Jeremy Boreing, co-founder of The Daily Wire, shared a sneak peek photo from the set of the upcoming DailyWire+ series based on the historical fantasy books “The Pendragon Cycle.”
The man behind Jeremy’s Razors is taking a temporary leave of absence from his role as co-CEO of The Daily Wire and all its affiliated entities to commit his full attention to the drama series, which is scheduled to begin production in September 2023.
“It’s a crazy thing… We wrote some words on a page in Nashville and now a crew is building a village in Hungary. #ThePendragonCycle,” Boreing shared on Instagram on Thursday, tagging filmmaker Ryan Whitaker. The accompanying photo showed the beginning stages of construction for the project’s set.

Several followers commented with their excitement for the show.
“Sooooo excited for this!” one person wrote.

“Can’t wait for this,” a third shared.
“The Pendragon Cycle” is a reimagining of the legend of King Arthur. The multi-award-winning books were written by Stephen R. Lawhead. Film and television rights to the series were purchased by DailyWire+ in November 2022.
“I have dreamt of bringing Stephen R. Lawhead’s books to the screen for twenty-five years,” Boreing said of spearheading the project. “Based on perhaps the most impactful myth in Western tradition, the Legend of King Arthur, this series helped shape my worldview since reading it as a teenager. Yet it is bittersweet, as to bring this project to screen means to leave the country and temporarily step down from my role as co-CEO of The Daily Wire.”
The DailyWire+ series will take inspiration from Lawhead’s first two books, which are set in Roman-occupied Britain. It will document a time when Christianity was beginning to spread in a place of spiritual and physical darkness. Barbarian invasions threaten the Island of the Mighty, but believers have the strength of their faith in God during this battle of good vs. evil.
The first season of “The Pendragon Cycle” will be filmed in Hungary and Italy in anticipation of a 2024 premiere. The series will be available exclusively on DailyWire+.
