<p>Hollywood star Drew Barrymore got very emotional when she talked with Pamela Anderson about the struggles of raising kids in the public eye, something they &#8220;didn&#8217;t sign up for.&#8221;</p>
<p>During &#8220;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mThXKxRTtG8">The Drew Barrymore Show</a>&#8221; on Monday, the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/drew-barrymore-deeply-apologizes-for-offending-people-by-making-light-of-depp-heard-trial">host</a> was speaking with <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/pamela-anderson-has-surprising-answer-when-asked-how-she-feels-about-taking-steps-to-look-younger">55-year-old</a> actress about protecting her daughters Olive, 10, and Frankie, 8, with her ex-husband art advisor Will Kopelman from the paparazzi, <a href="https://pagesix.com/2023/02/14/drew-barrymore-breaks-down-crying-over-raising-kids-in-public-eye/">Page Six</a> reported.</p>
<p>&#8220;When I had my kids I was like …that changed everything,&#8221; Barrymore explained. &#8220;Don&#8217;t f*** with my kids. This is not okay. They didn&#8217;t sign up for this. It&#8217;s so hard.&#8221;</p>

<p>Barrymore then really broke down and started crying as Anderson tried to comfort her, agreeing that it was &#8220;hard&#8221; to have your kids be in a spotlight they never asked for.</p>
<p>The &#8220;Baywatch&#8221; star who has two adult sons, Brandon and Dylan, with ex-husband Tommy Lee, attempted to encourage the &#8220;Charlie&#8217;s Angels&#8221; star that she was &#8220;going to get through this.&#8221; She and Lee divorced in 1998.</p>
<p>Barrymore asked Anderson point blank how she managed to do it with her sons, &#8220;cause you raised these incredible boys.&#8221;</p>
<p>The &#8220;Barbwire&#8221; star pointed out that with the new &#8220;layer&#8221; of &#8220;social media&#8221; you have to be careful and explained that &#8220;you just have to make sure that women know how to make themselves safe. From very young girls.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Like, oh, I love having kids in this day and age,&#8221; Barrymore replied. &#8220;And maybe how our lives were the best things for setting us up as parents.&#8221;</p>
<p>Later, the celebrities discussed the challenges they have found in trying to find love again after their divorces, with someone who wasn&#8217;t their children&#8217;s father.</p>
<p>&#8220;That&#8217;s hard, isn&#8217;t it?&#8221; Anderson shared. &#8220;It&#8217;s just that connection you don&#8217;t have with anybody else.&#8221;</p>
<p>Barrymore spoke to <a href="https://people.com/tv/drew-barrymore-cripplingly-difficult-year-and-how-she-triumphed-cover-story/">People</a> magazine in December about fighting for her family after her split from Kopelman in 2016, calling the year that followed &#8220;cripplingly difficult&#8221; and more, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/numb-the-pain-drew-barrymore-shares-what-happened-that-made-her-decide-to-stop-drinking">reported</a>.  At the time of her divorce, their kids were 2 and 3 years old.</p>
<p>&#8220;It just took me down,&#8221; the actress shared. &#8220;There are times where you can look at someone you think is a strong person and see them so broken and go, &#8216;How the f*** did they get there?&#8217; And I was that person. I broke.&#8221;</p>
