Actress <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/christina-applegate">Christina Applegate</a> apologized for cursing at a commenter on X who made a quip about the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/2024-election">election</a> results.
The 52-year-old “Dead to Me” star had initially voiced her disappointment after <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump">Donald Trump</a> emerged victorious over her preferred candidate, Vice President Kamala Harris.
“Please unfollow me if you voted against female rights. Against disability rights. Yeah that. Unfollow me because what you did is unreal,” Applegate <a href="https://x.com/1capplegate/status/1854100258315215344">posted</a> on X in the early morning hours on Wednesday. “Don’t want followers like this. So yeah. Done. Also after today I will be shutting down this fan account that I have had for so many years because this is sick.”
One account <a href="https://x.com/LittleLeinaa/status/1854109174629617811">replied</a>, saying, “I genuinely have no idea who you are, but Harris has no one to blame for her loss but herself. You’re just whining. Get over it.”
“Oh I’m whining??? Really. If you don’t know who I am yet you follow me then f*** off,” Applegate <a href="https://x.com/1capplegate/status/1854110706993348704">shot back</a>. “I am disabled. Everyday of my life is hard.”
The actress had an even stronger reaction to another commenter who <a href="https://x.com/EddieGoode1/status/1854100877587394836">wrote</a>, “The problem is women can’t think straight one week out of the month and that’s not good for a president and the American people know that.”

Applegate <a href="https://x.com/1capplegate/status/1854189332149477697">apologized</a> for her rant later on, writing, “I apologize. I’m still reeling and sobbing. But I’m not angry anymore. Just going to go back to my bubble and watch a s*** ton of Bravo shows So peace to all. I suggest you do the same. Very soothing.”
Several Hollywood celebrities have reacted to Trump’s win with outrage and indignation. Singer Ariana Grande wrote, “Holding the hand of every person who is feeling the immeasurable heaviness of this outcome today,” while Jimmy Kimmel fought back tears during his late night show monologue. 
“I hate y’all bad,” rapper Cardi B <a href="https://www.billboard.com/culture/politics/cardi-b-warns-donald-trump-supporters-leave-her-alone-video-1235822216/">wrote</a> after President-elect Trump was poised to win Tuesday night.
