Guess Which Famous Democrat Won’t Rule Out Running In 2020?

By  Hank Berrien

To paraphrase former President Barack Obama, the jaw of the political universe is long, but it bends toward the presidency.

Yes, just when he seemingly had been reduced to an irrelevant footnote of history after President Trump jettisoned the nuclear deal that he championed with all of his Israel-hating heart, former Secretary of State John Kerry indicated he might not nix a run for the presidency in 2020.

Speaking with “Face the Nation” anchor Margaret Brennan, who asked if he would run in 2020, Kerry would not consign such a fantasy to the garbage heap. Instead, he intoned, “Talking about 2020 right now is a total distraction and waste of time. What we need to do is focus on 2018. We need to win back the confidence of the country to move in a better direction, and to do it in sensible ways.” He warned, “We are in a moment of crisis for our country. The world is in a moment of crisis.”

As The Jerusalem Post reported last January, when Kerry met in London with a close associate of PA President Mahmoud Abbas, Hussein Agha, he said to tell Abbas to “hold on and be strong,” as President Trump would not be in office a long time, adding he was seriously considering running for president in 2020.
