<p>An impeachment witness claimed on Wednesday that President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/joe-biden" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Joe Biden</a>&#8216;s son Hunter Biden and brother Jim Biden perjured themselves during transcribed interviews before Congress.</p>
<p>Tony Bobulinski, a former business associate of the Biden family, spoke about the alleged lies in his <a href="https://oversight.house.gov/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Bobulinski-Written-Statement.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">written statement</a> and opening remarks for an impeachment hearing on Capitol Hill.</p>
<p>The claims focused on what the Biden family members told the House Oversight Committee in depositions this month about dealings with a Chinese Communist Party-linked energy company.</p>

<p>Hunter Biden, he said, &#8220;lied to the Committee about important details concerning his money demands and threats to CEFC on July 30 and July 31, 2017.&#8221;</p>
<p>The witness said Hunter Biden &#8220;leveraged&#8221; his father&#8217;s presence to &#8220;strong-arm CEFC&#8221; leading to a $5 million wire transfer to a company of which the first son owned 50%.</p>
<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s important to remember that CEFC considered this money an interest-free loan to the &#8216;Biden family&#8217; and planned to send more. I have the email from CEFC to prove it,&#8221; Bobulinski said.</p>
<p>Bobulinski said Jim Biden &#8220;lied extensively&#8221; during his own transcribed interview and Hunter Biden &#8220;confirmed&#8221; Jim Biden perjured himself about a meet-up at a Los Angeles hotel in May 2017.</p>
<p>The meeting was premised on Hunter Biden wanting Bobulinski to meet with his father because he was the CEO of Sinohawk, the Bidens&#8217; partnership with CEFC, the witness said.</p>

<p>Hunter Biden <a href="https://oversight.house.gov/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Hunter-Biden-Transcript_Redacted.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said in his deposition</a> that Bobulinski spoke to his father, who was in town to speak at a conference, in the hotel lobby.</p>
<p>But Jim Biden <a href="https://oversight.house.gov/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/James-Biden-Transcript.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">denied</a> that he was present for any such meeting and went as far as to say his brother Joe Biden &#8220;never&#8221; met with Bobulinski. Although Jim Biden qualified his denial by saying it was to his knowledge, Bobulinski insisted he was telling a &#8220;flat-out lie.&#8221;</p>
<p>Bobulinski said he hoped the GOP-led committee would hold Hunter Biden and Jim Biden &#8220;accountable&#8221; for the alleged perjury.</p>
<p>The House Oversight Committee invited Hunter Biden to attend the hearing on Wednesday, but the first son denied the offer, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/hunter-biden-refuses-public-hearing-comer-says-panel-called-his-bluff" target="_blank" rel="noopener">citing</a> a scheduling conflict.</p>
<p>Chairman James Comer (R-KY) <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/comer-says-biden-impeachment-inquiry-will-lead-to-multiple-criminal-referrals" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in an interview over the weekend the impeachment inquiry would lead to &#8220;multiple&#8221; criminal referrals, citing discrepancies in testimony.</p>
<p>During his deposition in February, Hunter Biden said that his venture with Bobulinski never got funded, and he and his uncle Jim Biden went on to do a venture with CEFC without Bobulinski.</p>
<p>Hunter Biden said Bobulinski got dropped from the dealings because he &#8220;lost complete faith&#8221; in Bobulinski.</p>
<p>&#8220;I did not find him to be credible. I did not find him to be competent. I found him to be arrogant. I found him to often not tell the full truth or the truth at all,&#8221; he added.</p>
<p>Jim Biden said in his deposition that he was not &#8220;fond&#8221; of Bobulinski and responded &#8220;yes&#8221; when asked if he would describe Bobulinski as a &#8220;bully&#8221; during an exchange about their ill-fated team-up.</p>
<p>Bobulinski claims Hunter and James Biden <a href="https://oversight.house.gov/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Bobulinski-Transcript.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">&#8220;knowingly and aggressively&#8221;</a> defrauded him.</p>
