On Tuesday, a former official of the Obama administration lauded President Biden’s success in foreign affairs, tweeting that his “poll numbers may have dipped domestically, but happily, foreign sentiment towards the US has rebounded sharply under his leadership.”

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX), who has been harshly critical of Biden’s chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan, where he left Americans behind and the Afghan natives at the mercy of the Taliban, retorted, “Did y’all poll Kabul?”

In late October, The Associated Press reported that the federal government would issue its first passport with an “X” gender marker for people who refused to identify themselves as male or female.

Crenshaw slammed the Biden administration and the State Department for their priorities, tweeting, “US issues first passport with ‘X’ gender marker. Great news for Americans still stuck in Afghanistan.”

On September 1, Crenshaw slammed President Biden’s State Department, headed by Secretary of State Antony Blinken, for their passivity regarding rescuing trapped Americans out of Afghanistan. Crenshaw wrote, “America: right now there is a private effort to get a plane of US citizens and allies out of Afghanistan. They need @SecBlinken to help get clearance to land in a nearby country. Biden’s State Department is refusing to actively assist. Their response: ‘just tell them to ask.’”

“There are Americans behind enemy lines and all Joe Biden and Secretary Blinken have to do is make a few phone calls. They won’t do it. They are refusing,” Crenshaw said about 12 hours laters, “Even worse, State Department agreed to give me the contact info for US Embassies in these countries so we could go point to point. That was 18 hours ago, I’ve followed up multiple times, and they’ve provided nothing.”

In late August, after news broke of the terrorist attack on the Kabul, Afghanistan, airport, which killed 13 U.S. service members and dozens of Afghans, Crenshaw, who lost his right eye to an IED blast in Afghanistan on his third deployment, blasted President Biden on Twitter, snapping, “Fix the mess you created. Stop running from it. We are still at war.”

Crenshaw added, “You didn’t ‘end the war,’ you just gave the enemy new advantage. Go on offense, establish superiority, and don’t leave until all our citizens and allies are safe.”

The Daily Wire reported in early November:

The Pentagon is admitting that since President Biden withdrew all U.S. troops from Afghanistan, several dozen immediate family members of U.S. service members are still trapped there. A memo issued by Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Colin Kahl asks U.S. military personnel and DoD civilians who have immediate family members requiring help to leave Afghanistan to contact his office, NBC News reports. The memo “instructs service members and Defense Department civilians to email a specific address with the subject ‘immediate family member,’” the network reports.

According to defense officials, several dozen immediate family members of U.S. service members are still in Afghanistan. “There are well over 100 extended family members still in Afghanistan, but it’s not clear how many of them want to leave the country,” NBC News states, citing the officials.
