Federal law enforcement officials conducted a search of former Vice President Mike Pence’s think tank on Friday and reportedly did not find any more documents with classified markings.

The search of Pence’s Advancing American Freedom think tank by law enforcement officials comes after Pence’s legal team found classified documents at his Indiana home last month.

“The Department of Justice today completed a thorough and unrestricted search of Advancing American Freedom’s office for several hours and found no new documents with classified markings,” said Pence spokesman Devin O’Malley. “One binder with approximately three previously redacted documents was taken.”

“The vice president has consistently cooperated with appropriate authorities, has been fully transparent, and looks forward to the imminent conclusion of this matter,” O’Malley added.

After the classified documents were found at Pence’s home last month, the former vice president quickly turned them over to law enforcement officials.

The FBI showed up to former Vice President Mike Pence’s home in Indiana on Friday to search for classified materials after Pence’s legal team found classified documents inside the home last month. Pence’s decision to direct his legal team to search for any classified documents that might have accidentally ended up in his possession comes after classified documents were discovered in President Joe Biden’s office at the Penn Biden Center, a Washington think tank affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania.

Earlier this month, the FBI conducted a search of Pence’s home, where they found more classified material.

“Following the discovery and disclosure of a small number of potentially classified documents that had inadvertently been transported to his home in Indiana, Vice President Pence and his legal team have fully cooperated with the appropriate authorities and agreed to a consensual search of his residence that took place today,” O’Malley said in a statement at the time. “The Department of Justice completed a thorough and unrestricted search of five hours and removed one document with classified markings and six additional pages without such markings that were not discovered in the initial review by the vice president’s counsel.”

O’Malley added that Pence has instructed his legal team to continue cooperating with investigators and to be “fully transparent through the conclusion of this matter.”
