<p>Rep. Sarah McBride (D-DE), the first openly trans-identifying member of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/congress" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Congress</a>, was once again called &#8220;mister&#8221; — a move that elicited an irate response from a fellow Democrat.</p>
<p>It <a href="https://x.com/DC_Draino/status/1899548587660599656" target="_blank" rel="noopener">happened</a> Tuesday during a hearing of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Europe, when Chairman Keith Self (R-TX) called on McBride to speak.</p>
<p>&#8220;I now recognize the representative from Delaware, Mr. McBride,&#8221; Self said.</p>
<p>McBride responded, &#8220;Thank you, Madam chair.&#8221;</p>
<p>Before McBride could get much further, ranking member Bill Keating (D-MA) cut in and said, &#8220;Mr. Chairman, could you repeat your introduction again, please?&#8221;</p>
<p>Keating cited an <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trans-identifying-democrat-confronted-with-biological-reality-introduced-as-gentleman" target="_blank" rel="noopener">exchange</a> last month in which Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL), who was presiding over the House chamber at the time, recognized &#8220;the gentleman from Delaware, Mr. McBride&#8221; to deliver remarks.</p>
<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve set the standard on the floor of the House and I&#8217;m simply —&#8221; Self said.</p>
<p>Keating interjected and asked, &#8220;What is that standard, Mr. Chairman? Would you repeat what you just said when you introduced a duly-elected representative from the United States of America? Please!&#8221;</p>
<p>In reply, Self said, &#8220;I will: The representative from Delaware, Mr. McBride.&#8221;</p>
<p>Keating then accused Self of being out of order.</p>
<p>&#8220;Mr. Chairman, have you no decency? I&#8217;ve come to know you a little bit, but this is not decent,&#8221; Keating added.</p>
<p>When Self began to say that the hearing would continue, Keating again interrupted to shout, &#8220;You will not continue it with me unless you introduce a duly-elected representative the right way.&#8221;</p>
<p>After that, Self banged a gavel and announced the hearing was adjourned.</p>

<p>Self <a href="https://x.com/RepKeithSelf/status/1899551423517667808" target="_blank" rel="noopener">responded</a> to a clip of the confrontation on X by pulling a line from one of President Donald Trump&#8217;s executive <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/defending-women-from-gender-ideology-extremism-and-restoring-biological-truth-to-the-federal-government/#:~:text=Sec.%202.,in%20fundamental%20and%20incontrovertible%20reality." target="_blank" rel="noopener">orders</a>, saying, &#8220;It is the policy of the United States to recognize two sexes, male and female.&#8221;</p>
<p>Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) recently <a href="https://x.com/RepMTG/status/1896711722179641495" target="_blank" rel="noopener">declared</a> in a post on X that the House clerk &#8220;changed&#8221; Miller&#8217;s words in the Congressional Record to show Miller referring to McBride as &#8220;gentlewoman&#8221; and &#8220;Ms.&#8221; in the chamber last month when, in fact, that did not happen.</p>
<p>&#8220;McBride is a MAN!!! No one should change Rep Miller’s words!!! Are we not Republican controlled?????&#8221; Greene said.</p>
<p>Miller later <a href="https://x.com/RepMaryMiller/status/1897020708892676607" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> that the House clerk &#8220;rightfully corrected&#8221; her words.</p>
<p>&#8220;Let the record show that Tim &#8216;Sarah&#8217; McBride is, in fact, a MAN!&#8221; Miller said. &#8220;Thank you, [Greene], for standing alongside me in the fight to uphold biological reality!&#8221;</p>
