On Friday, preternaturally shy Ann Coulter forgot her usual reticence after President Trump’s speech regarding Cuba, expressing her monumental disappointment with the man she had idolized, fulminating, “This jackass is really ticking me off.”
Coulter started by issuing a series of tweets blasting Trump for his lassitude in building a wall between the U.S. and Mexico:
Mediate contacted Coulter vis-à-vis her tirade, and she responded with this blast: “It was a whole series today! This jackass is really ticking me off. And today … Cuba? F*cking Cuba? If he’d run a campaign promising to do everything he’s done in the last 6 months, he’d never have been elected.”
Coulter has been angry with Trump for months about immigration; in December she tweeted this:
In May, Coulter slammed Trump over the budget deal, writing, “Not only is there no funding for a wall, but —thanks to the deft negotiating skills of House Speaker Paul Ryan — the bill actually prohibits money from being spent on a wall.”
By May 15, Coulter was near the breaking point: “I’m not very happy with what has happened so far. I guess we have to try to push him to keep his promises. But this isn’t North Korea, and if he doesn’t keep his promises I’m out. This is why we voted for him. I think everyone who voted for him knew his personality was grotesque, it was the issues.”
From In Trump We Trust to “sell-out” to “grotesque” to “jackass.”
There isn’t much wiggle room left.
