<p>It&#8217;s Gay <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/pride-month" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pride month</a>, so that means everyone everywhere must weigh in.</p>
<p>The British Library, a research library in London that is one of the two largest libraries in the world along with the Library of Congress, just had to get in on the act.</p>
<p>“This #Pride month, let us tell you about the Māori wrasse (also known as the humphead wrasse),&#8221; the library wrote Friday on Twitter. &#8220;But its wondrous forehead isn’t the most magnificent thing about this fish – they are protogynous hermaphrodites, which means the females can later change sex to become males.&#8221;</p>
<p>The library went on. &#8220;Scientists are still learning about the factors that cause this transition, but fish typically change sex to fill a niche in their environment – a female wrasse named Cena at the @NatlAquarium transformed into supermale upon the passing of a male named Tang.&#8221;</p>
<p>And more.</p>
<p>“Fish sex is WILDLY inventive:</p>
<p>🐟Clownfish are protandrous hermaphrodites (M→F)<br />
🐟Coral gobies change sex repeatedly<br />
🐟Freshwater mangrove killifish reproduce by self-fertilisation<br />

<p>It didn&#8217;t take long for Twitterers to jump into the fray, prompting the library to delete its entire thread.</p>

<p>&#8220;When people can actually generate vagina, uterus, ovaries, and the endocrine system to support pregnancy, WITHOUT MEDICAL INTERVENTION AND SUPPORT, get back to us,&#8221; one user wrote, according to an archived <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20230602145936/https://twitter.com/britishlibrary/status/1664563203009912832" target="_blank" rel="noopener">file</a> on the Wayback Machine. &#8220;Until then, ponder how your example didn&#8217;t make the point you think it did.&#8221;</p>
<p>Another wrote simply: &#8220;Pride month is also a celebration of hermaphroditic fish.&#8221;</p>
<p>Wrote another: &#8220;Are you saying gay men are actually women because fish?&#8221;</p>
<p>And yet another: &#8220;And what kind of weird connection does Pride Month have to this fish now? Actually, I thought we were mammals.&#8221;</p>
<p>The library&#8217;s post came as a new poll found the vast majority of Americans, when asked if they agree with the statement “There are two genders, male and female,&#8221; said they agree.</p>
<p>The latest Rasmussen Reports <a href="https://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/biden_administration/most_americans_oppose_transgender_agenda" target="_blank" rel="noopener">survey</a> said 71% of likely voters believe that there are just two genders. In a surprise, 67% of Democrats agreed &#8212; only 14% of Democrats strongly disagree with the statement.</p>
<p>What&#8217;s more, 57% of all polled strongly disagree with those who say there are more than two genders, said the pollster.</p>
<p>The poll findings come in the midst of Pride month and as companies across the country, like Anheuser-Busch and Target, kowtow to the LGBTQ+ community. But that has backfired, as sales of Bud Light have tanked 30% since the beer company joined forces with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney. Target, which launched a line of gay pride clothing, has been hit with protests and boycotts and has lost $13 billion in market value over the past two weeks.</p>
