponents of the Islamic Republic claimed he was killed by the state because they suspected him of being a spy.
And in late May, assassins on motorcycles gunned down Col. Hassan Sayad Khodayari, another key member of the Quds Force who had planned attacks on Israelis in a brazen hit in Tehran. Khodayari, who was known to work in Syria on behalf of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards unit, was involved in planning attacks on Jews and Israelis around the world, <a href="https://www.jpost.com/breaking-news/article-707380">The Jerusalem Post reported</a>.
He was shot dead in front of his home on Mojahedin Eslam Street by assailants who fled, according to Iranian reports.
Israel was accused of poisoning two Iranian scientists last month. Ayoub Entezari, an aerospace engineer at a missile and drone research facility in the city of Yazd, fell sick after returning from a May 31 dinner and died of suspected poisoning. The host who invited him to the dinner subsequently vanished, according to <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2022/06/13/world/middleeast/israel-poison-iranian-scientists.html">The New York Times</a>, and Iranian officials told the paper it blamed Israel. Kamran Aghamolaei, a geologist who worked at an Iranian nuclear facility in Natanz, died June 2 of multiple organ failure after allegedly being poisoned while on a business trip.

Two more top Iranian officials have been killed this week in separate mysterious incidents, just days after a top Iranian commander was gunned down outside his home and an Iranian drone manufacturing site came under attack by suicide drones.
Colonel Ali Esmailzadeh of the Revolutionary Guards&#8217; elite Quds Force reportedly died during an incident at his residence in the city of Karaj.
Iranian media said that he died after falling from his roof. Opponents of the Islamic Republic, however, claimed that Esmailzadeh was killed by the state because they suspected him of being a spy involved in the death of Colonel Hassan Sayad Khodayari, who was gunned down in front of his home by operatives on a motorcycle.
&#8220;The report said that after Khodaei’s killing, the IRGC began hunting for security leaks and became suspicious of Esmailzadeh,&#8221; The Times of Israel <a href="https://www.timesofisrael.com/irans-revolutionary-guards-kills-its-own-officer-for-suspected-spying-report/">reported</a>. &#8220;He was then thrown from his roof, but the IRGC told his family he died by suicide because he was distraught over his separation from his wife, Iran International said, citing &#8216;sources in Iran.'&#8221;
Khodaei planned &#8220;abductions and assassinations&#8221; on Jews around the world as part of the military operations of a Quds Force group known as Unit 840. Israel reportedly <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2022/05/25/world/middleeast/iran-israel-killing-khodayee.html">told</a> U.S. officials that killing Khodaei was a message to Iran to cease its covert operations targeting its citizens.
The news of Esmailzadeh and Khodaei&#8217;s deaths come as a prominent Iranian aerospace engineer, Dr. Ayoob Entezari, who worked on Iran&#8217;s drone program, was <a href="https://www.i24news.tv/en/news/middle-east/iran-eastern-states/1654319324-aerospace-engineer-found-dead-iranian-media-reports">reportedly</a> found dead of suspected food poisoning.

Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Christopher Wray revealed that Iranian hackers were behind a thwarted 2021 cyberattack on Boston Children&#8217;s Hospital that threatened to disrupt medical services.
Wray shared the remarks on Wednesday during a cybersecurity conference at Boston College.
The FBI director <a href="https://apnews.com/article/russia-ukraine-technology-health-middle-east-e4f8e7145e4b4447a331d4b0cc5a5bd3" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> the audience the hacking incident was “one of the most despicable cyberattacks I’ve seen.”
He applauded the prompt responses by those involved in protecting the hospital&#8217;s patients.
“And quick actions by everyone involved, especially at the hospital, protected both the network and the sick kids who depended on it,” Wray added.
Wray also noted that the response was enhanced due to working with the children&#8217;s hospital following a previous cyberattack the facility&#8217;s network experienced in 2014.
“Children’s and our Boston office already knew each other well — before the attack from Iran — and that made a difference,” Wray added.
No motive was mentioned regarding the incident. The method involved an exploit of Fortinet software used to control the hospital&#8217;s computer network, according to a CNN <a href="https://edition.cnn.com/2022/06/01/politics/fbi-blames-iran-hospital-cyberattack/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a>.
The report also pointed out that Wray had accused Iranian hackers of being behind a cyberattack on a children&#8217;s hospital in March, though the specific location had not been revealed.
The acknowledgment of the Iranian cyberattack adds to a growing list of threats from Iran&#8217;s government on Americans at home and internationally.
In March, the State Department <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/u-s-paying-millions-every-month-to-protect-mike-pompeo-aide-from-iran" target="_blank" rel="noopener">revealed</a> it is paying millions of dollars every month to protect former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and a former top aide after uncovering “serious and credible” threats from Iran.
In a report to Congress dated February 14, the State Department shared that the U.S. government is paying more than $2 million a month to provide security to Pompeo and former Iran envoy Brian Hook, according to the <a href="https://apnews.com/article/biden-mike-pompeo-iran-middle-east-795eb3faae6dc4803faafa3ee6615f4a">Associated Press</a>. Both men were heavily involved in former President Donald Trump’s hardline pressure campaign against the Iranian regime.
Also in March, Iran <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/missiles-fired-at-u-s-consulate-in-erbil-iraq-reportedly-from-iran" target="_blank" rel="noopener">fired</a> multiple rockets toward the U.S. consulate located in Erbil, a city in northwestern Iraq. Several missiles hit the consulate building, a source close to the matter <a href="https://www.usnews.com/news/world/articles/2022-03-12/missiles-target-us-consulate-in-north-iraq-no-casualties#:~:text=Iraqi%20security%20forces%20say%20at,several%20missiles%20hitting%20the%20building.&amp;text=March%2012%2C%202022%2C%20at%207%3A19%20p.m.">told</a> the Associated Press.
“One of the officials said the ballistic missiles were fired from Iran,” the AP <a href="https://www.usnews.com/news/world/articles/2022-03-12/missiles-target-us-consulate-in-north-iraq-no-casualties#:~:text=Iraqi%20security%20forces%20say%20at,several%20missiles%20hitting%20the%20building.&amp;text=March%2012%2C%202022%2C%20at%207%3A19%20p.m.">reported</a>. “The attack comes several days after an Israeli strike near Damascus, Syria killed two members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard.”
The AP added that “Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency quoted Iraqi media acknowledging the attacks, without saying where they originated.”
Despite the repeated attacks, President Joe Biden recently considered lifting the Foreign Terrorist Organization designation on Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The option was considered as Biden sought to get Iran to reenter a nuclear deal. The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action ended after Trump pulled the U.S. out of the agreement in 2018. The decision was later made not to move forward on the proposed change, with the negotiations regarding the renewed Iranian nuclear deal failing to materialize.
