CNN Has ‘Technical Difficulties’ When Sanders Calls Network ‘Fake News’

By  Joseph
For a major cable news network, CNN sure does have a lot of “technical difficulties.”
The Clinton News Network on Friday night had Sen. Bernie Sanders (Socialist – People’s Republic of Vermont) on to talk about all the things on his mind since getting drubbed by Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primaries.
Show host Erin Burnett showed a clip of President Trump saying he had not seen reports about Michael Flynn, his national security adviser, discussing sanctions with Russia. “I don’t know about that. I haven’t seen it. What report is that?” Trump says on the clip.
Burnett asked Sanders if that was “a problem.” Here’s what happened next.
“Well, I don’t know. Maybe he was watching CNN fake news. What do you think?”
“You don’t buy it?” Burnett said.
“That was a joke,” Bernie deadpans.
Burnett: “I know it was a joke. I’m saying, you don’t buy what he’s saying, obviously.”
Bernie: “Erin?”
Burnett: “Yes. I’m sorry, senator, I’m saying you obviously don’t buy what he said. You beleive that he has seen these reports. I mean, to your point.”
Bernie: “I’m not — are we on?”
Burnett: “It looks like we’ve lost connection with Senator Sanders. So let’s just try to get that back up. Do we have him back? OK. So what we’re going to do is take a break.”
Reports hit the interwebs saying CNN had cut Bernie off for uttering the verboten “fake news” charge against CNN. And Trump, always ready to throw gas on a fire, tweeted out Sunday morning: “While on FAKE NEWS @CNN, Bernie Sanders was cut off for using the term fake news to describe the network. They said technical difficulties!”
CNN hasn’t released an official rebuttal to the president, but uber liberal CNN talking head Brian Stelter tweeted “untrue.” Sanders was *criticizing Trump* for calling CNN ‘fake news.’ “
And we’d buy that — if it hadn’t happened so many times before.
Like when Rep. Chris Collins had his feed cut (wait, sorry, CNN had “technical difficulties”) three seconds after he mentioned Wikileaks.
And when CNN suddenly “lost” its own reporter Brianna Keilar when she was pointing out that Hillary supported the very same policies that has led to the current crime rate.
And that time when CNN cut off (oops, “cut off,” wait, I mean “cut off”) a black voter who was in the middle of saying “we have to stop with the racist stuff” while he was at a Trump rally. After the abrupt cut, show host Tamron Hall, who is black, said: “Ummmmm, clearly (laughs), let, let, let me just be clear here: Obviously, the majority of Donald Trump’s supporters are not African American and I don’t know how many African Americans were in that, that building, but that is one, uh, person, that, uh, we have chosen to cut that sound from, uh.”
Poor CNN. Maybe if their rating go up a bit they afford some better equipment — the kind that doesn’t cut out all the time.
