Country music singer Zach Bryan is taking responsibility for the actions leading up to his arrest Thursday in Oklahoma.
The 27-year-old was arrested in Vinita and booked on an obstruction of investigation charge at the Craig County Jail at 6:42 p.m. and was later released on bail, per The New York Post. While specifics of the incident are unclear as of Friday morning, Bryan took to social media to apologize for his behavior.
“Today I had an incident with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Emotions got the best of me and I was out of line in the things I said,” the “Something in the Orange” singer shared with his 2.8 million Instagram followers.
“I support law enforcement as much as anyone can, I was just frustrated in the moment, it was unlike me and I apologize. They brought me to jail, and there is a mug shot of me floating around,” he continued. “Prayers we can all move on from this and prayers people know I’m just trying the best I can, I love you guys and I am truly sorry to the officers.”

Bryan is a U.S. Navy veteran from Oologah, Oklahoma, who got his start uploading songs to YouTube. He released a self-titled album last month, including his first number-one debut on the Billboard Hot 100, “I Remember Everything,” a collaboration with Kacey Musgraves.
In May 2023, Bryan won the Academy of Country Music Award for New Male Artist of the Year.
The singer previously said he “never meant” to become famous and was uncomfortable with his new status.
“I never in my life envisioned being a musician, ever. Period. No. And I was thinkin’ about it yesterday, how crazy my reality is now,” Bryan told Joe Rogan in August.
“Like coming back to Oklahoma and being around people, and people coming to get me in diners and being like ‘Take a picture with me.’ I’m like, ‘What is going on, man?’ There’s like 700 people hating me online and I’m like, bro, I didn’t mean to f***in’ do this. I’m sorry. It’s crazy.”
