Former President Joe Biden&#8217;s prostate cancer has progressed beyond the bone metastases disclosed at his 2025 diagnosis and is causing him significant pain, his son Hunter Biden said in an interview Friday.
“The cancer has spread, metastasized into his bones and further,” Hunter Biden said during an interview with <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cy8ey458pv5o">BBC Newsnight</a>. “It’s very painful and it’s very debilitating in many respects.”
Hunter Biden became emotional while discussing his father’s condition, describing it as “really sad to watch” and saying he wished the former president would complain more about what he is experiencing.
Joe Biden, 83, was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/joe-biden-diagnosed-with-aggressive-form-of-prostate-cancer">diagnosed</a> with an aggressive form of prostate cancer in May 2025, several months after leaving the White House, following a medical examination prompted by urinary symptoms. His office said at the time that the cancer had a Gleason score of 9 and had already metastasized to his bones, while describing it as hormone-sensitive and therefore potentially responsive to treatment.
Hunter Biden said his father remains active despite the progression of his illness. “He’s still out there. He’s still doing his thing,” Hunter Biden said. “He so believes in this country.”
“My dad is, to this day, the center of our family,” he added. “He’s the best father, the best husband, the best grandfather.”

Hunter Biden also discussed his father&#8217;s decision to pardon him in the final weeks of his presidency, calling himself &#8220;the most privileged person there is&#8221; and <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cy8ey458pv5o">conceding</a> the pardon was &#8220;not good&#8221; for the American people, the Constitution or his father&#8217;s legacy.
Then-President Biden issued Hunter Biden a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/president-biden-pardons-hunter-claims-son-was-singled-out">full and unconditional pardon</a> in December 2024 covering his federal gun conviction, tax case and federal offenses committed between 2014 and 2024.

The Democratic National Committee&#8217;s effort to explain and learn from its 2024 election losses has descended into fresh controversy after the author of the party&#8217;s official postmortem claimed Democratic leaders omitted an entire chapter examining what went wrong.
According to the <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2026/08/03/us/politics/democrats-autopsy-2024-election-dnc.html">New York Times</a>, Democratic consultant Paul Rivera, who authored the DNC&#8217;s after-action review, says a 28-page chapter titled &#8220;What Happened in 2024&#8221; was missing when the party released the report in May after <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/democrats-finally-admit-what-went-wrong-in-2024">delaying publication</a> for nearly a year.
The omitted chapter reportedly addressed some of the most politically sensitive questions surrounding Democrats&#8217; defeat, including whether former President Joe Biden should have sought reelection, the party&#8217;s declining support among key voting blocs, and what Rivera described as a self-enriching Democratic consultant class that had become disconnected from ordinary Americans.
&#8220;An emerging critique of Democratic decision-making is there are too many people who have become generationally wealthy off politics and drive too much of the decision-making within the ecosystem,&#8221; Rivera wrote in the missing chapter, which he provided to the Times. 
He also questioned Biden&#8217;s decision to remain in the race. 
&#8220;Is there a single point of failure for 2024? Perhaps it is a decision of the President to seek re-election instead of passing the torch,&#8221; the chapter states.
Rivera says he personally handed DNC Chairman Ken Martin a three-ring binder containing the completed chapter during a January meeting after Martin criticized the draft report. Rivera said Martin later returned the binder after reviewing it.
Martin denied ever receiving the missing section. 
&#8220;As we said at the time, in May we released all of the draft report as we&#8217;d received it from the author,&#8221; Martin said in a statement to the Times. &#8220;If we had this in May, we would have released it with the rest of the report.&#8221; 
Martin maintained that the January meeting focused solely on &#8220;lessons learned&#8221; materials for internal planning, not on new report chapters, arguing that neither he nor the DNC ever reviewed the disputed document.
The dispute comes after the DNC initially announced it would not release an official autopsy of the 2024 election, with Martin arguing the effort had become a distraction. He later reversed course amid mounting pressure, publishing an annotated draft in May while insisting it was &#8220;not ready for primetime&#8221; and refusing to endorse its conclusions.
Rivera told the Times he decided to go public because he believes Democrats cannot fix their problems without candid self-examination.
 &#8220;It&#8217;s coming from a place of hope and, honestly, a little bit of desperation,&#8221; Rivera said. &#8220;There&#8217;s a very comfortable ecosystem that will profit mightily from no change.&#8221;
The controversy comes as Martin is already facing growing scrutiny over his leadership. The DNC recently <a href="https://www.fec.gov/data/committee/C00010603/#&amp;_intcmp=fnc_media_article_main-content_article-body_6_2">reported</a> having roughly $16.3 million cash on hand while carrying $18.5 million in debt. Martin has also come under fire following <a href="https://nypost.com/2026/07/26/us-news/raging-dnc-boss-ken-martin-threw-phone-at-aides-desk-as-committee-forced-to-put-up-hq-as-loan-collateral-report/">reports</a> that he threw his cellphone at a staffer&#8217;s desk during an internal dispute, prompting a human resources complaint, as well as comments suggesting he was uncertain how much longer he would remain in the position.
With fewer than 100 days until the midterm elections, the dispute over whether Democrats buried the most politically explosive section of their own election autopsy will likely do little to assuage concerns about whether party leadership has fully come to terms with the reasons behind its 2024 defeat.

During the debate, Jill Biden frequently stumbled through his answers and struggled to appear coherent. At the time, his wife said that he did a “great job,” &#8220;answered every question,” and “knew all the facts.” 
Yet in a viral clip from her interview with CBS News, she claimed to have a very different reaction. 
“I was frightened,” she said. “I had never, ever seen Joe like that before or since. When I watched it, I thought, ‘Oh my God, he’s having a stroke.’ And it scared me to death.”
Trump added that Jill Biden should have mentioned how well he performed during the debate. 
“The only thing she failed to mention was how well I was doing prior to his near total collapse. In other words, as many have asked, did my strong performance in that debate cause him to plain and simple ‘choke,’ leading to his ignominious defeat, or were other reasons the cause? Nobody else knows the answer to that, BUT I DO!!!” Trump said. 
Biden has received backlash from both Democrats and Republicans for her claims, with many commentators accusing her of lying. 
Pressure quickly mounted on Biden after the debate. He ended his campaign soon after, paving the way for former Vice President Kamala Harris to quickly lock up the Democrat nomination without any major opposition.

Biden told CBS News in an interview clip released Wednesday that she was “frightened” by President Joe Biden’s performance and thought he was having a stroke. After a video of her remarks went viral, commenters quickly pointed out that she claimed her husband did a &#8220;great job&#8221; and had answered all the questions immediately after the debate on June 27, 2024.

Responding to the former first lady’s claims, New York Post columnist Miranda Devine noted that she would have made him go to a hospital immediately after the debate. 
“Sorry but this is such BS. If she genuinely was ‘frightened’ that he was having a stroke then any rational wife would have insisted he go straight to the hospital,” Devine <a href="https://x.com/mirandadevine/status/2059840300445536520">said</a>. “Instead she dragged him off to a Waffle House and patronized him on stage like a baby: ‘Joe – you did such a great job.’ We saw his incapacity for years. Don&#8217;t try to rewrite history.”
Axios reporter Alex Thompson <a href="https://x.com/AlexThomp/status/2059758616131891234">quoted</a> a former Biden official who responded to the clip, telling him that &#8220;she’s lying.&#8221;
Pressure mounted on Biden to end his re-election bid after he muddled his way through a debate performance filled with verbal miscues and nonsensical answers. After the performance a reporter asked White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre if Biden had undergone a neurological scan. 
Jean-Pierre downplayed concerns, saying that Biden had a “bad night.” 
“We understand that it was a bad night and the president has spoken to this. And he understands that,” she said at the time. “And so, I cannot speak to anything beyond what I just shared. The president has regular annual physicals that we release in a thorough report. We&#8217;re going to continue to do that. I don&#8217;t have anything else beyond that.”

Despite privately fearing something was seriously wrong, Jill Biden publicly praised the president after the debate.
“Joe, you did such a great job. You answered every question,” she told him on stage afterward. 
Biden’s performance sparked immediate concern from both Democrats and Republicans and intensified scrutiny over his mental and physical fitness for office. 
CNN anchor Jake Tapper later co-authored a book about the &#8220;cover-up&#8221; of Biden’s cognitive decline, with many Democrats viewing the debate as a turning point of the 2024 campaign.
Weeks later, Biden ended his re-election bid, leaving Vice President Kamala Harris with just 107 days to run for the highest office. 
Since leaving the White House, the Bidens have kept a relatively low public profile. Earlier this year, Joe Biden disclosed that he had been diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer.

Democrats finally released their long-awaited 2024 election autopsy — and it reads less like a postmortem on President Donald Trump and more like a realization that voters may simply not like them anymore.
Buried inside the 192-page report are some brutal admissions about former Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic brand, and the party’s growing disconnect from average Americans.
&#8220;The sad truth is Democrats have lost ground at every level from inconsistent messaging and improper planning, even as the policies the Party advances continue to earn voter support at the ballot box,&#8221; <a href="https://democrats.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/May-20-2026.pdf">the report said</a>.
The document repeatedly suggests Democrats leaned way too heavily on “Trump bad” messaging while failing to give voters a compelling reason to vote for Harris. One especially rough section says Harris struggled to define herself beyond “not Trump” and “prosecutor vs. felon,&#8221; putting blame on the Biden White House.
&#8220;The national campaign did not effectively drive Trump’s negatives, and the White House did not effectively support Vice President Harris over three and [a] half years to improve her standing before the candidate switch,&#8221; the report said. &#8220;The idea Trump’s negatives were &#8216;baked in&#8217; is a major failure of analysis and reality&#8230;&#8221; 
The autopsy also openly acknowledges that Harris had a significant issue with male voters.
One section, titled “The Male Voter Problem,” points out that down-ballot Democrats consistently outperformed Harris with men. North Carolina Democrat Josh Stein, for example, won 51% of male voters while Harris managed just 40%.
And it gets worse.
The autopsy admits Harris struggled badly with young men, Latino men, irregular voters, rural voters, and working-class Americans. At one point, the report flatly says Democrats suffered from a “persistent inability or unwillingness to listen to all voters.” Another section warns that millions of Americans “do not see themselves reflected in the America of the Democratic Party.”
There are also some surprisingly direct shots at identity politics.
One passage praises candidates who focused “less on abstract issues and identity politics” and more on public safety, affordability, housing, and the economy.
The report found that the Trump attack ads were highly effective, particularly the “Kamala is for they/them” spot, with Democratic pollsters noting the campaign was effectively boxed in by footage of her own remarks showing Harris out of touch with voters focused on their pocketbooks.

The document repeatedly undercuts itself in real time with editor notes and annotations like “No evidence provided,” “Analysis not supported,” and “Contradicts public reporting.”
DNC Chair Ken Martin defended releasing the report after delaying it for months, telling CNN: “After last November’s massive Democratic wins, I didn’t want to create a distraction, but by not putting the report out, I ended up creating an even bigger distraction.”
With nationwide redistricting underway, the report fired bleak warning shots for Democrats as more Americans continue fleeing blue states and voting with their feet.
&#8220;The future could become even more difficult. Demographic and population projections indicate an accelerating population shift away from traditionally Democratic states,&#8221; the report found. 
&#8220;With radical midterm redistricting efforts underway, the writing is on the wall, and the call is coming from inside the House. We either adapt to the changing conditions of the arena, or history will leave us behind.&#8221;

Even as Democratic National Committee Chairman Ken Martin continues to defend the decision to keep the 200-page report private, Harris is signaling behind closed doors that she has no objection to making the findings public, according to <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2028-election/kamala-harris-dnc-release-autopsy-report-2024-campaign-rcna343453">NBC News</a>.
The divide comes as Harris appears to be laying the groundwork for another White House campaign following her 2024 loss to President Donald Trump. Harris has remained active on the national stage through speeches, donor outreach, and a nationwide tour promoting her memoir “107 Days,” while also privately consulting allies about a potential 2028 run.
But the unresolved fight over the party’s postmortem has become a growing source of frustration among Democratic strategists, donors, and activists still searching for answers after Democrats lost the White House and Republicans secured unified control of Washington in 2024.

Critics inside the party, however, argue that withholding the report has only fueled suspicion. “It raises more questions than it answers to conduct an autopsy and then not release it,” Democratic strategist Christy Setzer said. Others within the party have warned the secrecy risks deepening distrust among Democratic voters already frustrated with party leadership after 2024.

Internal documents also reportedly showed serious outreach problems, including claims that despite hundreds of millions of voter contact attempts, only a small percentage resulted in actual conversations with voters.
Others including Bernie Sanders delegate Norman Solomon <a href="https://www.salon.com/2026/05/05/the-democratic-national-committee-is-boosting-kamala-harris-for-2028/">argue</a> that shielding the report creates the appearance that party leadership is protecting Harris ahead of a potentially crowded 2028 primary field that could include figures like California Governor Gavin Newsom, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Maryland Governor Wes Moore, and Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ).
For now, Martin appears unlikely to reverse course entirely, though he has recently floated releasing limited “top-line” findings instead of the full report.

&#8220;So if I am being careful with you in how I say things, yes, I live in California. I live with not one, not two, but three people who, if I made any kind of joke, they&#8217;d become very angry with me,&#8221; the actor added.

O’Connell has been married to former supermodel Romijn since 2007, and their twin daughters, Dolly and Charlie, were born in 2008.
He actively supported Harris during the 2024 presidential election, even <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/C-EPwB9sGRE/">attending a rally</a> in Georgia.
Maher and O’Connell’s discussion about the 2024 presidential election came just after Maher criticized Hollywood for not recognizing Paramount+ hit “Landman” because it’s seen as a “conservative show.”
“First of all, even if it was a conservative show, that should be allowed,” Maher said. “This is f***ing America, you a**holes.”
He continued, “I mean, it’s just not exactly what you are. And so we have to ignore that and pretend it doesn’t exist. You want to know why people vote for Trump? That’s why. Your sh***y attitude is a real turnoff.”

That’s the rules, so when people criticize me — they criticized me for my stance against the war 20 years ago, people picketed my movies and they put me on a deck of cards — I have to take that, that’s fair. I’m OK with that, I’m OK with criticism for where I stand. I defend their right to criticize me as much as I defend my right to criticize them.”

Former Vice President Kamala Harris recalled during a recent interview how then-President Joe Biden had &#8220;angered&#8221; her in the moments leading up to her one debate with President Donald Trump.
Harris told podcast host Steven Bartlett (&#8220;Diary of a CEO&#8221;) that Biden had called her prior to the debate, but that instead of giving her the encouragement and advice she expected, he&#8217;d made it clear to her that he was thinking only of himself.

Harris went on to explain that she&#8217;d actually wanted Biden to give her some pointers: &#8220;It just. It was so unnecessary. There are only two people in the world other than me that has debated this guy, Hillary Clinton and him. And you know what it’s like, it’s &#8230; Going into a debate with the stakes being that high and Trump hadn’t agreed to another debate, the stakes were so high. So that’s an example of what I mean.&#8221;
&#8220;You took something from that. You took an underlying message about one’s intentions from that, because I would,&#8221; Bartlett prompted Harris to follow that thought to its logical conclusion. &#8220;If someone called me in the lead up to debate prep and said something like that to me, I would assume that they don’t want the best for me.&#8221;
&#8220;My takeaway is his motivation was all about himself,&#8221; Harris replied.
&#8220;That’s what I would assume from that,&#8221; Bartlett agreed.
&#8220;Obviously, right. Yeah. It wasn’t about my performance at the debate,&#8221; Harris said.
Bartlett took the argument a bit further, asking, &#8220;Do you think he wanted you to win the election?&#8221;
Harris said that she did believe Biden wanted her to win, but she thought that his motives had been selfish: &#8220;I do because I was the only one who would be able to preserve his legacy.&#8221;
&#8220;But even that’s about him,&#8221; Bartlett noted.
&#8220;Well, if I had to assume one of the reasons why he’d want me to win. If– yeah,&#8221; she said.

Kathy Griffin had her Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) on full display during a recent episode of her podcast, when she insisted that President Donald Trump stole the 2024 election.
The 64-year-old comedian and plastic surgery enthusiast has a long history of animosity toward Trump — most infamously when she posed in 2017 with a prop resembling the president’s bloodied, severed head. The stunt tanked her already fading career, but she’s continued to attack Trump at every opportunity since.

“People are calling this protest the No Kings Day, because Trump thinks he’s a f***ing king,” Griffin said on Wednesday’s episode of her YouTube show, titled “The Un-Cancelation of Kathy Griffin.” 
“And you know he’s not. He’s barely a president,” she went on. 
“I’m going to say something that’s going to get me in trouble,” Griffin said before saying it may make her seem “crazy,” but she doesn’t believe Trump “won in a free and fair election.”

The comedian said she believed Trump’s win wasn’t legit because Elon Musk was “handing out million-dollar checks to people to vote for Trump,” calling the supposed act “unconstitutional and illegal.”
“He’s, like, a fake genius&#8230; he’s a professional Nazi, in my humble opinion,” Griffin said about Musk.
The D-lister also said it was “suspicious” that Trump won all seven swing states, a feat which ”has never happened in the history of the U.S.,” she claimed.
There were many reactions on social media to Griffin’s allegations.
“Kathy Griffin is the face of Trump Derangement Syndrome,” Congressman Troy E. Nehls (R-TX) <a href="https://x.com/RepTroyNehls/status/1978536560459964837">wrote</a> on X.
“Kathy Griffin is now denying the results of the 2024 election. I was told that denying election results is a threat to our democracy. Literally shaking rn,” Libs of TikTok <a href="https://x.com/libsoftiktok/status/1978603051918233792">joked</a>.
“When your fantasy world continuously doesn’t match the real world as it is, something has to give. Denial is one way for the brain to not melt down completely, even if it is degenerating,” another person <a href="https://x.com/JazzDevo/status/1978777261877719504">chimed in</a>.

President Donald Trump referred to his 2024 presidential rival — former Vice President Kamala Harris — as &#8220;dumb as a rock&#8221; in a Wednesday social media post, calling her out for a claim she&#8217;d been making as she promoted her memoir.
Trump mocked Harris, who has repeatedly claimed that the 2024 election was exceptionally close, as she makes the rounds in the press ahead of the release of her book, &#8220;107 Days,&#8221; about her abbreviated run for the White House in 2024.
&#8220;Kamala Harris, who is DUMB AS A ROCK, is going around and using, as a standard part of her Speech on why she lost the Election, that 2024 was the &#8216;closest Presidential Election in the 21st Century,'&#8221; Trump posted.
Trump shared a graphic that showed the 2024 election results by county, adding, &#8220;Everyone knows this is a lie, and was covered as such by Fox News! I won the Electoral College, 312-226, a LANDSLIDE, Counties Nationwide, 2,600 to 525, a LANDSLIDE, all seven Swing States, a LANDSLIDE, and, despite the fact that California’s Fake Mail In Ballots came in at ridiculous numbers (It was RIGGED!), I still won the Popular Vote by MILLIONS!&#8221;
&#8220;Bush, as an example, won the Election by 537 Votes, and many other Elections were very close.
