Hillary Clinton is in the midst of a Twitter meltdown over Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, taking charge of the “resistance” (remember, she’s their self-declared leader) and marshaling opposition to the president’s nominee around “women’s rights” and “reproductive rights” issues.
She started bright and early at just after 8 a.m. EST, perhaps after having her morning cup of highly caffeinated coffee, and just went from there, laying out the parameters of a Kavanaugh-created post-apocalyptic hellscape where women are forced to serve as Handmaids because they have to pay for their own birth control. Or something.
If Brett Kavanaugh becomes a Supreme Court justice, will he help gut or overturn Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion in America? Yes, of course he will.

A few weeks before Kavanaugh’s name appeared on President Trump’s short list for a new justice, Kavanaugh praised the dissent in the Roe v. Wade case and called former Supreme Court Chief Justice William Rehnquist his “hero,” noting that “he clearly wanted to overrule Roe.”

As a federal judge, Kavanaugh tried to prevent a young undocumented woman in government custody from exercising her right to an abortion.

Kavanaugh ruled to let CEOs decide to deny their employees insurance coverage for no co-pay birth control.

Anti-abortion groups have endorsed Kavanaugh, considering him a reliable vote to overturn Roe. His confirmation would be a victory for activists who want to end a woman’s right to make her own health decisions.

It’s remarkable that we have to keep repeating this, even in 2018: Women’s rights are human rights, and human rights are women’s rights.

Sure, sure.
She went on to claim that the right to have an abortion is akin to a central human right, and that Kavanaugh, who has stubbornly refused to admit how he would vote should Roe v. Wade be re-litigated in front of the Supreme Court, sent very clear signals that he’s part of a cabal of Republican legislators just itching to turn America into an oppressive theocracy where women are chained to beds and forced to become pregnant.
Okay, that’s an exaggeration. Or, at least, for people who’ve watched the hearings it is.
Strangely enough, there was one way that Clinton could have prevented Kavanaugh’s nomination — she could have won the 2016 presidential election, a victory which would have put her in full charge of appointing all the pro-abortion zealots to the United States Supreme Court that her pantsuit-clad heart desired.
And Twitter, responding to her meltdown, was quick to remind her.

You should have thought about this before deciding to ignore Wisconsin. Elections have consequences. https://t.co/DpJB1G6x8O

On Wednesday, Kavanaugh indicated that he considers “precedent” to be important, mimicking the coded language of pro-abortion members of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
