President Donald Trump is “marching us towards fascism,” said television commentator Jehmu Greene during Tuesday’s CNN-hosted Democratic Leadership Debate. Greene is vying for the post of Democratic Party chair.
In a segment examining impeachment as a means for Democrats to challenge Trump, Greene described her party as “the last line of defense for our Constitution and for this country.”
Greene echoed the call to arms of far leftists across the country, calling for “resistance” to Trump, expressing support for “Americans… in the streets today resisting this president.”
“We will resist him in the House and in the Senate, and we will resist him in the streets,” said Greene.
CNN, MSNBC, and similarly left-wing and Democrat-aligned news media outlets have regularly hyped the terms “resist” and “resistance” in describing leftist agitation from Democrats following 2016’s presidential election.
The Revolutionary Communist Party (RevCom) has echoed this sentiment, calling on Americans to “resist fascism.”
