<p>Superstar Eva Mendes said she&#8217;s shifting &#8220;the narrative&#8221; about her career in Hollywood and said she &#8220;never quit acting&#8221; as she hit back at numerous headlines claiming otherwise.</p>
<p>The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/eva-mendes">48-year-old</a> actress said she didn&#8217;t &#8220;stop acting&#8221; or &#8220;quit acting&#8221; in a post she shared Friday on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/reel/CjadY8oPZhp/?igshid=Yjc4NjFjZGU%3D">Instagram.</a></p>
<p>&#8220;I never quit acting,&#8221; <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/eva-mendes-sparks-debate-after-saying-she-paused-social-media-when-daughter-told-her-she-was-on-the-phone-too-much">Mendes</a> captioned her post. &#8220;I wanted to be home with my babies and fortunately my other business ventures allowed me to do that more than acting would.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Also, I was not excited about the stereotypical roles being offered to me at the time,&#8221; she added. &#8220;Especially after working on the film LOST RIVER -that was a dream project. That&#8217;s a tough act to follow.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;What&#8217;s the point of this post?&#8221; Mendes continued. &#8220;To shift that narrative. I never quit.&#8221;</p>
