Heidi Klum said Thursday that she’s thinking about having more children at the age of 49.
The Victoria’s Secret model talked about her future family plans during an appearance on the “Jennifer Hudson Show,” Us Weekly reported. Klum mentioned that she’s been thinking about adding to her brood with current husband, German musician Tom Kaulitz, after four years of marriage.
“It depends what day it is, sometimes I’m here [for it], sometimes here [where I am not], you know?” Klum said on the show.
“I mean it’s a lot. I’ve done it four times. I breastfed eight months each time [with my four kids] and then I was pregnant again. Three times in a row. Again [my children are] 18, 17, 16, and then 13. Now I waited a long time, so maybe [yes].”
The “Project Runway” star became a mother when she and then-partner Flavio Briatore had daughter Leni in 2004. The pair broke up shortly after the baby’s birth.
Klum went on to marry performing artist Seal in 2005 and had three kids with him: Henry, 17, Johan, 16, and Lou, 13. They divorced in 2014. The supermodel then tied the knot in a private ceremony with Kaulitz in 2019.
Klum previously raved about her new husband’s adaptability to joining a blended family. “[Tom’s] amazing,” she told Us Weekly in January 2022.
“I’m sure it’s not easy to step into an immediate family, having all of a sudden four kids and teenagers. They were easier when they were younger, for sure. Every age comes with its challenges. … It’s beautiful. It’s fun. I mean, so far, so good.”
During her most recent talk show appearance, Klum discussed what it’s like now that her eldest child is in college and the others are teenagers.
“Because with four kids — well, now my oldest daughter moved to New York. She’s going to college in New York, which is so crazy. So, one room is already empty and dark — not empty she still has her things in there, but the light is off in that room,” she said, per ET Online.
“So, my other three, when they have friends over, it’s like a lot of kids,” she continued. “They run all over the house, and I don’t know where to go any more myself.”
