The Department of Homeland Security claimed on Monday that Hilton Hotels had launched a &#8220;coordinated campaign&#8221; to refuse service to federal agents working with DHS and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis.
DHS shared screenshots via X that showed emails canceling hotel reservations for DHS law enforcement and ICE agents, along with an explanation detailing the hotel chain&#8217;s policy with regard to any future reservations.

&#8220;After further investigation online, we have found information about immigration work connected with your name and we will be canceling your upcoming reservation,&#8221; one read. &#8220;You should see a proper cancellation email in your inbox shortly from Hilton.&#8221;
The second screenshot gave more detail, showing that the action was not a one-time cancellation, but a policy position adopted by the hotel.

If you are with DHS or immigration, let us know as we will have to cancel your reservation.&#8221;
&#8220;Please pass this info to your coworkers that we are not allowing any immigration agents to house on our property,&#8221; the email concluded. &#8220;Reply at your earliest convenience.&#8221;
Hilton responded to the story, saying in part that the &#8220;hotel is independently owned and operated, and the actions referenced are not reflective of Hilton values. We are investigating this matter with this individual hotel&#8230;&#8221;

BOSTON—The Daily Wire joined U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Acting Director Todd Lyons and his agents in Greater Boston as they hunted down criminal illegal aliens.
The operation comes as President Donald Trump marks his first 100 days in office, and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/homan-does-indeed-bring-hell-to-boston-much-more-to-do-but-it-will-be-done" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Border Czar Tom Homan</a> vows to “go to Boston and bring hell with me” in an effort to arrest illegal aliens who have sexually assaulted children.
“We did more arrests in these 100 days than the previous administration did last year,” Lyons told The Daily Wire in his first interview.

Lyons became the acting director of ICE in March after five years as Boston Field Office Director. He said morale is at an all-time high following the Trump administration giving the support needed to remove illegal aliens.
ICE is focused on deporting the “worst of the worst” that the Biden administration ignored, like violent criminal illegal aliens or those who have been deported before.
“It’s the worst crime in the world when you sexually assault a child,” <a href="https://x.com/KassyAkiva/status/1916861488616133083" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Homan said</a> in a White House press briefing on Monday. “That’s why I made a statement that one time I was going to go to Boston and bring hell with me.”

During the ride-along on Friday, ICE arrested 55-year-old Miguel Angel Chavez, who was convicted on two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 and deported in 2013. Chavez, a citizen of El Salvador, illegally re-entered the United States at an unknown place and time following his first deportation.
The second arrestee during the mission was 69-year-old Jose Lazaro Ayala, who illegally entered the country undetected and was convicted in September of leaving the scene of an accident involving an injured person or death. Ayala is pending removal to El Salvador, according to ICE.
“These aren’t the people you want in your neighborhood,” Lyons said. “These arrests right here show what we’ve done these first 100 days and what Secretary Noem and President Trump have been really pushing for: that ICE gets the worst of the worst.”
ICE was unable to target three other criminal illegal aliens in the mission, possibly because poor weather kept them from going to their outdoor jobs.

The Daily Wire witnessed firsthand the challenges ICE is facing in <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/tom-homan-biden-first-president-to-intentionally-leave-border-unsecured" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sanctuary jurisdictions</a> during the ride-along. According to Lyons, migrants are attracted to places like Massachusetts because of its generous social service benefits. Numerous sanctuary cities make deportations more difficult by often refusing to cooperate with ICE.
“One of the big difficulties operating in our sanctuary jurisdiction is that these are actual public safety threats,” he said. “A jail, a police department, a sheriff’s department, and state police have deemed these individuals a public safety threat and locked them up. Yet instead of working with the federal government, they decide to release them back on the street.”
Lyons said that in sanctuary jurisdictions, agents have to work harder to surveil targets and gather information about them to plan arrests.
“For these two today, anywhere between 40 to 80 hours could have been put in just on surveillance in research into these crimes, because, number one, there are ghosts,” he said.
“The state doesn’t provide us driver’s license data, registration data. So really, the men and women of ICE have to go and create these cases on their own and then get out there and do surveillance and try to get court and police records.”

By not working with ICE, sanctuary cities increase the number of deportations, according to Lyons. Instead of simply picking up criminal illegal aliens at jails, ICE is forced to track them down at their workplaces or in their neighborhoods. This often results in other illegal aliens — violent criminals or not — being arrested as well.

Lyons credited ICE’s recent success to Trump’s whole-of-government approach, which pairs ICE with agents from other federal agencies, including the FBI, DEA, IRS, Diplomatic Security Service, and others.
“With no doubt, ICE is helping the president establish his goals and his pledges that he made during the campaign, which was to get the worst of the worst outside of our communities, and I think this first hundred days have been a great success,” Lyons said.

While ICE officers are working through Christmas to fulfill President Donald Trump&#8217;s campaign promise and keep Americans safe, those who serve have seen a massive spike in attacks.
As <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/policy/immigration/3901817/assaults-against-ice-up/">highlighted</a> by The Washington Examiner, there were a reported 238 assaults on ICE officers from January 21–November 21, 2025, compared with 19 in the same period of 2024. The spike indicates a stunning 1,153% increase.
Despite the heightened attacks against ICE, Democrat leaders have largely continued to villainize officers and make their work conditions increasingly dangerous.

Since President Donald Trump commenced his mass deportation effort, anti-ICE activists have increasingly attacked federal authorities who are making the campaign promise a reality.
ICE officers have faced a more than 1,150% increase in assaults and an 8,000% surge in death threats, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
One of the most egregious examples was perpetrated by the first alleged <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-admin-hits-antifa-with-very-first-terrorism-charges-in-anti-ice-attack">Antifa members</a> to face terrorism charges for shooting up an ICE detention center in Alvarado, Texas.
Eleven militants allegedly lured officers out of the facility by setting off fireworks on July 4 before ambushing them with gunfire, resulting in the injury of one local police officer.
One of the suspects, former Marine Corps Reservist Benjamin Hanil Song, was on the run for a week before authorities caught him.
In nearby Dallas, Joshua Jahn, 29, opened fire from a rooftop hoping to kill ICE officers, but ended up <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/heres-what-we-know-about-ice-shooter-joshua-jahn">killing two detainees</a>. Jahn turned the gun on himself and died at the scene.
Jahn left bullet casings engraved with the phrase “ANTI-ICE” that revealed the “ideological motive” behind the attack, according to the FBI.

Jahn “conducted multiple searches of ballistics and the &#8216;Charlie Kirk Shot Video'&#8221; in the days leading up to the shooting, according to the FBI. He also left a chilling note that read: &#8220;Hopefully this will give ICE agents real terror, to think, ‘is there a sniper with AP rounds on that roof?'&#8221;

The shooter also used apps that expose ICE agents&#8217; locations and downloaded a list of Homeland Security facilities, the FBI said.
Far-left Illinois congressional candidate Kat Abughazaleh, 26, was indicted in October after she tried to block an ICE vehicle outside the agency&#8217;s facility in Broadview, Illinois, as seen in a video posted to her social media.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested more “worst of the worst” illegal aliens this week as Americans prepare to celebrate Christmas.
Those arrested on Monday included illegals convicted of sex crimes, human trafficking, and assault. The arrests come as the Trump administration is looking to increase deportations before Christmas and offering a $3,000 stipend and free flight home for those who choose to self-deport.
“This Christmas season, Americans can rejoice that these criminal illegal aliens are off their streets,” Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told The Daily Wire. “Just yesterday, ICE arrested convicted sex abusers, violent assailants, and human traffickers. Our ICE law enforcement delivered the best gift for all Americans this year: safer neighborhoods.”

Over the past two weeks, ICE arrested over 1,000 illegal aliens while <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/12/22/us-news/ice-rounds-up-over-1000-illegal-immigrants-during-two-week-operation-to-honor-laken-riley/">conducting</a> an operation in honor of Laken Riley, the 22-year-old nursing student who was murdered while out on a job by an illegal alien from Venezuela. The arrests were conducted under the authorization of the Laken Riley Act, which was signed by President Donald Trump in January. The law requires federal officials to arrest non-citizens accused of violent and theft-related crimes in the United States.
“We can never bring Laken back, but we can do everything in our power to bring these heinous criminals to justice. I am so proud of what our brave men and women of ICE have done to remove these criminals from America’s streets,” said Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

Immigration courts are facing a surge in no-shows, leading judges to issue more deportation orders.
In fiscal year 2025, which ended in September, immigration judges across the country issued more than 310,000 deportation orders for migrants who were absent from their hearings, <a href="https://www.justice.gov/eoir/media/1344881/dl?inline" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to Department of Justice data. There were roughly 223,000 deportation orders issued &#8220;in absentia&#8221; the year before that, 160,000 in fiscal year 2023, 62,000 in fiscal year 2022, and 8,000 in fiscal year 2021.
The drop in court appearances can be largely attributed to President Donald Trump&#8217;s reversal of a key Biden-era policy that instructed immigration judges to dismiss or terminate thousands of cases, which effectively allowed more than 700,000 illegal immigrants to stay in the country without any status, Andrew Arthur, resident law and policy fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies, told The Daily Wire. It also ties back to the millions of illegal border crossers that the Biden administration released into the country, who never applied for immigration status, according to Arthur.
&#8220;There’s no reason to go to immigration court if you can’t give the immigration judge any legitimate reason to allow you to stay, and in hundreds of thousands of cases last year, respondents didn’t,&#8221; Arthur said.

&#8220;Of course, DHS under Trump II has also been arresting certain respondents when they appear for their removal proceedings, which has likely given countless respondents plenty of incentive to skip court,&#8221; Arthur said.
&#8220;Again, however, those aliens are entitled to the process they are due, and the government will ensure they receive it — they might just be detained throughout that process,&#8221; he said, adding, &#8220;Given the fact, as noted, that the INA [Immigration and Nationality Act] required most of them to be detained to begin with, they can hardly complain when DHS subsequently takes them into custody and gives them due process while in detention.&#8221;

A Wisconsin judge who was suspended earlier this year was convicted Thursday of obstructing Immigration and Customs Enforcement  (ICE) agents during an attempted arrest at a Milwaukee courthouse.
A jury found Hannah Dugan guilty of felony obstruction after officials said that she tried to help an illegal immigrant from Mexico evade immigration authorities back in April. She was found not guilty of a misdemeanor charge of concealing a wanted person. 
“We weren’t trying to make an example out of anyone. This was necessary to hold Judge Dugan accountable because of the actions she took,” <a href="https://www.jsonline.com/story/news/2025/12/18/milwaukee-county-judge-hannah-dugan-found-guilty-of-felony-obstruction/87675227007/">said</a> interim U.S. Attorney Brad Schimel. “There’s not a political aspect to it.”
“Some have sought to make this about a larger political battle. While this case is serious for all involved, it is ultimately about a single day – a single day – in a public courthouse,” he added. 
Dugan’s legal team plans to seek to overturn her conviction. Following her arrest, the Wisconsin Supreme Court suspended her from the bench while the case proceeded. She could face more than five years in prison at sentencing.
Federal investigators <a href="https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/25919655-1034-001-1-1/">identified</a> the man Dugan helped evade ICE as Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, who was charged in Milwaukee with three counts of battery, domestic abuse, and infliction of physical pain or injury. He had previously been deported in 2013.
According to the FBI, six members of an ICE task force arrived at the courthouse on April 18 to arrest Flores-Ruiz and agreed to wait until after his domestic abuse court appearance. Investigators said Dugan had been informed of the agents’ presence, became “visibly angry,” and called the situation “absurd,” according to witness interviews.

According to charging documents, Dugan directed the ICE arrest team to the chief judge’s chambers before returning to her courtroom and instructing Flores-Ruiz to exit through the “jury door” into a nonpublic area of the courthouse. ICE agents later tracked Flores-Ruiz outside the building and arrested him following a foot chase.
The Trump administration celebrated the verdict. 
“Former Wisconsin state judge Hannah Dugan betrayed her oath and the people she served when she obstructed federal law enforcement during an immigration enforcement operation,” <a href="https://x.com/DAGToddBlanche/status/2001860838907355509">said</a> Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche. “Today, a federal jury of her peers found her guilty and sent a clear message: the American people respect law and order. Nobody is above the law. This Department will not tolerate obstruction, will enforce federal immigration law, and will hold criminals to account &#8211; even those who wear robes.”

Authorities have arrested a fifth person in connection with a plot to bomb immigration agents on New Year’s Eve.
Law enforcement arrested Micah James Legnon in Louisiana on Saturday after messages tied him to alleged members of the radical leftist group Turtle Island Liberation Front, according to the <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/12/16/us-news/5th-arrest-made-in-turtle-island-liberation-front-nye-bombing-plot-idd-as-transgender-ex-marine/?utm_social_post_id=625058149&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_campaign=nypost&amp;utm_source=twitter&amp;utm_social_handle_id=17469289">New York Post</a>. Four alleged members of the front, described by authorities as anti-government and anti-capitalist, were <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/radical-leftist-group-accused-of-plotting-new-years-eve-bombings-also-had-plans-to-attack-ice">arrested</a> last week in connection with a plot to bomb five sites in Los Angeles and Orange County.
Legnon participated in chat groups under the monikers “Kateri TheWitch” and “DarkWitch She/Her.” Prosecutors produced messages that they said showed Legnon planned to bomb sites in New Orleans at the same time that bombs were set to go off in California.
Legnon “was previously a member of the Marines with training in combat.” A raid on Legnon’s home in Louisiana produced “sniper training manuals, SWAT training manuals, assault rifles, and multiple rounds of ammunition,” the criminal <a href="https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.lawd.215408/gov.uscourts.lawd.215408.1.1.pdf">complaint</a> unsealed on Tuesday said.
Legnon has been charged with one count of making threats in interstate commerce, according to <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/california-alleged-terror-plot-turtle-island-liberation-front-doj-fbi/">CBS News</a>.

Last week, authorities arrested Audrey Illeene Carroll, Zachary Aaron Page, Dante Gaffield, and Tina Lai in Lucerne Valley, California. All are alleged members of the Turtle Island Liberation Front and face charges of conspiracy and possession of a destructive device.
The four defendants allegedly plotted to bomb sites in California, in particular targeting Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Two of the group, Page and Carroll, allegedly discussed plans to bomb ICE vehicles during the months of January and February.
The foiled terror plot and arrests come as ICE agents have faced an 8,000% increase in death threats since President Donald Trump commenced his crackdown on illegal immigration. The Department of Homeland Security has also reported a roughly 1,100% jump in assaults against ICE agents.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) claimed during a Sunday interview that her son had been &#8220;pulled over&#8221; by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents after a trip to Target — but ICE has no record of any such stop.
As The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ilhan-omar-says-her-son-was-pulled-over-by-ice-agents">reported</a>, Omar told interviewer Esme Murphy — with local CBS News affiliate WCCO — that her son had been &#8220;pulled over&#8221; by immigration agents and that he&#8217;d only been released because he always carries his passport in case of just such a situation.
But as Newsmax reporter James Rosen said in a Monday evening X post, ICE has no record of Omar&#8217;s son being stopped.

Omar&#8217;s claim came on the heels of increased ICE activity in her home state of Minnesota as the Department of Homeland Security steps up efforts to detain and deport illegal aliens across the United States.
The Minnesota Democrat claims that the Somali immigrants in her community in particular are being targeted by President Donald Trump&#8217;s administration. She wrote a letter on Friday addressed to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and acting ICE Director Todd Lyons, demanding answers about ICE activities in her home state and claiming that they were driven by President Donald Trump’s “racist comments.”

“Constituents, advocates, and local officials have documented blatant racial profiling, an egregious level of unnecessary force, and activity that appears designed for social media rather than befitting a law enforcement agency,” she wrote in part. “I am demanding answers on behalf of my constituents whose constitutional rights are being violated on a daily basis.”
“It is clear to me that this surge came in direct response to Trump’s racist comments about Somali people, and about me in particular. Earlier this month, Trump called Somali immigrants ‘garbage’ and ranted that he does not want us in this country,” she added.
The surge in Minnesota follows the news that broke in previous weeks about a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/minnesotas-somali-welfare-fraud-taxpayer-cash-funneled-to-terrorist-group">massive fraud</a> scheme in which billions of taxpayer dollars have been funneled through non-profits into the pockets of wealthy executives and into the hands of Al-Qaida-linked Al Shabaab terrorists. The majority of those arrested and convicted thus far in the fraud investigation have been Somalis.

Omar&#8217;s interview comes just days after she <a href="https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/26375494-20251211-operation-metro-surge-letter/">wrote a letter</a> addressed to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and acting ICE Director Todd Lyons, demanding answers about ICE activities in her home state and claiming that they were driven by President Donald Trump&#8217;s &#8220;racist comments.&#8221;
&#8220;Constituents, advocates, and local officials have documented blatant racial profiling, an egregious level of unnecessary force, and activity that appears designed for social media rather than befitting a law enforcement agency,&#8221; she wrote in part. &#8220;I am demanding answers on behalf of my constituents whose constitutional rights are being violated on a daily basis.&#8221;

As Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem clashed with Democrat lawmakers on Thursday over the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) were continuing to arrest illegals convicted of horrific crimes.
Noem testified before the House Homeland Security Committee on Thursday, where she was heckled by anti-ICE protesters and questioned by lawmakers about security threats facing the United States. While she was being protested, ICE was picking up illegals convicted of sex crimes and other violent charges, DHS told The Daily Wire.
“Some of the disgusting animals arrested yesterday sexually abused children and disabled victims,” a Department of Homeland Security spokesman told The Daily Wire. “Sanctuary politicians protect these criminal illegal aliens and allow them to terrorize the citizens of this country. Under President Trump and Secretary Noem, we are prioritizing AMERICAN CITIZENS. We are getting the worst of the worst out of our neighborhoods and out of our country.”
According to DHS, those arrested included:

-Oswaldo Antonio Hollman, an illegal alien from El Salvador convicted of possession of child pornography in Laredo, Texas.
-Alonso Maciel Guadalupe, an illegal alien from Mexico convicted of manslaughter in El Paso County, Texas.

On Monday, DHS launched a new searchable “worst of the worst” website to showcase at least 10,000 illegal aliens nabbed as part of President Donald Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration.
“This new Worst of the Worst webpage allows every American to see for themselves the criminal illegal aliens that we are arresting, what crimes they committed, and what communities we removed them from. This is all about transparency and showing results,” Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said.
