Conservative Jedediah Bila Leaves ‘The View’ After Hillary Clinton Interview

The lone conservative in a jungle of leftist women, Jedediah Bila, announced Monday that she would be leaving The View, and, according to reports, her departure may have something to do with Hillary Clinton.

Per Radar Online, Bila had just signed on for another year on the mid-morning chat show, and her departure was “sudden” and unexpected. A source close to the show told the New York Post, however, that while Bila “left of her own accord,” things had become uncomfortable for her “behind the scenes” following a group interview with Hillary Clinton.

Last Wednesday, Clinton appeared on The View to promote her book, What Happened, and although other hosts had tossed Clinton only softballs, Jedidiah asked the former Secretary of State a number of pointed questions about the book’s content: whether Clinton had considered that voters selected Donald Trump on the issues, and whether Clinton thought “hard feelings” among Democrats over beating Bernie Sanders had ultimately harmed her chances in the long run.

Bila was unfailingly polite, and appeared very interested in Clinton’s answers. Clinton, obviously a professional and coached to expect these exact queries, coolly answered the questions and moved on.

But while Clinton handled Bila’s questions like an adult, according to the Post, Bila’s producers didn’t.

“There was a lot of staff who were upset about how that interview was handled,” the same source told the Post. “They had a lot to say to Jedediah about calming things down.” The source went on to speculate that The View is looking to have Clinton as a regular guest, and they were nervous about scaring her off.

None of these reports are confirmed, however, and Bila seemed to part ways on friendly terms with her View co-hosts. She did tweet a clip of her Clinton interview shortly after the program announced she’d be departing, but deleted it almost immediately after it posted.
