Far-left cable news network CNN suffered a blowout in ratings during their propaganda climate change town hall event this week, coming in dead last among all the cable news networks and during prime time hours barely getting one-third of the total amount of viewers that Fox News garnered.
“CNN averaged 1.1 million viewers from 5 p.m. to midnight, the hours devoted to back-to-back town halls by 10 Democratic contenders,” The Hill reported. “MSNBC finished second with 1.7 million total viewers during the time period, with Fox News winning the time period with an average of 2.5 million. Both channels provided regular programming on Wednesday night.”
“During the 8 p.m.-11 p.m. hours of prime time, Fox News averaged 3.2 million total viewers, placing first,” The Hill continued. “MSNBC was second with a 2.2 million average and CNN third with 1.4 million. ”
The Hill noted that CNN’s poor performance against its competitors was actually great by its own standards as the propaganda event “was well above its average in primetime in 2019.”
The town hall was mostly mocked by those who watched with the exception of hardcore Democrats and climate alarmists.
President Donald Trump trolled the network during their event with a series of tweets.
“8 FACTS that #FakeNewsCNN will ignore in tonight’s ‘Climate Forum,'” Trump tweeted. “1. Which country has the largest carbon emission reduction? AMERICA! 2. Who has dumped the most carbon into the air? CHINA! 3. 91% of the world’s population are exposed to air pollution above the World Health Organization’s suggested level. NONE ARE IN THE U.S.A.!”
“4. The U.S. now leads the world in energy production… BUT… 5. Who’s got the world’s cleanest and safest air and water? AMERICA!” Trump continued. “6. The Democrats’ destructive “environmental” proposals will raise your energy bill and prices at the pump. Don’t the Democrats care about fighting American poverty?”
Trump concluded: “7. The badly flawed Paris Climate Agreement protects the polluters, hurts Americans, and cost a fortune. NOT ON MY WATCH! 8. I want crystal clean water and the cleanest and the purest air on the planet – we’ve now got that!”
Jim Hanson, President of Security Studies Group, wrote: “It’s almost like #CNN is trying to sabotage the entire Democrat slate of candidates”
Radio host Jesse Kelly wrote: “CNN is much smarter than we give them credit for. They need Trump for ratings. They WANT him re-elected. Giving the entire Democrat field 7 hours to reveal how insane they are about ‘climate change’ is a huge win for Trump. And one the Democrats never should have agreed to.”
