<p>Data from <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/immigration-and-customs-enforcement-ice" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Immigration and Customs Enforcement</a> (ICE) that was released this week show that hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens in the U.S. are serious criminals.</p>
<p>Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX) released the data as Vice President Kamala Harris was set to make her first serious visit to the southern border where she is responsible for the administration&#8217;s disastrous policies that have led to more than 10 million illegal aliens pouring into the U.S.</p>
<p>&#8220;As of July 21, 2024, there were 662,566 noncitizens with criminal histories on ICE&#8217;s national docket, which includes those detained by ICE, and on the agency&#8217;s non-detained docket,&#8221; said Patrick J. Lechleitner, Deputy Director and Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Director for ICE, in a letter to Gonzales.</p>
<p>&#8220;Of those, 435,719 are convicted criminals, and 226,847 have pending criminal charges,&#8221; he added.</p>
<p>The data included a chart that listed the charge, if the illegal alien was detained, and if they were convicted or had charges pending.</p>
<p>The most disturbing stats were the number of criminals convicted of serious crimes who are not detained because of Democrat sanctuary policies, including:</p>
<ul>
<li>Arson: 792</li>
<li>Assault: 62,231</li>
<li>Burglary: 14,301</li>
<li>Dangerous Drugs: 56,533</li>
<li>Fraud: 15,979</li>
<li>Homicide: 13,099</li>
<li>Kidnapping: 2,521</li>
<li>Sexual Assault: 15,811</li>
<li>Weapon Offenses: 13,423</li>
</ul>
<p>Gonzales said that the staggering numbers were a direct result of the Biden-Harris administration&#8217;s policies.</p>

It’s time for Washington to move past rhetoric and toward results.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Americans deserve to feel safe in their communities,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;As an Appropriator, I will do everything in my power to ensure ICE has the resources necessary to deport noncitizens with a criminal record—this must be a priority. The Biden-Harris administration also plays a part in cleaning up the mess their failed policies have created. They have the ear of sanctuary city mayors—it’s time to encourage them to reverse course and put the safety of American citizens first.&#8221;</p>
