<p>Law enforcement officials in <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/michigan" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Michigan</a> announced the creation of a new task force to combat a surge of burglaries in upscale neighbors by foreign gangs.</p>
<p>Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard announced the new task force, Southeast Michigan Collaborate Arrest Prosecute (SEM CAB), in partnership with multiple state and federal law enforcement agencies.</p>
<p>WXYZ <a href="https://www.wxyz.com/news/oakland-county-sheriff-to-announce-new-regional-task-force-to-combat-break-ins" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that transnational gangs operating across the U.S. are targeting &#8220;high-end homes, jewelry stores, and cars&#8221; and are using sophisticated methods to carry out their crimes.</p>
<p>Crew of approximately four to six &#8220;highly functional and well-trained&#8221; gang members have targeted approximately 40 homes in the area over the last couple of months.</p>
<p>&#8220;They reportedly use a jammer to overcome wireless security systems that depend on WiFi to operate,&#8221; the report said. &#8220;The crews are all dressed in black, with backpacks, and gloves. Bouchard says they are non-confrontational and their goal is to get in and out of the homes quickly.&#8221;</p>
<p>The gangs are &#8220;mostly from Latin America,&#8221; the report added, with Bouchard stressing that people should not use security systems that rely on WiFi.</p>

<p>The agencies involved in the new task force included the Auburn Hills Police Department, the Berkley Police Department, the Birmingham Police Department, the Bloomfield Hills Police Department, the Bloomfield Township Police Department, the Canton Police Department, the Chesterfield Township Police Department, the Farmington Hills Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the Franklin Police Department, the Grosse Pointe Farms Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations, the Keego Harbor Police Department, the Lake Angelus Police Department, as well as numerous others.</p>
