Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg may have spent the last two days patiently explaining Facebook’s complicated advertising and data management operations to out-of-touch, Luddite legislators, but the tech mogul has spent plenty of time before this week speaking Congress’ language.
The social media company isn’t relying on a series of successful committee meetings to make sure it has a future free from regulation, however. It’s relying on years of political donations from both its corporate coffers and its top officials to help it skate through a Congressional investigation.
