Boston Democratic Mayor Michelle Wu wants to expose property owners looking to lease parking spots to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in her sanctuary city.
The federal immigration enforcement agency recently posted about its search for property owners across the country &#8220;capable of providing surface and/or structured vehicle parking spaces in the vicinity of existing or planned ICE facilities,&#8221; <a href="https://www.bostonherald.com/2026/08/17/wu-plans-foia-to-id-property-owners-interested-in-leasing-to-ice/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to the Boston Herald. In Boston, ICE is looking for 249 contiguous parking spaces.
In an interview Sunday, Wu <a href="https://www.wcvb.com/article/boston-mayor-michelle-wu-goes-on-the-record-about-ice-public-safety/73439272" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> her office will file public records requests to see which private property owners have expressed interest in leasing to ICE, in hopes of contacting them.
&#8220;We as a city will be filing another FOIA request for any responses that have come in from the Boston area so that we know what information they may be sifting through,&#8221; Wu said. &#8220;We strongly oppose any expansion of their efforts here and would encourage and will be reaching out to property owners to try to make sure that they&#8217;re not adding to a surge of unlawful and dangerous activity.&#8221;
The mayor acknowledged that the city &#8220;can’t block private property [owners],&#8221; but said that officials can inform them that &#8220;this is not a way to make our community safer.&#8221;
&#8220;We look to find as much information as possible about what their plans are, what information they might be looking at in order to have the best possible response and protect our communities,&#8221; Wu said.
Wu cited recent ICE activity, including a recent operation in Maine that resulted in an officer fatally shooting a migrant, for her decision to inquire with the federal government.
&#8220;Unfortunately, we already have proof of what happens when they conduct a surge operation,&#8221; she said. &#8220;We&#8217;ve seen it in other cities, we&#8217;ve seen it to some extent in the greater Boston-Massachusetts Commonwealth area.&#8221;
&#8220;But we don&#8217;t have to look that far up to Maine, to the Twin Cities to see what happens and the life or death consequences when they take officers who are untrained and given a directive that is very far from protecting the public,&#8221; Wu said.
Boston has &#8220;already done everything possible&#8221; to stop ICE from accessing public property, the mayor said, adding that the city &#8220;will be doing whatever we can to communicate with private property owners.&#8221;
The Department of Homeland Security responded to Wu&#8217;s plan Monday, saying the &#8220;pro-criminal mayor&#8221; is &#8220;trying to intimidate Bostonians,&#8221; knowing &#8220;she has ZERO authority to block ICE from utilizing private property.&#8221;
&#8220;If PRIVATE citizens want to allow federal law enforcement onto their OWN property, they should be allowed to do so,&#8221; the agency wrote on X. &#8220;They should not face threats from their radical mayor who shamelessly compared ICE agents to a neo-Nazi group.&#8221;

The suspect accused of shooting a Dallas Independent School District (ISD) police officer with the officer&#8217;s own gun is an illegal immigrant who crossed the border just four years ago, The Daily Wire has learned.
Jose Santiago Pantoja Morales allegedly grabbed Officer Justin Jones&#8217; gun during a struggle last week and shot the 39-year-old officer in the leg before fleeing. Morales was later arrested and charged with aggravated assault of a public servant, while Jones is expected to survive his injuries.
A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson confirmed to The Daily Wire that Morales is in the country illegally and said the Mexican national told authorities that he last entered the United States by crossing the border near Eagle Pass, Texas, four years ago.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) learned of Morales&#8217; arrest and lodged a detainer with local authorities on Friday, requesting that he be transferred to federal immigration custody following his release from local custody, the spokesperson said.
“The safest way to arrest and remove criminal illegal aliens from our streets is by lodging arrest detainers,&#8221; the DHS spokesperson told The Daily Wire. &#8220;ICE’s detainer requests are lawful and help safely transfer removable criminal aliens into federal custody.&#8221;
The shooting unfolded Thursday morning after Jones stopped to help Morales while the suspect was walking along a freeway.
Jones was flagged down around 10:39 a.m. by a man who identified himself as Morales&#8217; coworker and said Morales was walking down the freeway, according to CBS News. Jones found Morales walking on the freeway&#8217;s center median before driving him to a nearby Walmart.
Once in the store&#8217;s parking lot, Jones noticed Morales digging through his own work bag and pulling out items, CBS News reported. Jones then exited the vehicle and took one of the items from Morales before pulling him out of the back seat and trying to turn him to face the car.
The two engaged in a struggle on the ground, during which Morales allegedly grabbed Jones&#8217; gun and shot him in the leg, according to CBS News.
Morales fled the scene and was arrested roughly a mile away after allegedly trying to run from officers, according to NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth. Officers observed blood on his boots and shirt when they located him.
The suspect admitted to grabbing Jones&#8217; gun and shooting him &#8220;so he could get away,&#8221; the outlet reported.
Morales was charged with aggravated assault of a public servant and is being held on a $500,000 bond.
&#8220;ICE will do everything in its power to detain and remove this criminal illegal alien from the Dallas community following the completion of his criminal proceedings,&#8221; the spokesperson said. “Under President Trump and Secretary Mullin, criminal illegal aliens like Morales are not welcome in the United States.”

The federal government plans to spend up to $20 million on thousands of &#8220;conductive distraction and de-escalation devices&#8221; by March, <a href="https://apnews.com/article/ice-electric-shock-gloves-85ff746d3e0ee5f39e7a9a3f1f576252" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to the Associated Press and a Monday Department of Homeland Security (DHS) <a href="https://apfs-cloud.dhs.gov/record/74524/public-print/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">notice</a>.
The technology, known as G.L.O.V.E., or Generated Low Output Voltage Emitter, has been used by other law enforcement agencies across the country to control violent suspects inside jails and in the field.
It comes as sources within ICE have described an uptick in violence by the individuals they&#8217;re trying to arrest. Since the Trump administration commenced its mass deportation campaign, ICE agents have faced a 1,300% surge in assaults and a 3,300% increase in vehicular attacks, according to DHS.
One agency source told The Daily Wire the new technology could serve as a useful deterrent during arrests.
&#8220;I think if people knew we had those it would definitely keep people from pushing and getting in our faces,&#8221; the source said.
The company behind the product, Kentucky-based Compliant Technologies LLC, says the gloves are &#8220;not a weapon, but a device used to quickly distract with small uncomfortable electrical pulses&#8221; when making contact with skin.
&#8220;The discomfort associated with the stimulation is usually effective in bringing individuals into compliance in less than three seconds and leaves no burns, marks or scars,&#8221; Compliant Technologies states on its website.
&#8220;The technology is safe as it does not penetrate the subject&#8217;s body; while also allowing other officers to grab the individual being stimulated with no fear of feedback into their bodies. CD3 technology is a great, humane, low-optics, de-escalation solution for many situations facing our men and women in uniform today,&#8221; the company says.
The shocks can&#8217;t pass through clothing, hair, metal, plastic, or fur, according to the company.
Agents must complete a training course before using the gloves and get re-certified to operate them every two years, <a href="https://www.complianttechnologies.net/terms-and-conditions" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to Compliant Technologies&#8217; website.
A contract solicitation for the proposed rollout is expected to be published on Friday, according to the DHS notice.

Flanagan’s win was another boost for the far-Left wing of the Democratic Party, which has seen recent wins across the country in states like New York and Michigan. As lieutenant governor, Flanagan backed an executive order from Democratic Governor Tim Walz protecting so-called “gender-affirming care” in Minnesota. During the signing ceremony, she wore a shirt with a picture of a knife and the words “Protect Trans Kids.&#8221;
“Let’s be clear: this is life-affirming and life-saving health care,” she <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/leftist-minnesota-just-gave-state-power-to-take-kids-away-if-parents-dont-approve-gender-surgery?utm_source=chatgpt.com">said</a>. “When our children tell us who they are, it is our job as grown-ups to listen and to believe them. Tafoya, who has won multiple Emmy awards while appearing as a sideline reporter for ABC, NBC, and ESPN, won the GOP nomination with 52% of the vote. She defeated former Navy SEAL Adam Schwarze and ex-NBA player Royce White. 
“Minnesota is in play. We have a real opportunity to flip this Senate seat and defeat far-left socialist Democrats in November,” Tafoya said on Tuesday as voting started. “Let’s get it done, Minnesota.”
Tafoya’s campaign has been focused on targeting fraud, supporting law enforcement, keeping men out of women’s sports, and supporting voter ID.

Federal authorities have begun summoning Haitian migrants who recently lost their legal protections to immigration offices and placing some of them in ankle monitors to track their whereabouts.
The latest move comes after roughly 350,000 <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/how-trumps-big-day-at-scotus-opens-door-for-border-crackdown-deportations">Haitian migrants</a> lost their Temporary Protected Status (TPS) when the Supreme Court allowed the Trump administration to terminate the protections. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has since begun calling in the Haitians for check-ins with ICE officers, who are placing the ankle monitors on them, <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/immigration/2026/08/03/ice-begins-outfitting-haitian-immigrants-with-ankle-monitors-attorneys-say/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to The Washington Post.
TPS had allowed many of the Haitian migrants to legally live and work in the United States for more than a decade while shielding them from deportation.
Now, the Trump administration has instructed federal immigration agents to begin prioritizing Haitians for arrest and deportation.
Many of the Haitian nationals who lost their protections have yet to appear before immigration judges or receive formal deportation orders. Some of those summoned have been enrolled in ICE&#8217;s Alternatives to Detention program, which uses tools including GPS ankle monitors to track migrants and ensure compliance with immigration proceedings.
As of July 11, nearly 54,000 migrants were outfitted with ankle monitors through the Alternatives to Detention program, according to ICE statistics. For comparison, roughly 30,000 migrants were wearing ICE ankle monitors in September 2025 and 17,000 in September 2024.
Activists said an estimated 50 to 60 Haitians living in Springfield, Ohio, a hub for the migrant population, have already received orders to report for their check-ins, <a href="https://www.springfieldnewssun.com/local/hundreds-rally-at-site-where-haitians-required-to-check-in/article_a9b5fc37-8e90-59cf-b785-c32b88234b40.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to the Springfield News-Sun.
During the 2024 campaign, then-candidate Donald Trump cited unconfirmed reports that Haitian migrants living in Springfield were eating residents’ pets and pledged to “absolutely” revoke their TPS if he returned to the White House.
DHS didn&#8217;t confirm whether the agency is targeting Haitians with ankle monitors, but criticized TPS as a &#8220;de facto amnesty program.&#8221;
“Every day, DHS is conducting law enforcement activities across the country to keep Americans safe. DHS does not discuss ongoing or future operations,&#8221; a Homeland Security spokesperson told The Daily Wire.
&#8220;Temporary Protected Status is exactly that — temporary. For too long, TPS has been allowed to function as a de facto amnesty program despite Congress never intending it to be permanent,&#8221; the spokesperson said.
DHS is now encouraging Haitians to leave the country on their own through the agency&#8217;s self-deportation program.
“What we would say now is it’s closing time, which means you don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay here,&#8221; the spokesperson said. &#8220;The good news is it’s not too late to get a $2,600 check and a free flight home.”

Airlines are engaged in a tense battle with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) over the federal agency&#8217;s efforts to arrest more targets at airports.
As the Trump administration ramps up its <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ice-ramps-up-new-tactic-to-nab-foreigners-overstaying-visas?author=Jennie+Taer&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=8&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=ICE+Ramps+Up+New+Tactic+To+Nab+Foreigners+Overstaying+Visas">mass deportation campaign</a>, ICE officers have increasingly been seen making arrests at airports. It&#8217;s part of a new tactic to nab foreigners who have overstayed their visas.
Airline industry representatives met with Homeland Security officials late last month to share their concerns with the latest operations, <a href="https://www.wsj.com/business/airlines/airlines-push-back-against-ice-enforcement-at-airports-50a49ff0?mod=hp_lead_pos1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to The Wall Street Journal.
“Airlines have had constructive discussions with ICE and TSA to ensure if law-enforcement activity occurs at an airport, there are proper procedures and protocols in place to prioritize the safety and security of all involved,” a spokeswoman for Airlines for America said.
In March, the Association of Flight Attendants wrote to carriers about their concerns with ICE&#8217;s activities at airports across the country.
“The actions that federal enforcement authorities have taken in our workplaces have raised glaring workplace, safety, and legal concerns for flight attendants,” Sara Nelson, international president of the union, wrote in the letter reported by the Journal.
Nelson referenced reports of ICE agents accessing jet bridges without permission, including in one instance in which an agent boarded a flight in Minneapolis &#8220;in order to interrogate and threaten removal of a person who criticized their presence in the airport.&#8221;
In a statement to the outlet, the Department of Homeland Security said it&#8217;s “simply enforcing our nation’s laws and established policy.”
Officers have been told to attempt to make the airport arrests at security checkpoints, but they&#8217;ve increasingly been seen doing so at gates and ticket counters, according to the Journal.
In one instance in July, an airline declined ICE&#8217;s request for assistance in accessing a jet bridge to arrest a man traveling with his wife and children, the outlet reported. In the end, the family didn&#8217;t show up for the flight.
In another case, Southwest Airlines blocked an ICE officer who tried to board a flight in Dallas to make an arrest on July 25, the Journal reported, citing documents.
In what became a viral incident on social media, ICE arrested Chantal Alejandra Morales Rojas on July 20 while she attempted to board a Southwest flight from Denver to Oakland, <a href="https://www.9news.com/article/news/latest-news-ott/immigration-judge-grants-bond-woman-ice-dia/73-a462eafa-ef1f-4fc1-af6e-60be892e77ba?utm_campaign=snd-autopilot" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to 9News.
A GoFundMe for Morales Rojas said she has a valid work permit and a pending asylum application, the outlet reported.
ICE said she entered the United States on October 20, 2024, with a visa that expired on January 4, 2025. The agency added that having a pending case or work authorization doesn’t keep ICE from making an arrest.
An immigration judge subsequently granted her bond, according to 9News.
Southwest said it is committed to ensuring a safe travel experience, adding that it follows state and federal law when dealing with law enforcement. The airline said it implements policies “to ensure appropriate legal documentation is presented by law enforcement personnel before any information about customers is shared.”
Last week, ICE officers arrested a woman as she waited to board a JetBlue flight in Las Vegas because she overstayed her visa and had a final deportation order.
JetBlue said it doesn&#8217;t have a &#8220;program or partnership in place to identify or report customers based on immigration status to government agencies.&#8221;

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) made roughly 51,000 arrests in July, setting a new monthly record as the Trump administration intensifies its mass deportation campaign.
The record-breaking month comes as the Trump administration increases pressure on immigration enforcement. As of August 4, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said it had reached one million immigration arrests since President Donald Trump&#8217;s return to the White House.
Additionally, DHS says that it has deported more than one million illegal aliens. Roughly one-third of those removals were conducted by Customs and Border Protection (CBP), meaning they were recent border crossers who were almost immediately turned back.
“In President Trump’s first year back in office, more than 3 million illegal aliens have left the U.S. because of the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration, including an estimated 2.2 million self-deportations,&#8221; an agency spokesperson said.
July surpassed the previous monthly record of roughly 43,000 arrests set in June, <a href="https://x.com/BillMelugin_/status/2084368764091748362" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to Fox News.
The Trump administration has also expanded ICE&#8217;s detention capacity to have enough bed space to hold 92,600 detainees at a time by the end of November 2026, Reuters previously <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/us/ice-spend-383-billion-detention-centers-across-us-document-shows-2026-02-13/?utm_source=chatgpt.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
With thousands of new ICE officers and billions of dollars in additional funding approved by Congress, the agency is now going full force to increase arrest numbers.
As of July 11, the agency was holding more than 65,000 illegal immigrants in ICE detention centers across the country, <a href="https://tracreports.org/immigration/quickfacts/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC).
ICE sources across the country say they&#8217;re now working at least six days a week, with the agency mandating that 70% of its personnel be on duty each day.
The agency has also adopted new tactics, including arresting immigrants who overstayed their visas at airports, The New York Times recently reported.
ICE agents have been seen making arrests at the check-in counters and boarding gates and are said to be operating at 15 airports, the outlet <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2026/07/28/us/ice-arrests-airports-visa-overstay.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>, citing documents and interviews with immigration attorneys.

William Lawrence defeated two Democrat rivals and will take on Republican Rep. Tom Barrett in the race for Michigan’s 7th Congressional District in November. Lawrence co-founded the Sunrise Movement, an organization that describes itself as “young people fighting fascism to win a Green New Deal.” 
Lawrence earned about 43% of the vote to former ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink’s 28% and ex-Navy SEAL Matt Maasdam’s 27%. 
“I’m an organizer, and on this campaign I’ve listened to the issues that bring people together. Being against these stupid wars, refusing to bow to the data center lobby’s bullying, and ending corruption in our politics,” Lawrence wrote on <a href="https://x.com/WeWill2026/status/2084850505352720648">social media</a> after his win. “It turns out, when you refuse to take lobbying money, you can actually fight for working people’s issues — across the political spectrum. That’s how we win.”
Lawrence received endorsements from leftist lawmakers like Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), and Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA). 
His <a href="https://wewill2026.com/#platform">platform</a> includes taxing the wealthy, “healthcare for all,” passing a federal moratorium on data centers, ending the war in Iran, and banning stock trading for members of Congress. 
The group he co-founded, the Sunrise Movement, <a href="https://www.sunrisemovement.org/campaign/ice-out/">describes</a> ICE as an “occupying army” and said the celebratory reactions after the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson were not “shocking.” 
“Young people have grown up watching CEOs commit mass murder, with politicians telling us to shut up and take it,” the Sunrise Movement <a href="https://www.sunrisemovement.org/movement-updates/luigi-mangione-united-healthcare-and-how-we-got-here/">said</a>. “Our whole lives, [the Democratic establishment] have refused to take on CEOs and their murderous business practices.” 
Some elected Democrats previously expressed skepticism that Lawrence could win in the general election. 
“We have a great chance to win the seat if we get the candidate that can win the seat. Will Lawrence is not that candidate,&#8221; Rep. Brad Schneider (D-IL) <a href="https://www.axios.com/2026/07/28/michigan-primary-slotkin-lawrence-brink-maasdam">told</a> Axios. 
Rep. Hillary Scholten told the outlet that Lawrence’s history of inflammatory rhetoric &#8220;speak to a broader lack of judgment, temperament, and leadership that would leave him ill-equipped to lead in Congress. In short, he can&#8217;t win.&#8221;
National Republican Congressional Committee spokesman Mike Marinella said Lawrence would be too radical for Michigan voters. 
“The Democrats’ path to the House majority is evaporating in real time,” he said in a statement. “Every embarrassing defeat leaves them with a radical socialist nominee, an emptier bank account, and another must-win seat off the board.”

Heroic Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers on duty arresting illegal immigrants stumbled upon a 2-year-old wandering the streets in nothing but a dirty diaper and stopped what they were doing to rescue him, The Daily Wire has learned.
On July 13, ICE officers conducting a &#8220;routine enforcement operation&#8221; outside Nashville in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, an area with a large population of illegal immigrants, were stopped in their tracks when they saw a small child who was wandering alone in the road in a heavily soiled diaper and was almost struck by a passing vehicle, the agency said. It appeared that the young child had been roaming the streets for several hours without any adult supervision.
The ICE officers, some of whom are fathers, quickly took the child into safety.
Officer Michael Joyce, who is part of an ICE Nashville Fugitive Operations Team, said the young boy was standing in the middle of the parking lot when he arrived. The brave officer blocked traffic while his team called local police and located the child&#8217;s mother, who was asleep in a nearby apartment with the door wide-open.
She appeared to be unaware that her son had wandered off.
“Our officers are trained to respond to emergencies and protect the public, no matter the circumstances,” ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations New Orleans acting Field Office Director Scott Ladwig, whose office oversees operations in Tennessee, said in a statement.
“We’re grateful that our team was able to act quickly and help ensure this child’s safety,&#8221; Ladwig said. &#8220;Supporting our communities and working alongside local law enforcement is a responsibility we take seriously.&#8221;
The Murfreesboro Police Department returned the little boy to his mother, who told officers that it was the first time her child left their home alone, ICE said. No criminal charges were filed against the mother.
Officials also notified the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services.

The Democratic fundraising platform for nonprofits, ActBlue Charities, is processing donations for an organization that fought for the release of an illegal immigrant whose tale of being wrongly detained by federal agents imploded amid revelations of a violent domestic assault.
ActBlue Charities and ActBlue Express appear to be processing <a href="https://secure.actblue.com/donate/luchemos" target="_blank" rel="noopener">donations</a> for Cosecha, a group organizing anti-ICE protests across the country. Cosecha is listed as the sponsor on a <a href="https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/free-martin-soto?nowrapper=true&amp;referrer=&amp;source=" target="_blank" rel="noopener">petition</a> that received more than 12,000 signatures to &#8220;free Martin Soto.&#8221; The organization promoted the since-debunked narrative that Soto, an illegal immigrant, was &#8220;kidnapped by ICE while getting diapers.&#8221;
&#8220;In 2026, our fight is urgent. The attacks are louder. The systems of detention, deportation, and exploitation are more violent. But so is our resistance,&#8221; the fundraising page reads.
Soto, 31, became the leader of the hunger strike that began at the end of May in ICE&#8217;s Delaney Hall detention center in Newark. ICE picked Soto up the next day from the Hudson County Correctional Center, federal law enforcement sources said.

During the alleged assault, Soto “purposely” caused “bodily injury” to an unnamed female victim “specifically by using his hands, both opened and closed to strike” her “in her face, causing minor scratches and cuts to her face and neck,” according to the police report.
Soto then “placed a hand over” her “mouth so she could not scream for help,” the report stated.
The Daily Wire could not immediately confirm the identity of the assault victim.
When a donor gives to an organization like Cosecha, ActBlue Charities takes the donation as the &#8220;merchant&#8221; before giving the donation to the nonprofit group, which pays the Democratic fundraising arm a processing fee. ActBlue Charities exploits a tax &#8220;loophole&#8221; that allows it to move donations without publicly disclosing them, <a href="https://capitalresearch.org/article/actblue-acts-out/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to Capital Research Center.
&#8220;Every year both of ActBlue’s nonprofit wings report spending zero, or nearly zero, dollars on charitable grantmaking despite taking in millions of dollars from donors for the explicit purpose of regranting it to other organizations,&#8221; Parker Thayer, an investigative researcher for Capital Research Center, wrote in April. &#8220;They do this by abusing a loophole in the tax code which allows them to list the donations as a liability in escrow rather than a grant since, they claim, they are merely processing a payment, not making a grant.&#8221;
ActBlue Charities and Civics reported a combined $8.6 million in “Escrow or custodial account liability” in 2024 as ActBlue Charities disclosed $57,500 in grants to only two organizations, according to Thayer.
&#8220;This allows ActBlue to avoid disclosing the names of the vast majority of the organizations it is giving money to, even though donor-advised funds, which do functionally the same thing, have to disclose all of the money they disburse as a grant,&#8221; Thayer added.
ActBlue did not respond to a request for comment.
In its petition to free Soto from ICE detention, Cosecha wrote that the Peruvian national &#8220;does not need to be in prison to pursue his immigration case,&#8221; adding that &#8220;Martin needs to be outside, with his wife and children.&#8221;
Soto&#8217;s wife, Gabriela, championed her husband&#8217;s sob story and led protests outside Delaney Hall during the hunger strike. She maintained that ICE &#8220;abducted&#8221; her husband who she said &#8220;committed no harm.&#8221;
She also launched a GoFundMe page for her husband that has raised more than $67,000.
In a conversation with The Daily Wire, Gabriela claimed she was &#8220;not aware&#8221; of the police report. When asked to review the contents of the report, she confirmed that it was her husband&#8217;s information, but pushed back on its allegations.
&#8220;My husband will NEVER do nothing to harm his family or his marriage. I know exactly where he was and what he does and who he talks too [sic],&#8221; she wrote in an Instagram message.
&#8220;My husband never got arrested by Kearny PD he left the house on February 1 at 530pm. I have messages and locations and everything for proof from that afternoon. And I have a call from Delaney Hall at 1030 ish at night when he called me,&#8221; she added.

“This is the pattern: a sympathetic claim built to go viral, while the facts sit unread in a file. Delaney Hall was inspected and cleared, its officers branded jailers of the innocent on stories that collapse the moment you check the record,&#8221; Scott Mechkowski, a visiting fellow for deportation studies at the Oversight Project, recently told The Daily Wire.
Gabriela Soto maintained that on February 1 she &#8220;suddenly got a phone call from a number listed as ‘prison/jail'&#8221; shortly after &#8220;Martin stepped out to get diapers&#8221; for the couple&#8217;s 11-month-old son.
At that time, her husband was still in local custody after having been arrested for the domestic incident by local police in Kearny.
“My heart dropped,” she <a href="https://truthout.org/articles/ice-kidnapped-my-husband-on-his-way-to-buy-diapers-for-our-infant-son/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a> in a column published in June. “When I answered, I was terrified about what had happened. As soon as the call ended, I raced over to Delaney Hall to get some answers.&#8221;
&#8220;A guard there told me Martin was in ‘good hands’ and once he was processed, he would be able to see me during visiting hours. I was relieved to hear he was safe, but when I started hearing about the conditions inside Delaney — rotten food, medical neglect, and more — I began to doubt the guard’s words,&#8221; she wrote.
Cosecha did not respond to a request for comment.
Soto&#8217;s hunger strike carried on for weeks as detainees refused the facility&#8217;s meals while filling up on commissary snacks, including sushi and clams, to protest what they called poor conditions inside the detention center, The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/exclusive-delaney-hall-detainees-on-hunger-strike-are-downing-clams-and-sushi" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.

A previously deported illegal immigrant is accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl at an Idaho park, The Daily Wire has learned.
Authorities say 29-year-old Jose Lozano-Flores watched the girl while she was paddle boarding at Freedom Park in Star, Idaho, before grabbing her and forcing her into nearby woods on the evening of July 22.
The illegal immigrant threatened to take the girl to Mexico if she spoke up about the attack, <a href="https://www.facebook.com/Idahonews6/videos/1587136099757616/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to Idaho News 6.
The Ada County Sheriff&#8217;s Office and Star Police located and arrested Lozano-Flores the following day at Quinn&#8217;s Pond in Boise, where they found the victim with him inside his vehicle before reuniting her with her family.
The suspect was later taken to the Ada County Jail and charged with felony lewd conduct with a child under 16, felony kidnapping in the first degree, and misdemeanor resisting and obstructing.
Authorities said that the victim didn&#8217;t know Lozano-Flores before he attacked her.
Citing &#8220;the sensitive nature of this case,&#8221; authorities didn&#8217;t provide any additional details about the incident, which was reportedly caught on surveillance video.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is now urging local police to keep Lozano-Flores off the streets by working with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
&#8220;This criminal illegal alien is accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a teenage girl in Idaho,&#8221; Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Lauren Bis said in a statement shared with The Daily Wire Monday.
&#8220;ICE will work with our partners in Idaho to ensure that he is not released from jail and is never loose in American communities again. When state politicians cooperate with us, we are able to keep criminals out of American neighborhoods,&#8221; Bis added.
Lozano-Flores first entered the United States in 2023, when he crossed the border illegally into New Mexico, DHS said. Border Patrol agents swiftly took him into custody before he agreed to be turned back to Mexico.
The Mexican national then crossed the border illegally for a second time at an unknown date and successfully evaded authorities, according to DHS.

Previously-Deported Illegal Immigrant Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Teen Girl At A Park

A nonpartisan group launched an effort to have a judge who helped an illegal immigrant evade capture by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) disbarred, The Daily Wire has learned.
The Center to Advance Security in America (CASA) filed a complaint with the Wisconsin Office of Lawyer Regulation on Monday, formally requesting former Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan&#8217;s disbarment.
A jury found Dugan guilty of felony obstruction in December after she diverted ICE officers while moving an illegal immigrant with a rap sheet through a &#8220;jury door&#8221; away from them in April 2025.
When the agents showed up to the courthouse, Dugan became &#8220;visibly angry&#8221; and called the situation &#8220;absurd,&#8221; authorities said.
She then directed the officers to the chief judge’s chambers before instructing Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, who was charged in Milwaukee with three counts of battery, domestic abuse, and infliction of physical pain or injury, to exit through the “jury door” into a nonpublic area of the courthouse.
The ICE officers later found Flores-Ruiz outside the building before engaging in a foot chase with him. The officers eventually caught up to the illegal immigrant and made the arrest.
In its formal complaint to the Wisconsin Office of Lawyer Regulation, CASA argued that Dugan &#8220;shockingly&#8221; hasn&#8217;t &#8220;been remorseful for her actions.&#8221;
&#8220;Dugan has spoken before media outlets defending her actions, claiming no wrongdoing, and asserting that her internal sense of justice should prevail. Dugan claims that the only reason she is no longer a Judge is because of &#8216;Republicans,'&#8221; Curtis Schube, CASA director of research and policy, wrote to state officials in a letter on Monday.
During her sentencing hearing earlier this month, Dugan said she hopes to return to public service one day, <a href="https://urbanmilwaukee.com/2026/07/08/dugan-sentenced-to-5000-fine-will-appeal-conviction/?utm_source=chatgpt.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to local reports. CASA hopes to ensure she never has the chance to return to the bench.
&#8220;If anything, her desire to return to public service should make the Office of Lawyer Regulation take this action more seriously because her stated intentions seem to demonstrate that she still does not understand the severity of her actions. The Office of Lawyer Regulation should protect the public by disciplining Dugan,&#8221; Schube wrote.
&#8220;Due to the seriousness of the crime for which Dugan was convicted and its relation to her position as a trusted state judge and as a lawyer, the Wisconsin State Bar should impose the harshest possible disciplinary action, including disbarment, on Hannah C. Dugan,&#8221; he added.
Although federal guidelines recommended a sentence between 15 and 21 months in prison in Dugan’s case, she ended up being spared of any prison time. Dugan was instead ordered to pay a $5,000 fine.
Dugan&#8217;s lawyer didn&#8217;t immediately respond to a request for comment.
