Bumble, which purports to a be a more “sophisticated” and “serious” dating app than its college co-ed counterpart, Tindr, won’t let people pose in their profile photos with guns because they don’t approve of the NRA or its stranglehold on politics. But this weekend, the same app announced that they’ll be giving generously to Planned Parenthood — which gives far more to political figures than the NRA — donating to the abortion provider every time Bumble users “swipe right” on a potential match.
If you “match” with Planned Parenthood, you can even choose to donate yourself.
The app announced their partnership on Saturday, and it’s not the first time Bumble has made a pact with the nation’s most murderous organization.

So much for Bumble’s commitment to “thinking of the children.” They may not want to admit that law-abiding American citizens are Constitutionally allowed to possess firearms, but they are absolutely willing to provide material support to an organization responsible for more than 300,000 deaths per year.
Frankly, Planned Parenthood is cutting into Bumble’s long-term survival plan: the more kids the organization “eliminates” the fewer matches they’ll be when the next Bumble generation comes of age.
It’s also a bit ironic: Bumble is supposed to be an app that fosters long-term relationships based on more than just one-night-stands and hookups. It’s marketed as a “quality” dating app whose users are interested in love, marriage, and, one might assume, a family. By partnering with Planned Parenthood, they seem to indicate they’re more interested in providing their users with an easy way out — or an easy way to be exploited by that dude who says he’s “totally” into the idea of making this more than just a one-time thing.
Part of the reason Bumble says it distanced itself from gun owners and the NRA was because it had no interest in making a political stand; that’s out the window now, too. There’s no way Bumble can be considered politically neutral if it’s cutting checks to the nation’s foremost trafficker of dead baby parts.
The Planned Parenthood partnership is part of a larger push on behalf of the abortion provider to foster relationships with major dating apps, including not just Bumble but the gay dating app Grindr, and the super-hookup app, OKCupid. Apparently, the goal is to have potential couples disclose their support for ending the life of a human child right away so that the pair can formulate a lasting relationship based on shared, horrifying political beliefs.
The good news for pro-lifers, at least, is that the app will directly connect people who aren’t interested in breeding. That might be a long-term win for those who don’t directly support abortion.
