Over the weekend, actress Rosie O’Donnell decided to push the envelope one step farther in her hatred for President Trump, tweeting her support for a game site online in which the player can repeatedly push Trump off a cliff:
The site enables the player to move Trump closer and closer to the cliff before the chance to send him plunging downward. Once he has fallen, another image of Trump appears, allowing the player to repeat the process ad infinitum.
Of course, if the same idea had been propounded during the Obama Administration, there would have been substantial outcry from the Left, which couldn’t even handle a man at a rodeo wearing an Obama mask, but then the idea of murdering GOP presidents has been in vogue for some time, in far more graphic ways than an online game.
Remember Death of a President? It was a movie about the imagined assassination of then-President George W. Bush from 2006. It won an award at the Toronto Film Festival, and was lauded by Washington Post film critic Ann Hornaday this way:
Is it politically provocative agitprop or merely a cynical, exploitative stunt? Probably the latter, but one that has been performed with unusual dexterity. Structured like an installment of ‘Frontline,’ ‘DOAP’ often has the taut urgency of that PBS series …”
O’Donnell’s feud with Trump has been amply documented before. This is just one more descent into her own private ninth circle of Hell.
