Actor and major Democratic donor George Clooney declared that the strategy of replacing Joe Biden with Kamala Harris months before the 2024 election was a “mistake.”
The “Ocean’s Eleven” star made the admission during an interview with CBS &#8220;Sunday Morning.&#8221;
When asked if he would write his infamous New York Times op-ed again if he had a chance to redo things, Clooney said he would.
“Yes. We had a chance. I wanted there to be, as I wrote in the op-ed, a primary. Let’s battle-test this quickly and get it up and going. I think the mistake with it being Kamala is she had to run against her own record. It’s very hard to do if the point of running is to say, ‘I’m not that person.’ It’s hard to do, and so she was given a very tough task,” the actor said.
“I think it was a mistake, quite honestly. But we are where we are. We were gonna lose more House seats, they say. So I don’t know. To not do it would be to say, ‘I’m not gonna tell the truth.&#8217;”

He wrote at the time, “We are not going to win in November with this president. On top of that, we won’t win the House, and we’re going to lose the Senate. This isn’t only my opinion; this is the opinion of every senator and congress member and governor that I’ve spoken with in private. Every single one, irrespective of what he or she is saying publicly.”
Clooney defended speaking out after being criticized, <a href="https://www.thedailybeast.com/george-clooney-defends-his-op-ed-knifing-joe-biden-as-a-civic-duty/">telling</a> CNN’s Jake Tapper at the time that it was his “civic duty” to call for Biden to drop out of the race.
“That’s the deal, you have to take your stand if you believe in it,” he said at the time. “Take a stand, stand for it and then deal with the consequences. That’s the rules, so when people criticize me — they criticized me for my stance against the war 20 years ago, people picketed my movies and they put me on a deck of cards — I have to take that, that’s fair. I’m OK with that, I’m OK with criticism for where I stand. I defend their right to criticize me as much as I defend my right to criticize them.”

Former Vice President Kamala Harris recalled during a recent interview how then-President Joe Biden had &#8220;angered&#8221; her in the moments leading up to her one debate with President Donald Trump.
Harris told podcast host Steven Bartlett (&#8220;Diary of a CEO&#8221;) that Biden had called her prior to the debate, but that instead of giving her the encouragement and advice she expected, he&#8217;d made it clear to her that he was thinking only of himself.

Harris went on to explain that she&#8217;d actually wanted Biden to give her some pointers: &#8220;It just. It was so unnecessary. There are only two people in the world other than me that has debated this guy, Hillary Clinton and him. And you know what it’s like, it’s &#8230; Going into a debate with the stakes being that high and Trump hadn’t agreed to another debate, the stakes were so high. So that’s an example of what I mean.&#8221;
&#8220;You took something from that. You took an underlying message about one’s intentions from that, because I would,&#8221; Bartlett prompted Harris to follow that thought to its logical conclusion. &#8220;If someone called me in the lead up to debate prep and said something like that to me, I would assume that they don’t want the best for me.&#8221;
&#8220;My takeaway is his motivation was all about himself,&#8221; Harris replied.
&#8220;That’s what I would assume from that,&#8221; Bartlett agreed.
&#8220;Obviously, right. Yeah. It wasn’t about my performance at the debate,&#8221; Harris said.
Bartlett took the argument a bit further, asking, &#8220;Do you think he wanted you to win the election?&#8221;
Harris said that she did believe Biden wanted her to win, but she thought that his motives had been selfish: &#8220;I do because I was the only one who would be able to preserve his legacy.&#8221;
&#8220;But even that’s about him,&#8221; Bartlett noted.
&#8220;Well, if I had to assume one of the reasons why he’d want me to win. If– yeah,&#8221; she said.

The comedian said she believed Trump’s win wasn’t legit because Elon Musk was “handing out million-dollar checks to people to vote for Trump,” calling the supposed act “unconstitutional and illegal.”
“He’s, like, a fake genius&#8230; he’s a professional Nazi, in my humble opinion,” Griffin said about Musk.
The D-lister also said it was “suspicious” that Trump won all seven swing states, a feat which ”has never happened in the history of the U.S.,” she claimed.
There were many reactions on social media to Griffin’s allegations.

Former Vice President Kamala Harris wanted to pick then-Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg as her running mate in 2024, but decided against it because she wasn’t “a straight white man,” according to an excerpt from her new book. 
In portions of her new memoir <a href="https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2025/09/kamala-harris-running-mate-pete-buttigieg/684249/">published</a> by The Atlantic on Wednesday, Harris wrote that the openly gay Buttigieg was her “first choice” for her vice presidential running mate. However, she said she felt that a ticket with Buttigieg would present a level of diversity America wasn’t ready to embrace.
Harris wrote that Buttigieg “would have been an ideal partner—if I were a straight white man.”
“But we were already asking a lot of America: to accept a woman, a Black woman, a Black woman married to a Jewish man. Part of me wanted to say, Screw it, let’s just do it. But knowing what was at stake, it was too big of a risk,” Harris wrote. “And I think Pete also knew that—to our mutual sadness.”
Harris’s book, called “107 Days,” is set to be released on September 23.
Buttigieg, the former mayor of South Bend, Indiana, was Biden’s transportation secretary. He is <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/buttigieg-to-pass-on-senate-run-as-he-eyes-white-house-in-2028-report">reportedly</a> considering a run for president in 2028. Earlier this year, he opted not to run for the U.S. Senate in Michigan, reportedly to position himself better for a run for the White House. 
Harris wrote that Buttigieg “is a sincere public servant with the rare talent of being able to frame liberal arguments in a way that makes it possible for conservatives to hear them.”
In the end, Harris chose Minnesota Democratic Governor Tim Walz as her running mate. 
The first portions of her book, released earlier this month, Harris <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/kamala-turns-on-biden-in-first-excerpt-from-new-memoir-it-was-recklessness">attacked</a> former President Joe Biden, claiming his re-election bid was driven by ego and that his team actively sought to undermine her.
“Was it grace, or was it recklessness? In retrospect, I think it was recklessness,” she wrote of Biden’s decision to run for re-election. “The stakes were simply too high. This wasn’t a choice that should have been left to an individual’s ego, an individual’s ambition. It should have been more than a personal decision.”

President Donald Trump said he filed a $15 billion lawsuit against the “degenerate” New York Times on Monday for defamation and libel. 
The lawsuit targets the Times over three articles and a book written by its reporters, published before the 2024 election. The suit argues that the content, which criticized Trump’s business and political career, was maliciously intended to interfere with the presidential race. 
“Today, I have the Great Honor of bringing a $15 Billion Dollar Defamation and Libel Lawsuit against The New York Times, one of the worst and most degenerate newspapers in the History of our Country, becoming a virtual &#8216;mouthpiece&#8217; for the Radical Left Democrat Party,” Trump <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/115211918198289404">wrote</a> on Truth Social. “I view it as the single largest illegal Campaign contribution, EVER. Their Endorsement of Kamala Harris was actually put dead center on the front page of The New York Times, something heretofore UNHEARD OF! The ‘Times’ has engaged in a decades long method of lying about your Favorite President (ME!), my family, business, the America First Movement, MAGA, and our Nation as a whole.”
Trump added that the outlet has “been allowed to freely lie, smear, and defame me for far too long, and that stops, NOW!”
The <a href="https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.flmd.447437/gov.uscourts.flmd.447437.1.0.pdf">suit</a>, filed in federal court in Florida, names the book “Lucky Loser: How Donald Trump Squandered His Father’s Fortune and Created the Illusion of Success” and the following three articles: “The Star-Making Machine That Created ‘Donald Trump,” “For Trump, a Lifetime of Scandals Heads Toward a Moment of Judgment,” and “As Election Nears, Kelly Warns Trump Would Rule Like a Dictator.”
Trump claims that the content was intended to damage his business reputation, “sabotage” his 2024 campaign, and bias judges and juries against him. 
“The Book and Articles are part of a decades-long pattern by the New York Times of intentional and malicious defamation against President Trump,” the lawsuit says. “Defendants maliciously published the Book and the Articles knowing that these publications were filled with repugnant distortions and fabrications about President Trump. Defendants simply ignored their breach of journalistic ethics because the Book and the Articles would further the goals of the New York Times and its backers in the Democrat Party.” 
In addition to the Times, the suit names the book publisher Penguin Random House and the authors of the articles as defendants. 
Trump has previously won millions of dollars in lawsuits against ABC News and CBS/Paramount. He is also pursuing an ongoing defamation case against The Wall Street Journal over an article alleging he wrote a birthday card to Jeffrey Epstein.

In her new book about her failed 2024 campaign, former Vice President Kamala Harris blasts former President Joe Biden, claiming his re-election bid was driven by ego and that his team actively sought to undermine her in the White House.
The Atlantic on Wednesday <a href="https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2025/09/kamala-harris-107-days-excerpt/684150/">published</a> portions of Harris’s new memoir, “107 Days,” in which she attacks Biden and his team as she discusses her campaign against Donald Trump. 
According to Harris, whenever the prospect of Biden running again was raised, the standard response inside the White House was, “It’s Joe and Jill’s decision.”
“We all said that, like a mantra, as if we’d all been hypnotized. Was it grace, or was it recklessness? In retrospect, I think it was recklessness,” she wrote. “The stakes were simply too high. This wasn’t a choice that should have been left to an individual’s ego, an individual’s ambition. It should have been more than a personal decision.”
Harris said that she couldn’t push Biden to step aside earlier, insisting it would have been seen as a &#8220;self-serving&#8221; move.
“And of all the people in the White House, I was in the worst position to make the case that he should drop out. I knew it would come off to him as incredibly self-serving if I advised him not to run. He would see it as naked ambition, perhaps as poisonous disloyalty, even if my only message was: Don’t let the other guy win,” she wrote. 
Harris denied that there was “some big conspiracy” to hide Biden’s “infirmity,” and claimed that he was “able to discharge the duties of president.” 
“I don’t believe it was incapacity. If I believed that, I would have said so. As loyal as I am to President Biden, I am more loyal to my country,” she said. 
In the excerpts, Harris also claimed Biden’s team repeatedly threw her under the bus for political purposes. She said that when she came under fire from conservative media, “the White House rarely pushed back with my actual résumé.”
“They had a huge comms team; they had Karine Jean-Pierre briefing in the pressroom every day. But getting anything positive said about my work or any defense against untrue attacks was almost impossible,” she wrote. “Worse, I often learned that the president’s staff was adding fuel to negative narratives that sprang up around me.”
She said it seemed like Biden’s team “seemed as if they decided I should be knocked down a little bit more.” Harris was particularly upset that Biden didn’t do more to defend her after he designated her border czar, a title she claimed was mischaracterized by conservative media. 
Harris argued that elevating her profile could have improved Biden’s image with voters.
“Their thinking was zero-sum: If she’s shining, he’s dimmed. None of them grasped that if I did well, he did well. That given the concerns about his age, my visible success as his vice president was vital,” she wrote. 
Harris’s book is set to be released on September 23.

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden&#8217;s administration mobilized the federal government through the Treasury Department to get out the vote in the 2022 midterms, documents shared with The Daily Wire show, with particular focus on low-income or non-English speaking voters.
The news raises questions about the federal government&#8217;s role in elections, a senior White House official told The Daily Wire, arguing that using the Treasury Department to get out the vote is &#8220;certainly outside the scope of &#8221; its defined purpose.
&#8220;The federal government has a very carefully defined role in the nation&#8217;s elections,&#8221; that official shared, noting that Congress enacted the &#8220;Help America Vote Act&#8221; and the &#8220;National Voter Registration Act&#8221; to modernize election systems and increase voter registration. 
&#8220;But under President Biden&#8217;s leadership, we saw every single aspect of the federal government sort of turned into a massive voter mobilization, voter registration campaign, even for those departments and agencies that are not historically or by statute even involved in the election process,&#8221; the official shared. &#8220;And so that&#8217;s what happened with the IRS and the Treasury Department.&#8221; 
President Biden issued an executive order in March 2021 on &#8220;Promoting Access to Voting&#8221; requiring government agencies to encourage voter registration and voter participation by educating the public on how to cast a ballot, the electoral process, and how to vote by mail.
Under that executive order, the IRS&#8217;s Stakeholder Partnerships, Education and Communication (SPEC) requirement includes encouraging SPEC Partners to provide information to specific demographics of taxpayers at local Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) sites, according to White House documents viewed by The Daily Wire.
VITA is a program designed to assist low to moderate-income taxpayers, but a key component focuses on non-English speakers. TCE applies to the elderly.
What information was shared with these specific demographics at local sites? How and where to register to vote, how and where to vote, how to engage in other non-partisan efforts that promote voter participation, and more, according to a White House document on &#8220;Guidance for Promoting Voter Registration at VITA/TCE Sites for SPEC Partners&#8221; obtained by The Daily Wire.
The official who spoke with The Daily Wire highlighted that this focus on specific demographics is particularly problematic —  and that the Biden administration plan was using the federal government to do something that was &#8220;fundamentally a responsibility to states.&#8221; 
&#8220;It&#8217;s something that the US Constitution hands to the states as their sacred obligation,&#8221; the official explained. &#8220;What the IRS did was to interpret that order to apply, not even to every taxpayer, but only to those taxpayers that were primarily served by certain tax preparers and certain tax agents that they deemed more likely to be associated with politically favored demographics, those that were working with Americans from early on in urban areas and so forth.&#8221;
The Treasury Department also specifically indicated to its employees that they should use internal communications channels to encourage employees to vote and to register to vote. On November 21, 2021, the Treasury&#8217;s Acting Chief Human Capital Officer told bureau Human Resources officers that &#8220;no later than 60 days prior&#8221; to national general elections, Treasury bureaus should use their internal channels to remind employees of their right to vote as well as encourage voter registration and voter participation.

The current White House maintains that under President Donald Trump&#8217;s leadership, the federal government is no longer serving as &#8220;a massive partisan leading voter registration campaign.&#8221; And the release of documents and information about what went on during President Biden&#8217;s administration is a fulfillment of the executive orders that Trump signed in February and March.
&#8220;The roles and functions of the IRS and the Treasury Department are returning to what taxpayers pay them to do, which is manage the nation&#8217;s finances and manage the enforcement of our tax law,&#8221; the White House official explained to The Daily Wire, &#8220;Not once has an American taxpayer paid for the IRS to be a voter registration portal or a voter registration entity, and unfortunately the Biden administration thought that they could force the federal government to do that.&#8221;

Actor Jeff Daniels is still upset over the fact that Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris lost to Donald Trump in an electoral landslide in November. He said as much during a recent podcast appearance, going so far as to compare Harris to former President Abraham Lincoln.
“I still think about Kamala, and how I think she would have been a good choice. I don’t care what they say,” the 70-year-old said on Nicole Wallace’s show, “The Best People.”

Daniels then said the Republican Party has gotten worse because of Trump.
“It’s the madness of King George… and just the deterioration of the Republican Party,” he said. “I’m just an actor. What do I know? But when Mitch [McConnell] started stacking the courts 25 years ago, I said it on your show once. They can see it coming. The new America that is diverse and treats everyone with equality and respect, and dignity, you know, kind of like Jesus did. We’re ready for that.”
He accused “Mitch and company” of trying to stop this utopia from being achieved out of fear it would make conservatives the “minority.”
“We’ve lost decency. We’ve lost civility. We’ve lost respect for the rule of law,” Daniels went on. “Lost it. We have normalized verbal abuse on the internet. We’ve normalized bullying. Much as the woke generation tried to, you know, change that. It’s back,” he said. “And out the window goes character, integrity.”
The “Dumb and Dumber” star added, “We’re supposed to elect the best of us, not the worst of us. [Trump is] everything that’s wrong with, not just America, but with being a human being.”
The actor questioned how the conservatives and others on the Right could support the president and indicated that if Jesus came back right now, he wouldn’t be happy with how things are going.

Hunter Biden is back.
There are a couple of reasons why that matters. One is that Hunter Biden is a stand-in for his father. When Hunter talks, Hunter is speaking for Joe Biden. And when he speaks for Joe Biden, he is speaking for the establishment wing of the Democratic Party.
The second reason is that Hunter Biden&#8217;s exposure of the entire Left for the fraud that it is, because of his father, is quite incredible.
It is worthwhile to remember that Hunter Biden was part of that inner coterie of people surrounding Joe Biden who knew that Joe was unhealthy, mentally unwell, and who left him in place because they were essentially playing at the presidency. When you listen to Hunter, you should understand he was at least partially the actual president of the United States for several years.
So that makes Hunter’s interview with Andrew Callaghan of Channel 5 on YouTube important.
He said Nancy Pelosi drove Biden out of the race. “You know who did not want Kamala Harris to be president and did not want her to be the nominee?” Hunter asked. “Nancy Pelosi didn&#8217;t want her to be; none of Nancy Pelosi&#8217;s people wanted her to be. They wanted an open convention. They wanted a floor fight. I don&#8217;t know what the hell they wanted, but they wanted to be the ones to anoint whoever they were going to anoint to become the next president of the United States. … All I know is that they definitely did not want Kamala Harris, which undermined her, which undermined the campaign.”
He also took some swipes at people like George Clooney and David Axelrod, saying:

He was given the blessing by the Obama team or the Obama people and whoever else, and David Axelrod and whoever the f*** else. &#8230; ‘We are going to insert our judgment over yours.’ We, me, and James Carville, who hasn&#8217;t won a race in 40 f***ing years, and David Axelrod, who had one success in his political life, and that was Barack Obama — and that was because of Barack Obama, not because of David Axelrod and David Plouffe and all of these guys, the Pod Save America guys who were junior speechwriters on Barack Obama&#8217;s Senate staff who have been dining out on the relationship with him for years, making millions of dollars, the Anita Dunns of the world, who&#8217;s made $40, $50 million off the Democratic Party &#8230; I don&#8217;t have to be nice. &#8230; What right do you have to step on a man who&#8217;s given 52 years of his life to the services of this country and decide that you, George Clooney, are going to take out basically a full page ad in The New York Times to undermine the president?</blockquote>
Hunter also suggested that he was totally qualified to be on Burisma&#8217;s board. One of the kind of seamy realities about the last election cycle is that some of it was about Joe Biden&#8217;s age. A lot of it was about a widespread perception of the Biden family&#8217;s absolutely deep and abiding corruption.

Hunter denied he had been put on the board of Burisma for any political reason, which, of course, is absolutely ridiculous. He had no experience in the energy sector. He couldn&#8217;t point out Ukraine on a map, and suddenly he was on the board of a Ukrainian energy firm?
It had nothing to do with his last name being Biden.
The last part of the interview was amusing — Hunter defending himself by making the argument that crack is somehow safer than alcohol, which is a hell of an argument.
But put all of this aside. Put aside the Biden administration and its corruption, the fact that Joe Biden was dead for several years, and that his family was essentially running the government. If you see Hunter as a stand-in for the Joe Biden moderate wing of the Democratic Party, things start to get interesting because Hunter Biden also spoke about policy.
There were two particular issues where Hunter Biden put specific focus: illegal immigration and Israel. These issues are the ones where Democrats are completely at odds with the American people, but they will not let it go. They are more likely to let go of the trans issue than to let go of illegal immigration and open borders, as well as the new flavor of the month, that Palestinians are the great victims in the Middle East, including Hamas, the Palestinian Authority, Islamic Jihad, and all the rest of the terrorist groups.
If you&#8217;re trying to figure out the direction of the Democratic Party, if you&#8217;re trying to get out the divining rod and determine which direction the Democratic Party is going to move into, the more moderate side or the more radical side, here’s the key: the moderates are already caving to the radicals.
They may separate from the trans stuff because it&#8217;s been so wildly unsuccessful for them. But the root cause of the Democratic Party is a belief that America is a great victimizer in the world, and therefore, America ought not to have borders, and also America’s foreign policy should be to abandon any strong ally, as long as it is beneficial to the Democratic Party.
“All these Democrats say you have to talk about and realize that people are really upset about illegal immigration,” he said. “How do you think your hotel room gets cleaned? How do you think you get food on your table? Who do you think washes your dishes? Who do you think does your garden? Who do you think is here, by the sheer, just grit and will that they figured out a way to get here because they thought that they could give themselves and their family a better chance, and he&#8217;s (Trump) somehow convinced all of us that these people are criminals? White men in America are 45 more times likely to commit violent crime than an immigrant.”
He actually concluded that statement by suggesting that we should actually force El Salvador to send back illegal immigrants. Which is funny, since the ones we&#8217;re sending to El Salvador are, by and large, people with actual criminal records.
This is vitally important because Hunter was Joe Biden&#8217;s partially functioning brain during the administration. This is the Democratic Party perspective on illegal immigration: America ought to be an open borders country because unfettered immigration, without any sort of real security, without any sort of concern about cultural assimilation, is an effective good.
That is something the Democratic Party deeply believes in. As we start discussing 2028 candidates understand, there will not be a Democrat on the stage who significantly calls for border security.
It&#8217;s not just with regard to immigration. The Democratic Party also realizes that the energy in its party is very much on the side of third-world-ism.
It&#8217;s the Zoran Mamdani belief that the Third World has been victimized by America and her allies, and therefore the Third World must have her revenge. Hunter was talking about the dramatic increase in antisemitism under his father&#8217;s administration and claimed the real reason for that is because of the Israelis. In other words, after Hamas murdered 1,200 Jews in Israel and took 250 hostage, a couple of dozen of whom are still being held hostage after a year and a half, it&#8217;s Israel&#8217;s fault that antisemitism broke out.
He quoted the noted hater of Israel, Tom Friedman, saying that the worst thing that&#8217;s happened to the Jewish people is the Israeli government. “Jewish people globally, the threats to their lives, the anti-Semitism that it has generated,” he said.
The worst thing that has happened to the Jewish people is the Israeli government, according to Hunter Biden. Then he bragged about how his father tried to hamstring Israel in its pursuit of getting back its hostages and ending Hamas, an actual, honest-to-god, American State Department-designated terrorist group in the Gaza Strip.
“He took away the bunker-busting bombs from the Israelis,” he boasted. “He tried to curtail Netanyahu&#8217;s thing. He forced Netanyahu to open up shipping lanes and aid lanes at the Rafah crossing to be able to get food aid in. He put pressure over and over and over again. And now, by the way, that is not even remotely happening. What is happening is that they were bombing food lines. There is no one in there to be able to record it. &#8230;There have been more journalists killed at this war in Gaza than in any other war combined, and nobody&#8217;s doing anything about it.”
This is propaganda on behalf of Hamas, because the reality is that the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, the GHF, which has been actually facilitating the entry of aid into Gaza, has been denying Hamas access to the food, which is why Hamas is shooting people and then attempting to insinuate itself among the population in order to shoot at Israeli soldiers, who then respond. That is the reality.
But these are the parts of the Democratic base that the Democrats are trying to woo. It is very important to them, illegal immigration, and third-world-ism. There is no systemic immunity for the Democratic Party against the radical base.
It does not exist. So if you think they&#8217;re going to nominate somebody who&#8217;s quasi-moderate in 2028, you’re wrong.
It is not going to happen.

Democrats lost the 2024 presidential election because they &#8220;did not remain loyal&#8221; to the presidential nominee, Hunter Biden <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVqiWu1fLdg">said</a> in a podcast interview.
&#8220;We lost the last election because we did not remain loyal to the leader of the party,&#8221; Hunter said. &#8220;We had the advantage of incumbency. We had the advantage of an incredibly successful administration, and the Democratic Party literally melted down.&#8221;
The son of Joe Biden blamed top Democrats for abandoning his father, former President Joe Biden.
&#8220;They had clearly made a decision. And when I say they, I mean the speaker,&#8221; Hunter said, referring to then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
Hunter made the comments on the &#8220;At Our Table&#8221; podcast hosted by Jaime Harrison, the former chair of the Democratic National Committee. Harrison interviewed Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz in the podcast&#8217;s first episode.
Hunter said the Democratic Party supported Biden, but Democrat elites rejected him.
&#8220;You know who stood by us? Who? Black caucus, Hispanic caucus, the progressive caucus, the Democratic Party,&#8221; Hunter said. &#8220;That&#8217;s the Democratic Party. You know who didn&#8217;t stand by us? The fundraisers, the elite, the people that are the insiders, the people that say they&#8217;re not part of the beltway, but you know where they are? They&#8217;re living in Beverly Hills telling you or me what it is that real people care about.&#8221;
Hunter rejected claims that his father experienced mental decline during his presidency.
&#8220;We watched him get old in front of our eyes. And that does not mean that you&#8217;re incapacitated,&#8221; Hunter said. &#8220;Your gate changes. It does not mean that you do not have the mental capacity to be able to do your job.&#8221;
Both Biden&#8217;s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/its-now-clear-there-was-a-conspiracy-bidens-doctor-pleads-the-fifth-as-gop-probes-cover-up">physician</a> and a top <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/top-jill-biden-aide-joins-white-house-doc-takes-the-fifth-in-biden-health-cover-up-probe">aide</a> for former first lady Jill Biden have pleaded the Fifth in hearings about the state of Biden&#8217;s mental capacity, The Daily Wire previously reported.
Biden struggled to finish sentences and had to be helped off the stage after a debate with President Donald Trump in June 2024. The debate led to Biden stepping down as the presidential nominee.
But Hunter still said he thinks his father &#8220;could have won.&#8221;
&#8220;We could have survived if it weren&#8217;t for the fact that we decided that — people in the Democratic party — were not going to allow it to happen,&#8221; Hunter said.
Hunter said there was no conspiracy about his father&#8217;s mental state.
&#8220;What sells is the idea of a conspiracy. What sells is a cover up,&#8221; Hunter said. &#8220;Do you realize the daily touch points that he had with people — that, by the way were not necessarily loyal to him — every single day, hundreds of people every single day during that period of time. And you can&#8217;t get one of them to go on the record.&#8221;
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/a-year-after-biden-quit-race-mike-johnson-drops-14-minute-video-exposing-dem-cover-up-of-his-decline">released</a> a video supercut Monday of Democrats defending and covering up Biden&#8217;s clear mental decline.
Hunter said critics did not &#8220;understand&#8221; Biden.
“What I think is this is that in their hearts these people have a hole and they can&#8217;t understand that Joe Biden is actually who he says he is,&#8221; Hunter said.
Biden has been caught lying about himself multiple times, including <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/zero-evidence-biden-slammed-for-once-again-lying-about-driving-an-18-wheeler">claiming</a> he used to drive 18-wheelers and appearing to claim his son Beau Biden was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/joe-biden-claims-his-son-beau-died-in-iraq">killed</a> in Iraq.

President Donald Trump reflected on the failed assassination attempt — which took place one year ago during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania — and said that while he trusted and respected the Secret Service agents charged with protecting him, they&#8217;d clearly &#8220;had a bad day.&#8221;
Trump addressed the issue during an interview with his daughter-in-law for her Fox News show &#8220;My View&#8221; with Lara Trump — which aired on the eve of the anniversary — and he made it clear that he still had &#8220;confidence&#8221; in the Secret Service despite the fact that &#8220;mistakes were made&#8221; leading up to that fateful event.

And that building was a prime building in terms of what they were trying to do.&#8221;
&#8220;So, but I was satisfied in terms of the bigger plot, the larger plot,&#8221; Trump continued. &#8220;I have great confidence in these  people, I know the people and they&#8217;re very talented, very capable. They had a bad day, and I think they&#8217;ll admit that, kind of a rough day.&#8221;
&#8220;This is a very dangerous job, being President. You know, I say a race car driver — one percent of one percent, think of that, die. That&#8217;s not a lot.
