With the combined effort of Florida GOP Governor Ron DeSantis and the 1776 Project PAC to buttress them, conservative candidates across the state of Florida flipped many school boards from blue to red in Tuesday’s election.

DeSantis has crisscrossed the state stumping for conservative candidates in school board races while the 1776 Project PAC issued a list of their endorsed candidates. DeSantis endorsed 30 candidates; 25 of them won.

“We were able to win school board victories all across the state of Florida,” DeSantis said in the aftermath of the election. “Parents are sick of the nonsense when it comes to education.”

“We saw massive election victories all throughout the state of Florida tonight,” 1776 Project PAC founder Ryan Girdusky celebrated to Breitbart News. “It shows the desire of parents and residents across the country for some normalcy in our education system, and that means pushing against transgender ideology, critical race theory, critical gender ideology, and equity which destroys merit in education.”

The school boards of Sarasota County, Clay County, Duval County, Miami-Dade County, and Martin County all flipped to red.

In Sarasota County, the formerly 3-2 leftist majority became a 4-1 conservative majority when Bridget Ziegler, Robyn Marinelli, and Timothy Enos won their elections. All three were endorsed by the 1776 Project PAC and DeSantis. Marinelli said of DeSantis, “Him coming and endorsing us made the community aware of what was at stake. … I think it sends a very clear message that our community was tired of what was going on,” Fox 13 reported.

Ziegler added, “Governor DeSantis realizes how important education is. … I think Governor DeSantis shined a light on the school boards; the reality is that you have people across the country and in the state who are engaged and aware that we are fed up.”

In Clay County, which has five seats in the board, three conservative candidates endorsed by the 1776 Project triumphed: Erin Skipper, Michele Hanson, and Ashley Gilhousen.

In Duval County, Charlotte Joyce and April Carney, championed by DeSantis, won their seats as the board now has a conservative majority.

In Miami-Dade County, where the 1776 Project PAC and DeSantis endorsed Roberto Alonso and Monica Colucci, both candidates won. Breitbart noted that the victories made “it the largest school district in the country with a conservative-majority board.”

In Martin County, three 1776 Project PAC-endorsed candidates, Christina Li Roberts, Jennifer Russell, and Amy Pritchett, are now members of the board.
