Nick Cannon, who has fathered a dozen kids with six different women, recently said he heard God tell him that he would be a “father of many” while discussing visions he’s had about his legacy.
During the 42-year-old actor’s appearance on Dr. Laura Berman’s podcast, Cannon said he’d had these “manifestations or even these visions” from God, making it clear the messages were only “in pieces” or “fragmented,” Fox News reported.
“I’ve never heard that clarity, but I heard that like, ‘Yo, you’re gonna be a father of many. There’s gonna be your great influence, your lineage, your offspring are gonna do great things,'” Cannon said. “Like I’ve had that, and I’m like that, ‘Oh well . . . the more the merrier.’ We roll the dice to the name and what you will build.”

“I had the vision that my name will be great as like, the Rockefeller name,” he added. “I’m careful even how I talk about that because I don’t like to say, like, I don’t use the term ‘legacy’ anymore. ‘Lineage’ I’m comfortable with.”
“Legacy is about what you do, not what you produce,” the rapper continued. “My children hopefully will have their own legacies; what did you mean to the world? If my legacy was to have children, that’s not impressive. I want my legacy to be someone who did for others, someone who built hospitals and education facilities, left literature and content to where you say, ‘Wow, he was a thinker. He was a doer. He cared about people.’ That’s your legacy. Now my lineage. That is my offspring.”
Cannon previously said the idea of marriage could still be in his future. He divorced pop star Mariah Carey after eight years of marriage in 2016.
“I’ve failed miserably so many times at monogamy and relationships,” the “Masked Singer” host said. “But God ain’t done with me. We’re gonna figure it out.”

Nick and Carey welcomed twins to the world in 2011. Since then, he’s fathered three kids with model Brittany Bell. He has twins with DJ Abby De La Rosa and a 7-month-old daughter. He also fathered a son, Zen, with singer Alyssa Scott, who died of brain cancer in December of 2021 at five months old. He and Scott also share a 6-month-old daughter. The TV host also fathered one child with Bre Tiesi and another with LaNisha Cole.
