Ousted CNN anchor Don Lemon embarked on a post-arrest press tour of sorts, joining late night host Jimmy Kimmel to complain about President Donald Trump&#8217;s administration and the arrest he claimed was proof of a campaign of &#8220;intimidation.&#8221;
Lemon joined Kimmel on Monday evening, and the ABC host outdid himself in his efforts to help Lemon paint himself as the victim in a grand scheme — orchestrated by President Trump&#8217;s Justice Department, of course — designed to &#8220;intimidate&#8221; Lemon and others like him into silence.
Kimmel opened the segment by first skipping over the video that appears to show Lemon discussing plans with protest organizers prior to entering the church and then repeatedly referring to Lemon as a &#8220;journalist&#8221; who just happened to be there to record whatever transpired.
Lemon repeated the same as if to reassure the audience that he was, in fact, acting solely as a journalist. &#8220;I&#8217;m not a protester,&#8221; he insisted.

The pair followed that by suggesting that the Justice Department had essentially crowd-sourced the decision to arrest Lemon, taking their cues from right-leaning social media accounts rather than the evidence — and complained that Lemon had been arrested without being offered the chance to quietly surrender himself to law enforcement.
They immediately shifted focus to the judges who&#8217;d <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/appeals-court-finds-probable-cause-to-charge-don-lemon-but-rejects-dojs-bid-to-force-arrest-warrant">declined to sign off</a> on a warrant to arrest Lemon, but ignored the fact that a grand jury had found probable cause to indict him, and at least one of the judges had agreed with their assessment.
Lemon went on to muddy the waters around the grand jury indictment by suggesting that prosecutors could write &#8220;whatever they want&#8221; in an indictment and would never face repercussions if it was not true.

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/don-lemon-claims-trump-will-go-around-a-judge-to-prosecute-him">Lemon said</a> in the days leading up to his arrest, he believed the Trump administration would &#8220;go around&#8221; a judge or possibly even &#8220;retrofit&#8221; laws in an effort to get him, declaring afterward that he was not concerned with the possibility that he could land behind bars, and saying that he planned to be even more outspoken in the days to come.
President Donald Trump, who was asked about the situation while aboard Air Force One over the weekend, made it clear that he did not like Lemon, but said that he was unaware of plans to have him arrested before they were carried out.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested an illegal immigrant accused of fraud who was just one week away from graduating the New Orleans Police Department academy, <a href="https://x.com/BillMelugin_/status/2018762909602721977?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to Fox News.
Larry Temah, 46, who hails from Cameroon, was hired by the New Orleans Police Department in June, the agency&#8217;s superintendent, Anne Kirkpatrick, said following his arrest last month.
The Department of Homeland Security slammed the department for not only hiring Temah, but also for arming him.
“This illegal alien from Cameroon, Larry Temah, is not only breaking the law with every step he takes in this country illegally, but the New Orleans Police Department hired him and issued him a firearm &#8211; what kind of law enforcement department gives criminal illegal aliens guns and badges?&#8221; the agency said in a statement to Fox News.
&#8220;It’s a FELONY for illegal aliens to even possess a firearm. Sanctuary cities like New Orleans ignore ICE detainers and are protecting illegal aliens at the expense of American citizens,&#8221; the agency said.
Temah entered the United States in 2015 using a visitor&#8217;s visa, the Department of Homeland Security told Fox News. After marrying an American citizen in 2016, he was granted conditional residency.
The federal government denied his application for permanent status in 2022, citing fraud. Temah failed to show for three separate hearings in immigration court, resulting in a judge issuing a deportation order.
Temah, however, didn&#8217;t comply with that order to leave the country, forcing ICE to hunt him down.
Kirkpatrick said last month that the police department had no information to suggest Temah was in the country illegally during his hiring process.
&#8220;There was nothing in the [personnel] packet that would have given us reason to believe that this person did not have legal status,&#8221; she said. &#8220;There is some question that may have developed later.&#8221;
Temah applied to become an officer in June 2025, <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/ice-detains-new-orleans-police-recruit-after-immigration-judge-signed-removal-order-following-his-hiring" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to Fox News. He also had a valid driver&#8217;s license and Social Security number, and passed the E-Verify check, which ensures workers are in the country legally and eligible to work.
Kirkpatrick said they learned of his deportation order on Dec. 5, which was after he applied for the role with the department.
&#8220;The order of removal occurred after we had already hired him,&#8221; she said.
She said that the NOPD had conducted standard criminal background checks, including a search through the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database, and found no criminal history.
Temah&#8217;s case isn&#8217;t the first involving ICE arresting an illegal immigrant cop.
In October, federal authorities nabbed Radule Bojovic, an illegal immigrant from Montenegro, who was working as a police officer for the Hanover Police Department in Illinois.
Bojovic overstayed a tourist visa that required him to leave the United States on March 31, 2015, the Department of Homeland Security <a href="https://www.dhs.gov/news/2025/10/16/governor-jb-pritzkers-illinois-illegal-alien-working-sworn-police-office-badge-gun" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> at the time of his arrest. A judge later granted Bojovic a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/judge-releases-illegal-immigrant-cop-from-ice-custody" target="_blank" rel="noopener">$2,500 immigration bond</a> and he has since <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/illegal-immigrant-cop-previously-nabbed-by-ice-returns-to-work-for-illinois-police-department">returned</a> to work with the Hanover Police Department.
The department hired Bojovic in January 2025 since he had a federal work permit and passed all background checks, they previously said.

Every federal immigration officer on the ground in Minneapolis will now have a body camera following two recent fatal shootings of anti-ICE agitators.
The decision comes after President Donald Trump replaced Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino with his border czar, Tom Homan, who took command of immigration operations in Minneapolis last week.
Homan&#8217;s arrival was sparked by the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti by a Border Patrol agent and came just weeks after an ICE agent fired fatal shots at Renee Good after she appeared to hit him with her car. It has also led to a more targeted approach for arrests, with agents prioritizing the worst criminals first.
The officer who shot Good recorded the interaction on his phone.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced the latest policy change following a conversation with Homan, acting ICE Director Todd Lyons, and Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott, she said in an X post on Monday.
&#8220;Effective immediately, we are deploying body cameras to every officer in the field in Minneapolis,&#8221; Noem said.
She added that the program &#8220;will be expanded nationwide&#8221; &#8220;as funding is available.&#8221;
&#8220;We will rapidly acquire and deploy body cameras to DHS law enforcement across the country,&#8221; she said.
&#8220;The most transparent administration in American history—thank you @POTUS Trump. Make America Safe Again,&#8221; she added.
When Daily Wire White House reporter Mary Margaret Olohan asked the president about Noem&#8217;s announcement, he didn&#8217;t appear to have prior knowledge of the decision.
Still, he said he supports it.
&#8220;It wasn&#8217;t my decision; I leave it to her. They generally tend to be good for law enforcement because people can&#8217;t lie about what&#8217;s happening,&#8221; Trump said during a signing ceremony in the Oval Office on Monday.
&#8220;If she wants to do the camera thing, that&#8217;s ok with me,&#8221; Trump said.
Body-worn cameras for federal immigration agents have become a centerpiece of Congress&#8217; latest battle to fund the Department of Homeland Security since the recent fatal shootings in Minneapolis.
Just days before Pretti was shot, footage originally published by The News Movement showed him kicking in the taillight of a vehicle driven by federal immigration officers in Minneapolis.
The video also showed Pretti spitting on an officer and raising his middle finger to the vehicle before one agent gets out of the vehicle and quickly wrestles him to the ground.
The agents eventually let him go, and he was reportedly left with a broken rib. Pretti appeared to have a gun in his waistband as he walked away.
“A week before Alex was gunned down in the street — despite posing no threat to anyone — he was violently assaulted by a group of ICE agents,” attorney Steve Schleicher, who represents Pretti’s family, told the <a href="https://www.startribune.com/bystander-video-reveals-confrontation-between-alex-pretti-and-federal-agents-11-days-before-killing/601572009" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Minnesota Star Tribune</a> after reviewing the footage.

Over the weekend, we learned about a very powerful, very rich cadre of people who think they have inordinate control over the direction of our nation&#8217;s politics.
I&#8217;m speaking, of course, about the Grammys.
This year’s Grammys were filled with our usual celebrity geniuses spouting their usual performative politics to the cheers of their fellow celebrities.
The reason I&#8217;m pointing this out is because if you ever wonder what the room is like where special people hash out what our culture ought to look like, it looks like the Grammys.
What makes the Grammys and so many of our award shows fascinating is that they are an inside look for the rest of the world of what these people actually sound like at dinner parties.
I know a lot of the people in Hollywood. I&#8217;ve spoken with many of them. Far too often, we see people patting themselves on the back for their performative version of the most extreme radical politics in our society.
That’s the reason we are so annoyed when it shows up on our television. When people tune into the Grammys or the Oscars or any other awards show, what they expect is a celebration of the culture that we all share, the music or films that we all enjoy.

Instead, what we usually get is a cocktail party punctuated by some people who share lifestyles holding up the trophy. These are the most protected, wealthy people in our society, and the people who share that lifestyle are people who tend to share their politics.
And they act as if we, the little people, are privileged because they are sharing their politics with us.
Sunday night at the Grammys, virtually every performer decided they were going to lead by ripping into Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Trump administration. 
Obviously, there are other things going on in the world, and sometimes that’s the focus. Just a year or two ago, virtually everyone at the Grammys said something about the supposed evils of the Israeli Defense Forces in the Gaza Strip.
Now, of course, the Iranian government has been mowing down protesters, perhaps by the tens of thousands.
Not one single word about that at the Grammys.
But lots of words for Immigration and Customs Enforcement doing its job in Minneapolis.
Bad Bunny, whose real name is apparently Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, and who was nominated for six Grammys, won an award for his album.
He’s the same guy who is supposed to perform at the Super Bowl, apparently wearing a dress, which is exactly what we all want.
(Because if you&#8217;re showing your nine-year-old son the Super Bowl, where men are men and athletic performance and grit and determination and heart are the keys to victory, what you really want is a dude gallivanting around in ladies&#8217; garments during halftime.)

Bad Bunny proceeded to rip into ICE, which is precisely what we need to hear from this human.
“Before I say thanks to God, I&#8217;m going to say ‘ICE out,” he declared to thunderous applause. “We&#8217;re not savages. We’re not animals. We&#8217;re not aliens. We are humans, and we are Americans. And also, I want to say to people I know it&#8217;s tough not to hate on these days. &#8230; The hate gets more powerful with more hate. The only thing that is more powerful than hate is love.”
Deep words. Love is more powerful than hate. That is deep verbiage. I can see why he is such an acclaimed songwriter and performer.
I love how celebrities really believe that they are Michael Scott in “The Office.” They think they can walk into the middle of a room and shout, “I declare bankruptcy,” and it is legally effective.
If you go into a room with all of your fellow celebrities protected by armed security outside, where every single human who comes into that arena has to have their background checked, you can sit there and tell the rest of America that no protection is available — for them.
Billie Eilish —whom I would guess not only has armed security but a palatial estate surrounded by a fence because she has stalker problems— said, “nobody is illegal on stolen land.”
By stolen land, I assume she means all of planet Earth, since populations have been moving since the beginning of recorded human history.
Billie Eilish does look significantly less unhappy since she started dating a dude. At least, she’s got that going for her.
Olivia Dean chimed in, “I guess I want to say I&#8217;m up here as a granddaughter of an immigrant, I wouldn&#8217;t be here.”
I should point out that a huge percentage of Americans have ancestors who came here at some point.
Oh, the bravery of these people. They all think alike. They all act as if they have similar lifestyles, and they are speaking to you, the little people, the people who don&#8217;t have armed security at your palatial estates or have people pay you millions upon millions of dollars to sing songs written by a large coterie of other people.
You need to hear their voices. You need to hear their words. These are the tastemakers. These are the people shaping the culture for our children.

You can&#8217;t just compare something to the Holocaust. Picking up individual illegal immigrants and sending them back to their home countries is not the same as an entire war infrastructure set up to systematically murder millions of people of a particular race.
America is not Nazi Germany. You know what you didn&#8217;t see in the middle of World War II? A bunch of artists getting up on red carpets, talking about how terrible the Nazis were — in Berlin.

And of course, we got Trevor Noah hosting the Grammys, where he was his usual smarmy, obnoxious self, ripping Nicki Minaj for the great sin of having gone to the White House to promote the Trump accounts, which are savings accounts being set up for American children. “She is still at the White House with Donald Trump discussing very important issues,” he mocked to cheers from the audience.
I love that all the people cheering when he mocks Nicki Minaj for “discussing serious issues” act as though they are discussing serious issues.
They sing songs that are overproduced in autotune, and then they go on stage and pretend they know something about policy.
Noah dropped what he thought was a joke about Epstein Island and Trump and suggested that the president had been to Epstein Island. Trump fired back, threatening to sue Trevor Noah.
Why is any of this really important? Because when you have all the cultural tastemakers who are all pushing the same politics, that is likely to seep out into the broader culture, and sometimes these politics can go viral and turn into a brain worm that eats the American body politic.
You saw this, for example, with the trans issue, pushed by every cultural arbiter in American society. For a decade, this was promoted as the way to decide whether a person was virtuous or not, whether they were willing to say that a boy could be a girl and a girl could be a boy. 
It does make a difference when the entire cultural apparatus mobilizes behind an issue.
But there is something else here that is also worthy of note. Celebrities have their own social circle that tends to mirror itself. It is, in fact, a hallway of mirrors. You&#8217;re not welcome in a lot of these social circles if you have different politics. You cannot succeed if you don’t mirror their politics.
The story of Hollywood in its most depraved form, writ small, would be the Diddy “White Parties.” That was Hollywood in its most depraved form, writ small. That was a microcosm of what Hollywood is. That was the most extreme version of what&#8217;s happening in that cultural milieu.
But we are supposed to be privileged to listen to what these kinds of people have to say.

While Democrats move to potentially trigger yet another government shutdown over the Trump&#8217;s administration insistence in allowing Immigration and Customs Enforcement to enforce federal immigration law, former CNN host Don Lemon says he &#8220;ain&#8217;t worried&#8221; that his connection to a church-disrupting protest could land him behind bars.
For those who don&#8217;t spend their Sunday mornings glued to the television — and their Sunday afternoons attempting to dig through a week&#8217;s worth of network and cable news media spin — The Daily Wire has compiled a short summary of what you may have missed.
Across multiple media outlets, the Trump administration&#8217;s continued efforts to apprehend and deport criminal illegal aliens are still front page, above-the-fold news. Flashpoints in areas facing major crackdowns — such as Minneapolis — have resulted in a series of viral narratives that all too often have beaten the truth to the punch.
On Sunday, a week after Alex Pretti was killed by Border Patrol agents in Minneapolis and just days after Lemon was arrested in connection with a protest at Cities Church, much of the commentary was focused on the Democrats in Congress and whether they would leverage the threat of another government shutdown against funding for the Department of Homeland Security — specifically: ICE.
On ABC&#8217;s &#8220;This Week,&#8221; House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries called for extensive reforms within the Department of Homeland Security — including a measure that requires federal agents to not wear masks despite exponential increases in assaults against federal agents and threats against them and their families.
Jeffries also called for <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/heres-how-democrats-could-cripple-ice-without-defunding-dhs">judicial warrants</a> to be required for immigration arrests — a move that, by most accounts, would cripple efforts to arrest and deport criminal illegal aliens in a timely fashion.
&#8220;There would be no more immigration arrests,” a source within Immigration and Customs Enforcement told The Daily Wire. “It’s the functional equivalent of getting a warrant before issuing a speeding ticket. It’s the entire reason why ‘administrative’ arrests exist in the first place. If every single illegal alien who is charged with ‘Entry without Inspection’ was treated like a criminal arrest then they would have, among other things, right to counsel provided by the United States would be impossible.”
Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) echoed that sentiment on CNN&#8217;s &#8220;State of the Union, telling CNN anchor Dana Bash, &#8220;Demanding judicial warrants is [Democrats&#8217;] sneaky way of basically neutering our ability to enforce any immigration laws.&#8221;

But Jeffries was adamant: &#8220;ICE agents should conduct themselves like every other law enforcement agency in the country as opposed to running around — masked thugs, in many instances unleashing brutality on law-abiding American citizens.&#8221;

Democrat operative-turned ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos also spoke with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche during Sunday&#8217;s broadcast, asking him to defend Don Lemon&#8217;s arrest. Stephanopoulos asked Blanche if perhaps the Justice Department was in the wrong by suggesting Lemon had crossed the line between reporting on the protest and becoming a part of it.
Blanche pushed back, saying that Lemon&#8217;s indictment was public and anyone who chose to do so could read the charges for themselves.
&#8220;Nobody in this country should feel comfortable storming into a church while it&#8217;s ongoing and disrupting that church service and thinking that we&#8217;re just going to stand by and let that happen,&#8221; Blanche added.

Lemon also took to the airwaves to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/don-lemon-aint-even-worried-about-getting-locked-up-after-arrest">address his arrest</a>, telling his audience that his arrest had only helped him to see things more clearly — and that he was only going to be more outspoken in the future.
&#8220;So I know that there are people who think like oh, you know, do this, and I’m going to be locked up or whatever. I ain’t worried about that. You heard the truth, and the truth shall make you free. I ain’t even worried about that. Like not. Don’t even think about it,&#8221; Lemon said.
CNN anchor Dana Bash pressed Blanche on Lemon&#8217;s arrest as well, asking whether it might have been done because Lemon and Trump have often been at odds rather than because Lemon had done anything that warranted such a response.
&#8220;Was it about trying to make an example out of somebody who the President has sparred with?&#8221; Bash asked.
&#8220;I don&#8217;t even know that the President has even ever thought of Don Lemon,&#8221; Blanche replied.
Trump, aboard Air Force One on Saturday, made it clear that he did not care for Lemon — but he also said that he&#8217;d had no advance knowledge that the former CNN host was going to be arrested.

On &#8220;Face the Nation,&#8221; CBS News anchor Margaret Brennan hosted a roundtable discussion with several mayors from around the United States to talk about the tensions between federal and local authorities with regard to immigration enforcement.
&#8220;Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt, a Republican, said that “mayors are certainly caught in a little bit of an impossible situation &#8230; When the federal government and federal law enforcement comes into your city, we are fully subservient to that in the eyes of the law, and we also believe in the rule of law. So, we get caught kind of in the middle of these tensions, and we need a federal government who will use discretion and restraint with that power.&#8221;

Ana Navarro suggested on Monday that President Donald Trump and his administration had effectively cooked the books in their efforts to arrest former CNN host Don Lemon in connection with a protest that disrupted a Minneapolis church service a week earlier.
Navarro and her cohosts on ABC&#8217;s midday talk show &#8220;The View&#8221; discussed Lemon&#8217;s arrest, and their conversation covered the entire spectrum, from Navarro and Sunny Hostin insisting that the case had no merit and would be dismissed to Whoopi Goldberg wringing her hands and warning that the Trump administration could arrest anyone the president didn&#8217;t like.
Navarro began by claiming that an appellate court&#8217;s refusal to compel a lower court judge to sign off on Lemon&#8217;s arrest warrant amounted to judges laughing the DOJ out of their courtrooms. She did not mention the fact that one of the judges concerned said that he agreed there was probable cause to arrest Lemon.
&#8220;So, they basically did it themselves,&#8221; she asserted. &#8220;Make no mistake about it. This was about gaslighting, this was about going against Don lemon and other journalists. By the way, all of whom happen to be black. Happy Black History Month. And I think it&#8217;s to send a chilling message to anybody who is covering facts.&#8221;

Hostin, also ignoring that fact that Lemon was indicted by a federal grand jury, claimed that the former CNN host was only acting as a journalist covering the protest as it unfolded — despite video appearing to show that he was privy to the plans prior to the group storming into the church while parishioners attempted to hold a worship service.
Cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin also defended Lemon, claiming that he had acted only as a journalist.

Goldberg hit the panic button, however, and fretted about how easy it might be for the Justice Department to arrest anyone if Lemon was fair game.
&#8220;Listen, what I said to you before, you see what&#8217;s happening, you know what&#8217;s happening. If it&#8217;s happening like this for someone who is out and clearly doing his job, what do you think will happen to us?&#8221;
Since the protest just over a week earlier, several disturbing reports have come out detailing the behavior of the protesters — who reportedly harassed and terrified members of the congregation — while inside the church.

The 2026 Grammy Awards were supposed to celebrate music. Instead, they became another stage for Hollywood’s favorite performance: moral superiority without consequences.
This year, celebrities like Billie Eilish, Teddy Swims, and Justin Bieber donned <a href="https://variety.com/2026/music/news/grammys-ice-out-pins-billie-eilish-kehlani-bon-iver-1236648441/">“ICE Out”</a> pins and used their acceptance speeches to condemn Immigration and Customs Enforcement and lecture Americans about justice, compassion, and humanity. From their gilded seats inside Crypto.com Arena, they urged unity and resistance all while remaining safely insulated from the real world consequences of the policies they champion.
That is the part no one on that stage ever acknowledges.
The celebrities grandstanding about immigration do not live in border communities. They do not compete for jobs with illegal labor. They do not deal with overwhelmed schools, strained hospitals, or rising crime. They do not have to explain to grieving families why their loved ones died because basic immigration enforcement was treated as immoral.
Where was the outrage from Hollywood when Laken Riley was murdered by an illegal immigrant? Where were the pins, speeches, and standing ovations then? Silence. Because acknowledging victims like her would complicate the narrative, Hollywood prefers slogans over substance.
When Billie Eilish declared that no one is illegal on stolen land, critics pointed out the obvious contradiction. She lives in a multimillion dollar estate guarded by private security. If land ownership is illegitimate, why is she not handing over the keys. Virtue is easy when it costs nothing.
Hollywood’s moral theater is not about helping people. It is about signaling status. Proving you belong to the correct side of elite opinion while never having to live with the fallout.
That is why the reaction to Nicki Minaj was so revealing.
Minaj did not wear a pin. She did not chant slogans. She did not follow the script. Instead, she attended the world premiere of Melania at the Kennedy Center, has worked alongside President Trump on Trump Accounts, and openly calls herself his number one fan. She chose independence over approval, and Hollywood is punishing her for it.
During the Grammys, <a href="https://apnews.com/article/article/trevor-noah-grammys-nicki-minaj-kendrick-lamar-79ee508f2e15ec56b2b4826b787b6913">host Trevor Noah turned Minaj into a punchline</a>, joking that she was at the White House with Donald Trump. The audience laughed not because it was clever but because it signaled who was acceptable to mock.

The hostility did not stop there. At a MusiCares gala, Billy Porter publicly dropped an<a href="https://www.complex.com/pop-culture/a/markelibert/billy-porter-slams-nicki-minaj-trump-support"> F bomb</a> when asked about Minaj’s political views, declaring shame on her and others like her. In Hollywood, tolerance ends where independent thought begins.
The message was clear. You are free to speak as long as you agree.
Nicki Minaj did not see the light because Hollywood showed her anything new. She saw the truth Americans have known for years. The entertainment industry demands conformity not compassion. Obedience not courage.
Real Americans are tired of being lectured by people who will never pay the price for the policies they promote. They are tired of selective outrage, empty slogans, and celebrities who cry injustice while living lives untouched by its consequences.
The Grammys did not expose ICE. They exposed Hollywood.
And the more celebrities shout, the clearer it becomes. Americans are not rejecting compassion. They are rejecting hypocrisy.

Former CNN anchor Don Lemon said that he &#8220;ain&#8217;t even worried&#8221; about the possibility that he could end up behind bars following his arrest in Los Angeles — and promised that he planned to be even more outspoken in the days to come.
Lemon, who was arrested in connection to a protest in Minneapolis that disrupted a Sunday morning church service, has maintained in the days since that he was only there in his capacity as an &#8220;independent journalist&#8221; to record what happened during the protest.

Lemon trailed off and then let out an exaggerated fake laugh before adding, in ominous tones, &#8220;Just wait. Just wait.&#8221;

Lemon was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/don-lemon-helped-protestors-keep-church-plans-under-wraps-blocked-congregants-from-leaving-indictment">arrested</a> after a grand jury found probable cause to indict him. The indictment stated in part that Lemon had &#8220;entered the church with the “first wave of agitators,” and &#8220;oppressed, threatened, and intimidated the Church’s congregants and pastors by physically occupying most of the main aisle and rows of chairs near the front of the Church, engaging in menacing and threatening behavior, chanting and yelling loudly at the pastor and congregants, and/or physically obstructing them as they attempted to exit and/or move about within the Church.&#8221;
President Trump weighed in on Lemon&#8217;s arrest while speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Saturday, saying that he had not had any advance knowledge that <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/abc-host-and-top-trump-official-spar-over-don-lemon-arrest">Lemon</a> was going to be arrested but making it clear that he was not a fan of the ousted CNN personality.
&#8220;He’s a sleazebag! Everyone’s known that. He’s a washed up,” Trump said. “Probably from his standpoint, the best thing that could happen to him. He had no viewers. He was a failed host. And now, he’s in the news. I didn’t know anything about it.&#8221;

ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos did his best to run cover for ousted CNN anchor Don Lemon — but Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche quickly pushed back.
Stephanopoulos spoke with Blanche during Sunday morning&#8217;s broadcast of &#8220;This Week,&#8221; where they discussed the Justice Department&#8217;s move to arrest Lemon over his participation in a protest that disrupted a Sunday service at a Minneapolis church days earlier. Despite video that appears to show him conferring with the protesters prior to their coordinated incursion, Lemon has insisted that he was simply acting as a journalist at the time and had nothing to do with the protest itself.

&#8220;Conveniently missing from what you just showed, George, is the appellate court and a judge on the appellate court who said just a few days later there was clearly probable cause — and it wasn&#8217;t even a close question!&#8221; Blanche shot back.
&#8220;And by the way, a grand jury, which is what our system has set up to determine whether probable cause exists, concluded that there was probable cause!&#8221; he continued. &#8220;That indictment is now public. Everybody in this country can pull it up and read for themselves and see what the grand jury found that Mr. Lemon did. I am not going to comment on the charges specifically because that&#8217;s not appropriate.&#8221;
Blanche went on to talk about the protest as a whole, arguing that disrupting a church service and attempting to intimidate those who were just there to worship was a violation of their First Amendment rights to practice religion without being harassed while doing so.
&#8220;We talk about the First Amendment right. You have a right of freedom of religion, which is just as important as any other right that we have!&#8221; he explained. &#8220;And George, I don&#8217;t know if you&#8217;ve watched the videos or read the indictment about what it&#8217;s alleged that Mr. Lemon did, but if anybody in this country thinks that that is quote, independent journalism, I would like to have a conversation with you.&#8221;
Blanche concluded by saying that Lemon was certainly entitled to hire an attorney and raise any defense he saw fit, but that protesters should not be allowed to feel comfortable disrupting church services and intimidating those who had just come to worship.

U.S. District Judge Fred Biery has ordered the release of Adrian Conejo Arias, an illegal alien who was apprehended by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis, and his five-year-old son Liam Conejo Ramos.
Biery, who was appointed by former President Bill Clinton, <a href="https://abc7ny.com/post/judge-orders-5-year-old-liam-conejo-ramos-dad-detained-minnesota-released-ice-detention-texas/18516884/">issued a ruling</a> on Saturday that focused almost entirely on the child — who was being held in a San Antonio detention center with his father, at his father&#8217;s request — and blamed President Donald Trump&#8217;s administration for leaving the five-year-old &#8220;traumatized.&#8221;
In his ruling, Biery suggested that Arias had only been swept up because ICE was attempting to meet specific &#8220;quotas&#8221; for deportation, adding, &#8220;the case has its genesis in the ill-conceived and incompetently-implemented government pursuit of daily deportation quotas, apparently even if it requires traumatizing children.&#8221;
He went on to accuse the Trump administration of taking actions against illegal aliens that were reminiscent of the actions taken by England, driving the American founders to revolt. &#8220;Apparent also is the government&#8217;s ignorance of an American historical document called the Declaration of Independence,&#8221; he wrote.
Judge Biery included one photo in his ruling — a photo of the child with his Spiderman backpack and blue knitted bunny hat — and punctuated that by quoting the New Testament: &#8220;Jesus said, &#8216;Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.'&#8221;
Biery&#8217;s ruling ordering the pair to be freed comes after they were visited by prominent Texas politicians like Reps. Joaquin Castro (D-TX) and Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), the latter of whom is running for the U.S. Senate.
Castro even went so far as to deliver the two back to Minnesota personally.

The two have been in the headlines since the day Arias was originally detained, when photos circulated of the little boy alone with ICE officers — prompting Democrats and media to quickly claimed that ICE was detaining a child and using him as bait to draw out his mother.
The Department of Homeland Security told a very different story, however, explaining that Arias had been in a vehicle with Liam when officers approached — but had left his son behind and fled on foot. Federal officers took custody of the boy then, reportedly taking him to McDonalds, while others followed and ultimately apprehended his father.
Since they were detained in San Antonio, protesters have surrounded the facility, claiming that Liam was &#8220;stolen from preschool&#8221; and demanding his release. Biery had issued a previous ruling stating that Arias and Ramos could not be deported.

Clinton-Appointed Judge Orders Illegal Released, Claims ICE ‘Traumatized’ His Son

President Donald Trump on Saturday drew a firm line for Democrat-led cities facing unrest: no federal help with protests or riots unless local leaders ask for it, and zero tolerance for attacks on federal property.
The statement follows unrest in blue cities opposing federal immigration enforcement, including events in Minneapolis, Los Angeles, and Eugene, Oregon, on Friday. Trump also pointed back to federal assistance during riots in Los Angeles at the end of the Biden administration in 2025.
Trump said he instructed Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem “that under no circumstances are we going to participate in various poorly run Democrat Cities with regard to their Protests and/or Riots unless, and until, they ask us for help.”
At the same time, he made clear that federal restraint would not apply to attacks on federal property. “We will, however, guard, and very powerfully so, any and all Federal Buildings that are being attacked by these highly paid Lunatics, Agitators, and Insurrectionists,” Trump wrote.
He further directed Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Border Patrol to respond forcefully in defending federal assets. “There will be no spitting in the faces of our Officers, there will be no punching or kicking the headlights of our cars, and there will be no rock or brick throwing at our vehicles, or at our Patriot Warriors,” Trump said, warning that those responsible would “suffer an equal, or more, consequence.”
Addressing the Eugene incident specifically, Trump wrote: “Last night in Eugene, Oregon, these criminals broke into a Federal Building, and did great damage, also scaring and harassing the hardworking employees. Local Police did nothing in order to stop it. We will not let that happen anymore!”
The Eugene Police Department released a statement on Friday saying activity at the Federal Building was declared a riot around 6 p.m. that evening after protesters breached entry points and entered the building, which houses civilian staff. Police said their presence was aimed at keeping “things de-escalated.”
Trump framed the broader policy as a reassertion of local responsibility. Protecting state and local property, as well as federal property, he argued, is primarily the obligation of state and local governments, with federal involvement serving as a backup only when requested.
He pointed to the Los Angeles riots one year earlier, writing that federal assistance there was decisive and that the police chief at the time told him, “We couldn’t have done it without the help of the Federal Government.”
Trump said federal aid remains available under clear conditions. “If Local Governments are unable to handle the Insurrectionists, Agitators, and Anarchists, we will immediately go to the location where such help is requested,” he wrote, adding that local leaders must first explicitly ask for assistance — and “use the word, ‘PLEASE.’”
The president also warned that attacks on federal property would be met with overwhelming force if necessary. “ICE, Border Patrol or, if necessary, our Military, will be extremely powerful and tough in the protection of our Federal Property,” Trump wrote. “We will not allow our Courthouses, Federal Buildings, or anything else under our protection, to be damaged in any way, shape, or form.”
Trump concluded by tying the posture directly to his electoral mandate, writing that he was elected on border control, national security, and “LAW AND ORDER — That’s what America wants, and that’s what America is getting!”
The warning highlights the administration&#8217;s new tack toward Democrat-led cities resisting federal immigration enforcement. While federal authorities will continue defending government property, Trump made clear that broader intervention will come only at the request of local leaders willing to acknowledge federal authority.
As protests continue and Democratic officials push back against ICE operations, the standoff sets up a familiar confrontation: cities asserting autonomy on immigration policy, and a White House warning that federal help is not an asset to be taken for granted.
