Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen (NH) claimed, on CNN, that she has no idea who could be organizing the anti-Democratic “clean DACA” protesters that shouted down Nancy Pelosi on Monday and took to the streets outside Trump Tower in New York on Tuesday – and Shaheen appeared to suggest it could be Russia.
The bizarre interview began when CNN host Alisyn Camerota asked Shaheen, “Why, of all people, is [Pelosi] getting the backlash from DREAMers?”
“DREAMers and young people across the country are frustrated, and they want to go to college and join the military and get jobs and be Americans, which is what they are. This is the only country most of them have ever known,” Shaheen responded, as though the protests, which are clearly involve high level planning and execution are merely spontaneous expressions of frustration and not organized.
Camerota pressed, though, asking Shaheen whether she thought protesters targeted Pelosi for daring to work with President Donald Trump. It was then that Shaheen appeared to say a foreign force was meddling in American immigration politics.
“You’ll have to ask them. Who knows what stirred up this kind of animosity. What we know we know about the Russians and their interference in the 2016 elections is that they tried to increase divisions within this country,” Shaheen said.
Oh, yes, it’s definitely the Russians.
Like most Democratic legislators, Shaheen has, no doubt, benefited from billionaire George Soros’s money and influence. That means she might not appreciate knowing, as the Daily Wire reported yesterday, that Soros’s Open Society and Indivisible foundations are working aggressively with pro-immigrant organizations to organize and deploy anti-DACA protesters, in an effort to push Democrats into rejecting a “compromise” bill that would grant amnest to kids covered by DACA, while funding border sercurity and, possibly, a border wall.
Protesters at Pelosi’s hearing and at yesterday’s demonstration in New York, both chanted for a “clean DACA” bill, and Rep. Luis Guiterrez, arrested at Trump Tower protest, has routinely sought amnesty for all 11 million illegal immigrants living and working in the US.
